Symptoms
In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

With demographics of so many baby boomers it’s been difficult to find 80-90% human grey and less density to a hair system, most companies are out of stock. I’m sharing with you to see if there’s a way for you to look into this slice of the pie. You have encouraged many individuals as I see on here and I’m looking to start wearing a system again. Thanks Jake

Check with Lordhair or Lavivid but look into purchasing a custom, rather than a stock piece.

I gave up on salons bro! After 2 bad experiences with 2 different salons, I go to a 3rd one, the lady charges $225 for cut in 😒 My system was not ordered fit for my head 8×10 stock, I'm more like 6×9) . So she acts as if it is completely out of the ordinary that she has to measure and create a template for me like it's something she doesn't ever do...so she measures and does the template, which I had to help her with bc she has no staff. She did a very average job on the cut in, not impressive, then I go to pay and she charges me $360 😡😡😡 I questioned her on this and she explained that she had to do more work and that is why she was charging me $135 more on top of her already unreasonable fee. I was pissed and now do everything myself. My mother cuts the hair system for me and does a much much better job than any of the 3 salons ever did! My Girlfriend could cut it, but I d Have not yet told her its not my real hair.. I do understand that this is probably not the norm, and my region of the country does not have much to choose from, but the moral of the story is every man who goes on this hair system journey should be ready to learn quickly for themselves and break the shackles of having to go to a salon. Lots of vultures and snakes in the industry, no surprise there 😆😆😆 But I appreciate all of your advice over last 2 years Jake! You were right from the start when u gave me that same advice to learn for myself as quickly as I could

Man, that fee was nuts. My first system only cost $200 to install (I walked in with a system I pre-purchased) and that included the stylist cutting the piece to fit my head, giving me a hair cut, etc. I even thought that was high and have now opted to do it myself but $1750???

That sucks for the groom. They knew they couldn't fix the because 98% of the time the color is fixed and all cuticle has been destroyed. Unless you are starting with blonde and toning it down results are still not guaranteed. $1700 Holy moly what a serious rip off. Thanks for the info and awaring those who might not know what and how the industry is ripping off consumers.

used to use a salon in uk, they used to sell me systems like 3 times as much as the normal price, i waited months for it and they gave me a total different system that i ordered and they tried to sell me hair hydrating spray and leave on conditioner for 4 times as much as i could buy from amazon!!! channels like this one helped me so much so i dont need to rely on these money sucking leeches. thank you.

as of now, no. maybe in the future, but right now i'll be travelling, so i dont really want to deal with that extra hassle. honestly man, i could make you a video and show you how to do it. it takes like 5 minutes lol

@@JakeKent Yea that makes sense. The cutting of the base is something I can do, it's more so a convenience when it is done from service, not a deal breaker. The haircut, def can't do myself, but it's handy as I can just put it on and look decent from word go. The savings are considerable though so I think it's worth it. I'll shoot you an email. Thanks man!

Jake! Nice to see a new vid man! These kind of companies really are the worst. Colour, density and texture is KEY to achieving a super realistic and undetectable hair system. Plus cost - Jeez. It’s profiteering, plain and simple and preying on a clients situation. Keep up the good work 👊🏼

Dude you are awesome ! I’m going to hit you up, I’m currently paying 1000 for a custom system with install, then 150$ every 3 weeks. And my stylist is awesome and everything but its a lot of money. The hair systems are from hairskeen, and they always shed like crazy, i can run my finger thru my hair And every time, just globs of hair. Get thin and bald patches so fast on the poly thin. We are doing a Lace system next maybe it’ll last longer but I am at the salons mercy as to when i can get it installed. That’s the worst. Right now my 2 month old system has a huge bald spot on it and i can’t do anything about it until they get me in. And she’s always 100% booked so I basically had to create my 3 week appointments a year in advance lol.

Great video Jake. In my country it's almost impossible to find a salon that have fair prices. 1000$ is the minimum and the hair quality is kinda bad. It'll be amazing if you could make a video on how to cut your own system. I tried to do that and completely failed.

Jake, your system looks really good here; fashionable but totally natural and pretty conservative and restrained in terns of density. The colour totally matches your stubble too. Just what I'm after. I'd like to arrange a consultation, I'll send you an email.

@JakeKent oh OK. I tried the email link on the about section but it brought me to another page. I'd have to let my sides grow out but I'm curious. I figured I'd buy the piece myself and go to a stylist until I learn how to cut it myself.
