Yeah...a very, very pointless death that never really got their due because they kept being forced to make Ice Age sequels. It should have stayed as a trilogy.

@@mesousagaby740 Agree. Also, there's that one scene from the first Ice Age movie where the main characters entered the ice cave and discovered some stuff being frozen in ice, indicating the sequels. The one with the UFO is pretty much the final one though, so I'm glad that it's over, even if the franchise ended badly. In this case for Scrats, he got the good ending he earned.

As soon I see anything that is purple in the games you play I get so excited for the running meme you guys keep up love it PURPLE NUT PUUURPPLE NUUUTT !!!

Visually, I think the game looks kind of cute. Though I am a sucker for crystals. I feel like if they made the environment have more crystals poking out of it, it would have looked cooler. Maybe have like an underlying story of some type of Crystal infection spreading out from the underground room taking over the landscape (but the only thing scrat is focused on is getting his nut), and as scrat collects the loose crystals and Crystal nuts and puts them back the infection goes away. That would be a cool storyline.

That sounds awesome and I would back that game, I thought this game was kinda cute(like Mort from madagascar) I was trying to play it in one Go but didn't finish the last world level

Remember in Ice Age 4 when he found a map underwater that took him to his nuts, well that was the ‘certified’ nutty adventure

There were so many missed opportunities for the purple song

I'm shocked they didn't make a single Purple Rain joke throughout this entire video

The Ice Age 2 video game for PS2 was a lot of fun. Lots of really gorgeous levels, fun Scrat action, cool set pieces. It’s super light on plot and for some reason doesn’t really have an ending (it doesn’t even depict the flood and just ends with Scrat going through a tunnel). But it’s still a fun game I’m glad I experienced. This… meh.

It's weird how this game feels similar to Sonic Frontiers. So.... Scrat Frontiers anyone???

That rock has a normal/bump map on it that's set too intense, that's why it looks like that. When lighting is angled on intense normal/bump maps, they can look awful. Imagine a brick wall with a diffuse (base/colour texture) map. It will look totally flat. Add a normal/bump map and it creates the illusion of definition from light. Scrat's fur meanwhile looks like that because he's been modelled with fur/hair spines. Every individual spine can be animated, affected by the environment and altered to look more realistic. This method is usually only found within cutscenes because it can cause a lot of problems in the game engine. It is an absolute pain to use this method as the spines can look incredibly flat.

I've discovered a glitch in the hub world where you have to perfectly double jump to get to a platform you would expect to have an invisible wall but you can just go through it, then you will have to find an empty area with some ground you can land on by double jumping & doing a spin attack & if you get it right you'll be able to find a lower quality version of half of level 1. Also I played this game it's ok but it should've been way better.
