I think it´s very helpfull/usefull to watch this video every now and again, just to make sure that you are not one to forget that they indeed are human beeings, not "just" idols. These boys are truely amazing and it hurts my heart everytime I watch this video, but I also think it´s healthy to watch I can´t prais ARMY enough for all the work and strateegic they have done for all these years . You have a huge part of how BTS are this big today. BTS and ARMY are truely ONE!

about jungkook...he really missed his childhood stage and didn’t really get to have fun and you know do things teens do...it’s just sad that he faced this in SUCH a young age. And I’m sooo proud of the boys for continuing and not stopping, they’re such inspiration to every people.

The whole Jimin dieting/starving was during Blood, sweat and tears comeback.

I'm so proud that even after how far they have come they did not loose their humanity and their respect towards any other artists or anybody....they really are just humble and nice people...the medicine the world needs.

Jungkook has talked about the fact that he missed growing up like a normal teenager because he became an idol at such a young age and had to mature really fast. His song MY TIME from mots:7 is about how he grew up in the limelight and how that affected him personally

They were outstanding during debut, its just that they did not have the influence or the money. They were known as the"ugly" idol group, untalented and media in south korea legit ignored them until ama or bbma in 2017. Even after their first win with "I NEED YOU" they worked as backup dancers for a fashion show because they were poor. Ok now Iam crying. Even after a smash hit like blood sweat and tears, someone said that they were not given a bigger waiting room and had to do their makeup in washrooms during comebacks because they were still considered as "dirt" from a smaller company.

You have to watch "Why BTS are treated unfair in Korea" "why BTS don't appear in korean variety shows anymore" They were mistreated by the media but they found a way to interact with fans via Bangtan bomb, Run bts, bon voyage etc. Please do watch if you want to understand why bts is respected by army.

you have to remember that jungkook was 13 when he decided that he wanted to proceed to become an idol. once he was 15, he was already a part of bighit until his debut with bts. throughout this time, he already was insinuated into the group and they were already living together as a pre-lineup. *he's now 23 years old.* he was practically parented by the elder members, literally jin would drive him to school everyday, they experienced both his *middle school AND high school graduations..* he couldn't necessarily be a sociable kid at a normal school anymore and now he had to focus in becoming an idol to take motivation from as he skipped school to go to the practice room. that ultimately even led to him missing his high school induction because of his debut and had to wait a year to get into high school. he even went on tour a couple months prior to graduating high school *(once they actually started to get big).* also the one at the end was a letter from a fan expressing their concerns *(which i heavily relate to as a 7 year long bts stan)* about having seen them grow from a small idol group to one of the biggest groups in the world and that they're proud for bts, but they look at all their success and compare it to themselves and see that they've made no improvement. along the lines of, *"we all started together (from the bottom), but i'm still just here and you're wayy... over there."*

@@nethu6577 yeah i know, i never said he failed "all subjects"/he failed because of specifically academics, but he still had to re-signup to high school a year later because of *lack of attendance* as he spent time working for his debut moreso. he got like an 8/100 in english *(if i'm remembering correctly lol),* but!! this goes to show that, even if you fail at something; you can still work on it and get better because his english has improved *SOOO MUCH* since 4-ish years ago^^💜!!

I don't know where you heard that he failed his senior year, but that's not true. The reason he graduated a year later than he was supposed to was because he took a year off after he graduated middle school, since bts had just debuted, and started high school late. The school he went to (SOPA) was tolerable of students not attending much, since they knew a lot of them were idols/trainees.

@@jmluvr1013 well that SOPA is school for idols and artist so they're very tolerance about their students attendance. Sadly that school also have scandals. I don't know if that school still operates or not today

One of the many things I admire about BTS is that they are not afraid to show us their vulnerable side. It's okay to be weak sometimes. People don't always cry because they are weak, it's sometimes because they've been strong for too long, and seeing BTS be very open about their weak sides helped me a lot to come out of my comfort zone too

Jimin was highly criticised when he stopped building his body. He was called chubby,fat...It was so heartbreaking.He got a lot of hate just because of his looks.

I love Jimin no matter what the things they say can lower a person's self esteem THATS WRONG!!1

At the end, Namjoon was quoting fan letter... The fan basically said that both he/she/they and BTS have started from the bottom but he/she/they saw that BTS were getting higher up in the sky while he/she/they was still at the ground level. The gap were getting huge and he/she/they was feeling hopeless. However, Namjoon said that BTS was once also felt as hopeless as him/her/them but they still have made it. No matter what are the circumstances, there are always possibilities for it to get better. Just trust in yourself. Personally, I can understand the fan POV... Namjoon really is the wisest among the idols leaders. The way he put his words, it's always a huge comfort for me. Not only his music and lyrics helps a lot, but also his words healed me.

The feeling when someone you deeply love and have respect towards is getting hurt or feeling low and you can't do anything or don't even know what to do at that time...... This feeling hurts soo much, after knowing that they are doing this for us and trying not to show it too much😭😭😭😭😭😭..... It hurts soo much that even when I think that they are going to cry tears start forming in my eyes 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

ikr... it will be ok if they take rest, go home and spend time with their parents and come back whenever they are comfortable...

sUga's parents were against him doing rapping that he had to leave his house [not move out, leave]. But they finally came around. He had to deal with his shoulder injury, depression and social anxiety on his own whilst maintaining an idol image. He used to get ripped off earlier when he tried to sell music. He said if he ate lunch he could not take a bus because he had no money to travel around and sell his music.

There was this one time we’re Jimin was threatened to be shot at a concert. He was so scared and though his life was really going to end that day. But what Jin did was so amazing that really showed why they are family. He dressed up the exact same as Jimin wore the same glasses and shirt and went on stage. Thankfully there was no shooting and was just a threat. But still Jin went on stage looking like Jimin and risked getting himself shot for Jimin. I can’t explain how much they love each other. Only they can.

Jhope once said on a radio show- he is jealous of his sister because his parents always compared him with her. She is more successful, learn abroad to be Dr (now a CEO for an online shop) and can speak English. I guess he felt like he achieved something at that concert, to make his parent proud as ever.

Most of the clips were from Burn The Stage the Series... And towards the last part of the video, RM was telling us that some fans wrote letters to them and saying that they're happy that BTS are getting successful but they (the fan) are still going nowhere with their life and they (the fan) started to feel that BTS is drifting away from them as they started the journey together... And RM replied that, they also didn't believe in themselves at first, they also didn't think they would make it but...they made it...

With jungkook's case about not growing mentally after he joined bts around 15, you actually see it happen all the time. Not always but sometimes child stars on things like Disney, being famous at such a young age can really really mess with a kid mentally. There are so many stories of child stars gone wrong because you are put out into the public before you even have a chance to find yourself. The members talk about it all the time how they feel bad because jungkook was introduced to all of this at such a young age he couldn't really find himself. His song my time really reflects on that

What RM is saying at the end is that fans had sent them letters telling them that they are happy for the success of bts but also feel sad because they feel like they aren't having success in their own lives. He's saying to them that even the members of bts didn't believe in themselves or think they would succeed, but even they made it, so have hope

I seriously don’t like seeing them sad but hearing what they have gone through is so relatable. It makes me feel like I’m not alone.

Jhope's mom worked two jobs and even went abroad to work so that her son could afford dance classes. His father was initially against it, and said that he wanted to better himself to impress his dad.

In the beginning when Namjoon talks about how they went to Beijing and they had to cancel a concert because of him, he's talking about death threats that were aimed at him so they cancelled the concert. That's why he says he became afraid and wondered what he was doing there. So sad that people feel they have to carry things so far. I mean, death threats, for crying out loud? People need to get a grip on themselves. These boys have never done anything to anyone to deserve that kind of treatment. Makes me so mad.

Jungkook went hardly to school. He never made many friends in school. There is a video where he is graduating and no one/not many cheered for him when his name was called.

J-Hope’s father was not supportive of his decision to be a dancer. Also, his mother took a job outside of Korea to support him. He wrote the song Mama in dedication to her.

yeah, i definitely think they seem super super wise for their age too. the more content you watch, the more you understand their outlook on things, I've realised that because of the lives they live they have truly learnt a Lot about how to be a human being at a pretty young age. it's incredible and it's yet another reason i look up to them as much as i do

The worst of all is that what they let us see or know about what they suffer is a tiny part compared to what really happens behind the camera 😢

"They do not understand that YOU'RE NOT ALWAYS HAPPY." You hit the nail on the head, sir. And that applies to Taehyung in recent months where there are some who got worried and kept saying, "Oh we want the old Tae back..." But I mean, can he not grow up, though? Is he not allowed to be less playful during interviews or other events because he's no longer 17? And is he not allowed to be sad sometimes maybe due to some family matters or something else personal? I mean, I am ARMY and my main bias is Taehyung and I admit that at first I was worried too but like, I realized, hey, he's human too and I cannot demand him or any of the Bangtan boys for that matter to act the way I want them to. I wish all of them well and hope to see them happy but I wouldn't want them to be so fake to the extent that they'd be losing themselves in the process.

I remember the first time I saw the full video of Tae telling the audience that his grandmother had passed away. My tears would not stop flowing. It was so heartbreaking to see him sad but also inspiring to see him willing to be open and vulnerable.

13:40 "i can't fully understand what he means" well..he means..that usually 15 year olds...usually..study ,hangout with friends and u know..enjoy their childhood but for JK ...since he became a trainee at 15..he didn't have the normal life like a 15 year old..he worked instead of studying and enjoying..so he just means ..he felt like his childhood is over.. so sad TT TT 💜💜😔😔

Keep in mind when JK is talking about becoming a trainee at the age of 15, he's talking about Korean age, which is a year or two older than international age. He was actually 13 when he became a trainee and he was 15 when they debuted. He was literally still a child and hadn't hit puberty yet when he left his family to start working.

i'd really recommend watching their documentaries series burn the stage, bring the soul, and break the silence. it follows them through their tours and shows their thoughts & feelings in a really candid light

Huge part of the reason I became ARMY not that long ago is because they show their "human" side, always. No matter the song, album, broadcast, project...they share themselves with us in a way I've never seen an artist do before. The level of respect and admiration I have for them goes beyond the sky and it'll continue to be that way for many years to come. They're beautiful human beings inside and out.

I, like many other fans, started liking their music. But the more I started to know how hardworking they are, and supportive of eahc other they are, the more i started liking THEM, not only their music. I really think they are very good people, and very committed with their art. They are awesome, and I really wish them all the success they deserve and I hope they can keep sharing their talent with all of us

Break The Silence series also contains some very special moments and their inmost thoughts. It made all of us tear up

That's the crazy thing about Jimin that I never really could wrap my head around: he was never considered as one of the good looking guys in BTS. Which, again, is crazy because like 3 second clips of him go viral with people asking who he is and he's just so ethereal with girls, guys, and anyone else going crazy for him, but that wasn't always how people saw him and sadly the negative effects still linger. It breaks my heart.

Whenever I feel so down or I feel like no one understands me, I wouldd always remember what jimin says... "Remember that there is a person from Seoul, South Korea who understands you..." That words really comforted me a lot.

when I became a fan at 2014... I never thought we will become so big.... every comeback, I see the fandom grows and I still can't believe what's happening....

they have 3 docu-series following their world tours: Burn the Satge; Beak the Silence; Bring the Soul. as informative as these fan compilations are, i highly encourage you to look at the original content yourself and take your own conclusions. it’s inevitable that fan compilations will be a little (or a lot) biased towards that person’s opinions of them, even the way clips are cut and taken out of context can influence your perception of the boys.

Did anyone watch the Map of the Soul On:E? They were so open and honest about being frustrated...At the end, when they took their final bows, you could see they weren’t truly happy without an audience, people in the seats... I love that about BTS, they were real in that moment...they’re professionals and it didn’t effect the performance (at least in my eyes), but they were real in their feelings...and I hope all ARMY realize they aren’t ungrateful, but real and honest... That’s all I though of during this video and you saying multiple times , they’re just human and they can’t be “on” all the time...thank you!

I do not know how many people know this but Suga had/has social anxiety. I had social anxiety and it never fully goes away. I dont have many people to face around me but imagine suga, a worldwide superstar with flashing cameras all around. that was my first time watching that video, and i shredded into tears. my eyes are so puffy, but i am so glad that i watched that video. of course, i keep in mind that they are just normal human beings that have struggles and feelings, but this video hit differently. the way the members worded their speeches was so touching and it just made me so sad to hear their stories. i constantly remind myself that they are just humans and they have feelings, just like us. but because i've grown as an army, loving them more and more each day, listening to them talk about their struggles makes me feel really sad. thinking about the fans that don't realize these things doesn't make me happy, it makes me sort of angry in some way. it doesn't feel right that some people forget this.💜

I wish I could them in person someday and just hug each one of them and thank them for coming into my life.

A lot of the clips are from two documentary series: Burn the Stage (from the 2017 tour I believe), and Break the Silence (from the 2018-2019 tour). Both were docuseries of 8 episodes, and then for each one there was also a movie. I definitely recommend you check them out, there's a lot of really interesting insight in there, and you'll see a lot of stuff you likely haven't seen anywhere (for example, arguments that they've had, how they've resolved, etc.)

Great reminder that BTS are people, like you and me. That have feelings and emotions too. Get tired and need a break/rest, need privacy. Not character/person that is there to entertain you.

Namjoon was talking about letters from the fans who have been with BTS from the time when they were not famous. And while at first they were growing together at the same pace, BTS suddenly blew up later and i guess many fans felt insecure that they won't be able to match up, so it felt like they're so far away. Plus with time BTS did become less active on social media and stopped actually interacting with us (which is perfectly fine since every their tweet gets like hundreds of thousands of comments in like half an hour and it's literally impossible to reply to people), so that factor too.

BTS is the most genuine, truest, and sincere people i know in entertainment industry... I really love them do much

I cry every time I watch this video. They were given so much hate in the beginning it was scary seeing Jimin diet so hard you could see his bones sticking out. RM and JHope being told they were ugly. Now looking back I realise that the hate came from the people who could see what talent they had and knew that they could take off as no other KPOP group has done before. I’m proud to say I’m ARMY and that together we can achieve so much. BTS deserve the world and every happiness for their hard work and strong mindedness that has kept them going forward and giving us such beautiful memories both on and off the stage 💜
