It was funny because I was saying the other day how mine are still on 8 years later. I think on that year EVO they come with the option of being clear, like in Japan...

100% agree - need to do without the rear diffuser for *this specific build* Oem parts, amber lights, etc... All goes perfectly with this built.

I’m glad you brought up those 2 things at the end. Rear diffuser and lights. OEM is the way. The Evo looks SO SICK. keep it up.

+1 on the JDM tail lights. The other ones already had some failed leds top middle row passenger side. Those rusted rotors are eye magnets!

I'll say I like the smoked side markers better, but the amber is good too. Those tails are so much better. Diffuser is nice too. Toss up whether that or the spats would work better. Dealers choice on that one.

hi. yes, the rear optics need to be returned to the stock. I think it would be ideal for evo to do this: remove the rear diffuser, put small ailerons on the rear bumper for a full-fledged carbon style, tighten the place behind the number with a black film. You can also think about making black stripes in the lower parts of the doors. It will turn out very well. I hope you like the idea )))

Definitely agree the rear diffuser has to go and fit the side spats instead, then it will be perfection 😊

Yes, I was one of the haters on the full rice tails.. so glad you changed it to oem.. the rear diffuser is OK in my opinion but do what makes you happy.. funny thing here is australia most blinkers for years have been orange by default and we swap out for clear.. must be we want that is different.. lol

Glad that the JDM tails went back on along with the amber turn signals, it definitely completes the JDM look. Rear spats by Rexspeed will look great and add a nice touch to the rear compared to the rear diffuser. Nonetheless, great build and glad you felt the same about the rear.

Those plate lights make the whole rear look clean n fresh. Much better tail lights as well.

Saw that rain guard fly off on the drive! Glad you took those hideous tails off. Think you said they were expensive and right side already had a bunch of blown out leds

Agree with the JDM tails. Also, I like the rear diffuser, i think it just needs the Mitsubishi Badge on the boot, the boots are pretty big and empty, so its good to have the badge break it up a little.

If you think the diffuser is too much, that style diffuser looks good on the VA wrx

Devin i have a CH Lancer and that brake light goes all the time. No issue with the car at all just keeps blowing. Put an LED replacement light in it not had an issue since.

With that in mind, I would never say something bad about a part of a build that someone mentioned having always wanted to do. THAT SAID.....I agree, and thought those LED tails were atrocious, and definitely think it looks soooooo much better with the JDM tails. Good call bro

Oem rain visors are nice. They do have a slight purple tint brand new out of the box. But I loved mine. Only option.

I never even thought about replacing my tag bulbs until my girls cars burnt out and I replaced them with Led ones. I had to do it to mine as well. Looks way better and cleaner on any car and it's under 20 bucks

I must say the the change to the orange side markers and the JDM taillights was the best decision. I personally now would remove the rear diffuser and use the carbon fiber rear side aprons. Proper Build nevertheless.

I would also suggest to instal only the rear logo on the car and to ditch the diffuser as well. Nice video as always though dude.

I was rather surprised when you put the rain guards on. I can't remember the last time you put them on any of the cars. Sorry to see that one decided to dip out. Thoughts on doing a yellow digital camo pattern half-wrap to complement the Evo X Camo half-wrap?

From an Evo guy: Get rid of the diffuser too, unless you track the car and need the downforce, which is not the case.

I think most importantly you should enjoy the look of your car based on your taste. If it were up to me though, the diffuser would go for sure, and I would at least put the Mitsubishi logo in the middle of the trunk, so it doesn't look so empty. Good luck on the dyno!

I’ve got to say I love the led tails, all I would do is tint them slightly to try to hide the board and blend so you don’t see every single led

Should get some led bulbs for the back less heat and less amperage draw on your alternator

I think the diffuser kills the rear look. just get the rexpeed rear bumper carbon extensions and it'll look mint. (and see? That's why I said I like OEM rain guards: the pop rivets save it in case of stuff like that)

bulb lost it's vacuum open to atmosphere and turned white inside, sometime you see it with valves for guitar amplifiers too. white and yellow stuff is tungsten oxide on the inside of the glass.

Lights look way better and also I'm a massive fan of de badging cars but on the Evos I actually think the Mitsubishi Evo badge across the center of the boot looks good 👍
