I don't know if they're literally suffering from delusions or just have broken boundaries (I use those words carefully as I don't like using psych language flippantly) but whatever it is, it's disturbing to be subject to it. I think Mohamed went into it so he could come to America, yes, but I truly believe he also was hoping for a PARTNERSHIP with Danielle at the very least and that maybe love would grow from that. She lied to him about her financial situation!!!! It was so bad that their phones were cut off, their electricity was cut off, AND SHE HAS GONE TO JAIL FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD. If Danielle didn't look the way she did, so many more people would see her for the abuser she is. I can't stand Danielle. I can understand why he was sensitive about Louisa holding money over his head. He's in a completely new country, desperately wants a job and thinks she can help him, but all she does is use him as a boy toy then throw the fact that he can't pay for anything in his face. I can't wait for you to react to the rest of their journey, you'll understand so much more where Mohammed is coming from.

50% of marriages actually don't end in divorce, and they've never been that high to begin with. That number came from the 1970s as a prediction of what the divorce right 'might' be in the future. Only 35-40% actually end in divorce, and even then that number is actually decreasing. It was also found 70% of marriages from 1990 onwards are still intact.

1:01:26 completely disagree. It is VERY easy for someone to make someone else hate themselves, especially if that person was someone they felt strongly about at the time. This isn't about taking accountability, this is someone in a position of power over someone else using that to make the other person feel awful about themselves, and walking away from it is usually really damn hard, speaking personally I tried multiple times to leave my ex but she guilted me back every time, it took her physically assaulting me for me to finally have the ammunition to leave her. What's going on here is textbook abusive relationships, which strikes me as odd that you'd miss that considering how often you've mentioned experiencing bad relationships Leo : / If what Mohammed said was true that is not on him, that is on Danielle. Adding to this I have no sympathy for her at all, I used to see both sides but it takes a nasty piece of work to threaten someone with deportation if they don't love you, can't believe how little is being said about that, it's totally fucked.
@emilygreene6779
8 ай бұрын
Totally agree with you. After years of being in an abusive relationship as well, my ex had gotten me to feel shame for all the things about myself that I had originally had pride in. It's easy to learn to hate yourself if the person you see almost every hour of the day slowly convinces you that everything wrong is your fault.

Not that I like Danielle and it does feel like she's going for annulment more for revenge but doesn't the marriage visa come with the stipulation of being financially responsible for the non-native spouse? You're 100% correct. Danielle would have had to provide proof that her finances could support him alongside any of her existing expenses before the approval went through. Unless TLC pulled strings, this is the case for everyone and to remove the limitations on a green card after 2 years of marriage post-K1-visa, she would have had to show that her finances were even more solid and plentiful. I know this because my partner and I are just beginning the K1 (or potentially CR1) process ourselves with research and we've been together since 2018. It's only now that my partner makes enough that we're eligible.

It's odd, because normally I agree with Leo on his relationship takes, but I tripped pretty hard at the start with the physical attraction bit. But that's just because I'm asexual and it made me remember why I'm single--not because I want to be, but because sex seems to be the primary objective for most people, and I'm in it for a good meeting of the minds and supportive partnership. Not that I won't put out for someone I love, but it's not for my benefit. Anyway, that being said, I'm Ace, not blind, and I do appreciate a nice appearance. Less like, "Damn, I'd tap that," and more like, "Dang, I want to draw that, do you think they'd hold still while I sketch?" So maybe that counts...?

I can give it only if i get the relationship, bonding n safety. But a las. I just rather wait till i meet another Ace in my age range. It’s crazy how many people pretend they understand and i have to protect myself from them trying to force sex on me. In the physical attraction? Eh it’s not a deal breaker for me, mental and physical health? Way more important. Bodies change as we grow, why would i cut out so many beautiful adventures? Im also pan romantic, gender n genitalia doesn’t matter either. I been to ace socials and many are way too young for me. That’s the one line i don’t ever cross. But it’s fun meeting other Aces at events. It’s like loving a show everybody hates n then u go to a con with people that love the show as much as u do. 😊

@@_Elizabeth_theMaid Very unlikely. In fact, with more couples getting married later in life or just not getting married at all, more prevalent marriage counseling, marital laws that give women more legal say and autonomy since the 1960s, etc.(private investigators were often hired in the 1950s by wives to obtain photographic proof of their husbands infidelity so as to be granted a divorce that was both justifiable both legally and in the court of public opinion), it's highly unlikely (tho technically not impossible) for the divorce rate to ever climb that high.

@emilygreene6779
8 ай бұрын
Totally agree with you. After years of being in an abusive relationship as well, my ex had gotten me to feel shame for all the things about myself that I had originally had pride in. It's easy to learn to hate yourself if the person you see almost every hour of the day slowly convinces you that everything wrong is your fault.
I wonder if he took the train because they absolutely would ask for ID on a plane and he might have gotten deported. 😬
I feel so bad for her kids, idk how they're so much more mature than she is 😑 they're trying to make the best out of their situation with their mom.

Dear, unfortunately kids usually take the responsibility when they figure out that their parent isn't reliable at all for emotional comfort and such. It's upsetting since she doesn't seem bad at all, but someone has to step up to the plate. Since she clearly doesn't do such thing, I'm glad the children have managed to grow "without such problems" (at least the show doesn't show it).

You label someone as "Danielle Ohio" when you're talking to at least one other Danielle in another place and you're trying to keep track of them.
She is so immature and emotionally underdeveloped.
Not that I like Danielle and it does feel like she's going for annulment more for revenge but doesn't the marriage visa come with the stipulation of being financially responsible for the non-native spouse? That would be a legitimate reason for the annulment because by showing the marriage was in bad faith the native person is no longer responsible for the ex partner. Or am I wrong?

You're 100% correct. Danielle would have had to provide proof that her finances could support him alongside any of her existing expenses before the approval went through. Unless TLC pulled strings, this is the case for everyone and to remove the limitations on a green card after 2 years of marriage post-K1-visa, she would have had to show that her finances were even more solid and plentiful. I know this because my partner and I are just beginning the K1 (or potentially CR1) process ourselves with research and we've been together since 2018. It's only now that my partner makes enough that we're eligible.

I didn't think a lovers to enemies trope existed, but 90 Day Fiance just keeps proving me wrong. Thanks Leo, you're the only way I could ever watch this show without losing my sanity.
