One of my favorite things on KZread is when you find a random person who subscribes to the same channels as you and you see their comments on different niches and you become “comment section friends” and get excited when you see them 😆 Similar to driving next to the same person for a long time and then they pass you or something and you see them again a half hour later….although admittedly this may be just a me thing 🤣

I love that too! When I see comments from the same person on a bunch of videos from people/about things I like, I sometimes look at their channel to see if they have any playlists, since there might be videos from people and/or about stuff I like I haven’t seen in them. And if there is a playlist, I usually do find some good videos in them lol

I love this. So many times people have replied to a comment of mine like "hey, I remember you from the GTLive community" or "hey, I saw you watching the DSMP" and I'm like wow it feels nice to be remembered even for something so small. Also probably helps that people were directly paying for something. The "homeless" guy just generally said he was hungry and wanted money (was also not wearing cheap stuff so that probably made people second guess if he was homeless. Homeless people can and do have nice things sometimes but the general public does not picture a homeless person with a nice watch and well groomed hair and beard. so my guess is they went "oh this crazy. guy is freaking out I gotta get past fast"). I feel like people are probably more comfortable knowing exactly where there money is going

I think it's also a framing effect with the parking meter. If you give Rich Key 5 cents, your contribution solves his problem. Meanwhile with Poor Key, he's asking for much less than he would need to buy food. Without giving them a specific goal or progress towards that goal, the problem feels insurmountable, and it feels easier to do nothing about it.

Someone else copy and pasted the comment on a different video of the same song and got more likes and responses than my original. That's fine, that part didn't really bother me. What DID get me were the replies I started to get accusing ME of stealing the comment, even though the time stamps were like a few months apart. It was wild lmao

The reason we say “excuse my french” is because back when france invaded england english and french mixed, the french being higher class citizens used french words for most stuff. @@qk7x Oh yeah. I'm stupid. For some reason, I thought he died in the 1800s. I know as a kid I got Thomas Eddison confused with Thomas Jefferson, and Edisioon and Tesla were alive at the same time, so that's probably why. I suck at history.

The crazy thing is, there's a person like that for almost every type of viewer, and their preferred content. 2 prominent faces I know are "Just Some Guy Without a Mustache" and "Wilfred Cthulhu".

It's weird to me when a channel does both """pranks""" and humanitarian "feed-the-homeless" - type content. The tones required for both kinds of videos couldn't be more opposite.

Same! I clicked on a random video yesterday and got super excited to see him again. XD

The other day there was a homeless older man who looked sickly and he was holding a sign asking for food because he had lost everything... I wanted to go buy him what I could but then.. a hero came up to him and gave him bags and bags full of food and drinks- bottled water, packs of soda, lots of chips and sandwiches filling multiple bags for this man who was suffering. That man couldn't stand up properly but he tried and started crying from the kindness the other man gave him. I was so touched, I started crying too. It's easy to forget there are extremely loving people other there because the evil is so loud and in your face everywhere. Keep your eyes peeled and you'll see there truly is so much love out there, and we should all work to be heroes like that man and others. Faith in humanity restored!
