    Pyrion's willingness to keep in the "we didn't do a mark" bit is why I listen to his content so frequently. 😂

    Hopefully we get a return of Rog the Ledge' I always thoroughly look forward to these videos. It's such a treat every week, and I also feel like Joe's casting has approached professional levels. Hopefully pyrion can get him a nepo' job to try his hand at casting 😅

    The reason Jug doesn't care about a level 1 SK ult is because his Blade Fury gives him a whopping 80% magic resistance. With his base magic resistance that brings him up to 85%. SK's level 1 ult deals 660 dmg before reductions, but a meager 99 dmg against Jug's spin. Most heroes would be shitting themselves against an Epicenter, but Jug is an exception due to that one ability.

    Take a cue from the HotS Lich, give the chain frost some actual chains. Bouncing is still random but every time it bounces it attaches a chain to the person it hits and pulls all chained targets toward one another a bit. If you catch people close together, or if they don't scatter fast enough, they have to eat the whole thing since the bounces happen faster than they can walk the distance slowed.

    I partially disagree with Pyrion on the Rosh pit changes. Obviously the older Rosh pit positioning had some problems, but I think that the current positioning is too far away from anything. Rosh fights seem really rare now because once one team decides to start doing Rosh, it's basically already too late for the other team to respond. The only options for response late game are to walk all the way to the far corner of the map or blindly tp to an outpost that is probably watched and warded by the other team. Instead, the enemy team just decides "fuck it, we'll fight them on the high ground" which I think helps lead to these super prolonged games. If Rosh isn't contestable, then there's no reason for the enemy team to risk leaving high ground. Maybe it's different in the pro-scene, but that's just what I've noticed.

    Teams do contest Rosh in pro games, but you're right in judging that the fights rarely happen _at_ the pit - they happen around the twin gate high ground and the general lane corner area. Steals are much less common, and teams are much more willing to leave the pit and fight in a wider area around it rather than going all-in to kill Rosh fast.

    Not often I'm early enough that it's only bots in the comments. Also, pyrion, you need to last hit in league. Used to not be the case I believe though so I get why he'd think that.

  • @MrTuneslol

    @MrTuneslol

    because league players are usually just worse at MOBA's. You also can't deny in league so the overall focus on last hitting is greatly minimized. It's mostly a kills focussed game.

  • @gd1247

    @gd1247

    @@MrTuneslol last hits still matter a lot, especially as kills don't lose the opponent gold in league (except for denying farming time). But yeah, it is a much simpler game, dota is way more interesting mechanically.

    You always needed to last hit in League. Some seasons last hitting didn't matter as much, but it's always been a thing. HotS doesn't require last hitting though, just getting the XP.

    last hitting in league is not the same as last hitting in dota, but yea you gotta click on creeps

  • @TheNotshauna

    Last hitting is a lot easier in league than in DotA to the point where the best players get almost all of the last hits in a game. Additionally good players are extremely good at minion management to set up freezes and slow pushes, something that's not really possible in DotA because of denies and the ability to leash jungle creeps into your wave. As someone who has spent a frankly scary amount of time in league and still a lot of DotA 2 the belief league players are worse than DotA players is wildly untrue. Like League of Legends regularly has people in the bottom 20% of players who are able to do combos on Lee Sin that would make a DotA mechanics video, mostly because DotA is simply less mechanically intense than League. DotA is so much more about good decision making and playing around ridiculously strong items and abilities, whereas league's much shorter crowd control duration and high mechanical depth allows people to play unbelievably good. A character like Lissandra has spent most of her life as a pro play staple because of the strength of her ultimate, a reliable 1.5 second stun that is a point and click. When DotA has basic abilities that are extremely powerful point and click CC. DotA has vastly superior strategic depth with it being next to non-existent in League, but League absolutely requires a higher level of mechanical skill.
