ITB's were definitely the move for this build I think. They really compliment how extra that header looks too. I can't wait to hear it. The ITB's coupled with an equal length header should sound absolutely amazing.

ITBs are fun, all our cars had ITBs and carburetor with dual side draft dcoe webber, ski, mikuni. But we later upgraded to super charged OEM toyota 4ag.

I always say this, but the driving content tanks + Jimmy isn’t a massive fan, he’s a typical engineer, happier tinkering than using the cars I swear 🤣

it’s no surprise how well this engine bay is turning out, Jimmy doesn’t miss. this car is so cool

Big header, itb's... Jimmy is doing us corolla boys a solid and keeping it OG in a sense and that's all that matters to me. Killer work man!

I really wish the compression ratio would have been increased for all the jam but that can always be done later. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

This is so sick man. I can’t believe people aren’t about it! It’s same combo as what you’d do with a beams or 4age but with a better more efficient engine. I love it. Would of sucked to put a LS or try to fit any I6 into it. Keep it up boys ❤️

When you want the brake booster to work with ITB's, just use the alternator from a diesel Corolla, it has a vacuum pump attached to power the booster 😎

hey Jimmy, with the ITBs if the manifold has individual vacuum ports run them to a vacuum block and run the booster off that. the bonus of using a vacuum block is that you can also run a intake MAP sensor off the vacuum block for full VE tuning instead of just TPS. also think about adding an exhaust MAP sensor to help with VE tuning. ive done the above (vac block, Intake and exhaust MAP) on my angery 4age 16v in my AE86, and it made tuning and data logging so much more useful.

The ITB’s the manifold the hole engine setup is 🔥🔥. The hole colour way as it is at the moment with black engine bay red top the black on the ITB’s against the grey primer body is kind of growing on me. Can’t wait to see this build finished

You should put out a long video if plugging in every sensor, connector etc.......we always see the coils and injectors I'd love to see the whole process. For those of us who haven't afforded one yet we "get the idea" but would love to see the application step by step.

@@dmarshsjs1011 it's a matter of taste. where i grew up we only had the hatchback levin front. sow i love that version... And on a side note. It's called The corolla coupe... A bit funny when it's the hatch everywhere else. No levin no Ae86..Just a Corolla.. :)

@@Runetone interesting. Yeah definitely a matter of taste. I've always been a pop up fan. It looks timeless as opposed to the big bulky looking headlights that are on a Levin but that's just my opinion. Either way they're great looking cars

Hell Yeah Brother! From the second I saw that gangster exhaustmanifold, I started like praying that you actualy got ITB's and you are in fact rocking ITB's! First startup will be insane! If you are an old skool petrolhead like I am, the sound will be like an emotional experience. I just watched the New Gymkana with the Hoonitron, it looks right, but doesn't sound right. Use a tapping oil on the threads after cutting but before taking the bolt off. It will pull any trace metal debris from the lower grooves of the threads. Machinist tip.

@jimmy! I ran a 1985 1.6 golf on bike carbs and only connected the vacuum to one runner, it worked perfectly for brake boosting and vacuum to the distributor
