Bro that reminds me of me. Back in like 2018 or something, I wanted to make electronic beats where I whisper sing over them, because I was self conscious about my voice, but I chose not to. A few years later, Billie Eilish blows up for literally the same thing I was envisioning. I also wanted to create rock inspired beats, but thought that nobody would like it. Then MGK drops his album and pop-punk makes a resurgence. Now I just follow my guy. For about 5 years now, I've been wanting to make hip-hop beats with an orchestral synth sound. Now I see rage beats and music with instrumentation is becoming popular and I'm not gonna sit this one out. I have a mixtape dropping soon that uses lots of synths and my ideas, I wonder if people will like it.

Hyperpop is supposed to be post-pop, over-the-top, exaggerated, it's supposed to be absurdist, post-modern(but not in the extremely nihilistic way, but it could be dark). It's not a joke either. It's not ironic. It's completely serious while being absurd. That's what makes it so fun and enjoyable. People call it cringe, but it laughs at itself and it's predecessor. It's maximalist compared to the modern minimalist that came before. It enjoys the things that are too much. But it's not pretentious, not at all. It doesn't think too highly of itself and it's just for fun, just for wanting to, just to say something. Y'all who write off hyperpop for being absurd are missing the point. It's meant to be a take on the all too commercial and award winning pop music. It's breaking all the rules just because it wants to. Have fun and let go of your shame. Like what you want to like. Not what you think is going to make you look cool or better than anyone else.

I just discovered hyper pop today, some of it is actually really good! I have ADHD so it is nice to listen to heavy sounds like hyper pop, as long as its done right though, if done wrong i get anxiety and angrily turn it off haha

What I love about Hyperpop Music is how Diverse and Genre Fluid it is. not to mention a lot of the music I listen to from it is like the Late 90s Early 2000s Y2K Era music turned up to 11 almost to the point of Parody. For someone who havent listened to it before You fucking Nailed it mate :) Good job

I loved all of this. 808s were on point, def getting that decapitator plugin after this. Def thought if this were to be made into a full song the variation would come in two parts: > You'd have a breakdown with a rap or some different vocals > You'd have a drop with those every-beat kicks that sidechain over everything and are just so over the top + a massive chord pad / supersaw or something

I used to be completely lost as to what was going on, but now as an audio studio who knows better, you're not just throwing things together like most "producers" do. You got some sort of reason for everything you're doing. Helping give me an idea of what my speed should look like in ProTools later on. What DAW is this btw?
