This Hugely Successful Toy Company Loves Inventors

zuru.com/
The toy company ZURU is one of the fastest growing toy companies in the world, and it's all about licensing toy inventions. In fact it has licensed dozens and dozens of ideas from independent inventors, some among its very most popular. For example, it sells about 30 million packs of Bunch o Balloons a year, a toy it licensed from inventor Josh Malone. It's latest game-changer is in the party balloon market. CEO Nick Mowbray describes his unique company strategy for bringing products to market, including complex automation with robotics. Another licensed toy product was the Robo Fish. He also discusses the role of patent protection and how to get in touch with his company.

  • @inventRight

    @inventRight

    That is not a yes or no question, that's a matter of strategy. Filing a PPA with the USPTO is inexpensive and gives you a year of patent-pending status.

    @@inventRight Thanks a lot for replying! I am from India and I spoke to a patenting attorney regarding the process for an Indian to file a PPA with the USPTO. It seems like a rather long and expensive process. Is it so? Or is there a simple and inexpensive way to do it?
