I couldn’t believe how lethargic they came out in that third period like they were afraid to move up the ice after that penalty kill . They need to play these next two games with the same heart and intensity they played the first 4 ! Fck the canes rangers pull through this is the second place team in the nhl and I do t have snd issue with trouba because he’s right ! It’s a fact only two teams have done what you are asking why not ! Because they are playing an extremely talented team and all 6 games were tight ! Let’s see them bounce back band repay that favor

Absolutely pathetic. The Rangers need to EARN a win to advance. The players played like they could coast behind great goal tending. Soft, pathetic, embarrassing.

This group hasn't always responded. Someone has to remind them NJD or Tampa (4 loss in a row). If this happens again, then I give up. With the exception of Trochek, it seems that they are mentally not prepared to be winners. I hope i'm wrong... 🙏

The only problem this team has had for a while now is a coach. They need a young energetic coach.

Canes are in our zone 80% of the game whenever the rangers had the puck they dump it out and give it right back to them and they would come back in the zone shooting all over the place

They do the usual pass pass game too when in their zone instead of trying to get some puck luck or deflections. This has been going on for 3 games. We lucked into a W the first game this started happening and then it just got worse and yet Lavi didn't adjust or change anything. That scares me the most no adapting to what is going on in front of him when he did before.

Carolina is the best in the playoffs on the forecheck. They commit as a team to the press. We don’t have a team commitment to stay in their zone and send 2 to the puck and out number them. Sick of good rangers teams in the playoffs always being a defensive team. I just want to dominate teams and have the puck the whole game.

No heart, terrible effort from the core. They have the talent. They have the coaching. These playoffs will decide if the core has what it takes to win a championship or should be broken up.

You cant just not play offense with a lucky 1 goal lead. Keep the puck in their end for more than 5 seconds. Prevent D does not ever work in any sport.

I don't care what anybody says. If you're an honest fan with yourself of this Ranger fan base like I am outside of game one every other game, they've been dominated virtually on the boards down low possession time... They've been lucky enough to pull out a couple wins in OT and they're still in a decent position where they just got to win one. But let's definitely not act like this is a team that's built that could actually beat Florida. Florida is a little bit more like Carolina on steroids with a little bit more scoring and a lot more hitting and this Ranger team as frail as it's been built isn't made for getting past Florida

Well the Rangers had an opportunity to win Game 4 when they tied the game at 3-3. and the series could have ended in a sweep but CAR was due on the PP and they finally scored to win. Every team in every sport in the postseason needs luck especially in the NHL playoffs.

It does not matter. Rangers are predestined to lose. I have seen it in my dreams. Rangers are done in game seven 5 to 3.

I think next time try the following: Don't spend an entire game trying to protect a one goal lead you lost long ago. Pass to teammates, maybe even half the time, because if you always just pass it directly to the other team, that means they have possession. That's good for them, not for you. I know it's fun to slowly skate around your defensive zone because you get to rest, daydream, and make plans for when you blow the playoffs, but occasionally pretending you want it to go near their net is at least proper etiquette to the fans. You may consider it an outdated tradition, but giving a darn while you're on the ice is something people used to really like about watching their team play. Hope this helps

Not good. That 1st Canes goal was PATHETIC. Schneider gets burned by the slowest/oldest player on their team, then his defensive partner, Miller refuses to prevent him from making a move across the net. Where was the effort on that play? Somebody better be in that locker room stepping up and calling out that performance. Losing is one thing (Carolina is good), but losing like this was embarrassing.

Gustafsson needs to sit. Can't handle the puck and has no speed. Trouba played better this game but 3rd pair is horrible together. Neither one can handle the puck or skate out of trouble.

Trouba has the same answer all the time so goes Mika why does this team like to play with the puck and miss pass.

To me it looked like they got lazy in the third period they looked like they just sat down and stopped playing hockey and to win they can't do that they need to attack the puck not hang back and wait for it

Prevent win defense never wins game. After Trouba goal. Rangers shoyld have been all over them like white on rice. Cane D men give puck up when pressured. Burns is 100 years old and Orlov sucks when pressured and takes penalties.

PRO-TIP for the Rangers...stop being cute with the puck, and take more shots on goal...ALOT more shots on goal...oh, and one other tip, let Rempy loose, and start tearing people up. Let him fight...let him add some energy and life to these overrated stars like Panarin who turn invisible in the playoffs. Your team is getting out hustled, out manned, out gunned, and beat up. Let Rempe fight DeAngelo. start playing with some fire, and again stop with the finesse BS and circling the puck behind the net when you have a shot to take, shoot the dam puck on goal. this is miserable to watch.

They are good on PK too, creating chances and killing time. They use to do more 5 v5 but it has been a long time since that. Also Panarin is a ghost out there too. Cuylle was good at least. Idk why Lavi didn't have them be more physical.
