Always good to spray brake cleaner on the rotors and wire brush that surface to make a solid flat contact with spacer. Also use anti seize on the spacers in case you want to remove them in the future.

Happy with my KSP spacers. I got them in a 1", which I think is perfect. Didn't want a 1.5". It's just enough to clear components without being too far out.

I installed 1.5” KSP wheel spacers on my 2018 TRD off road tacoma about 4 years ago. Did not not feel comfortable using the extended tapered wheel lug nuts (since the stock wheel stud didn’t protrude enough out of the back of the tapered extended lug nut). I ended up replacing the wheel studs with longer ones, then I cut them to size so they wouldn’t be so long so that the spacer could still sit flush on the disk brake mating surface. Long story short, it was a pain, but I do have peace of mind. It did however take more time for just wheel spacers. But I definitely love the look of my wheels having that “poke” while still being safe! Great video and disclosures before people try this mod!

@@JesseRizo I got some ARP studs that were high quality for multiple Toyota vehicles. They were correct size as far as diameter but I did have to cut the length to size, as well as use the tapered lug nuts for extra peace of mind. I will disclose though that it did require some cutting on the back of the disk brake water/shield to be able to get the wheel studs out and in, not to mention the install of the new wheel studs did require the use of a impact wrench to pull the studs though since they were exact press to fit. Hope this helps! Also, great content been watching g your channel since you started doing Tacoma stuff! Keep it up!

If i put a 1.25" wheel spacer on my truck will it be ok to run a 10ply light truck tire in a 275 60 r20?

Thought negative offset pushes out?

It does I use to have a higher negative offset I believe it was like -25 or something like that and now I’m down to -12 so before i had a bigger lip pushing out the rim now with this smaller - offset it’s more of a less lip giving me more in the back of the rim

Those bead-lock wheels & 35's must be killing your MPGs. That's probably over 110 Lbs per tire/wheel. Crazy weight on all four corners for a Tacoma. Do the few inches of height from 35s really outweigh the MPG savings from a 33?

When I went 35s it wasn’t a huge difference especially if u regear I’m regeared to 5.29 once I put the bead locks on that’s when the mpg died lol

I’m going to install 1.5” spacers to get a wider look on my 2020 Tacoma. I don’t do any off roading just used for daily driving.

You will be replacing front bearings, Toyota bearings are not meant to handle spacers
