The lowered gamemaster section is excellent when using a screen as it will not hinder the gm's view as much. I am 6'4" and still have trouble seeing the miniatures when in use while sitting. Thanks for showing this. I walked right by this booth and made a note to check them out but never got back to them. It's good to have competition against Wyrmwood and this gives me ideas to make my own table in the future! Hope to see you at Pax Unplugged!

Wyrmwood is insanely overpriced. As a hobbyist artisanal woodworker, many of their products can be made in a very short period of time with very little expertise using basic tools, relative to what their fees insinuate.

So I have to humbly disagree. I am a professional fine woodworker and had a woodworking business. The prices on both this company and wormwood are fair. Not many people have the skills as a woodworker since only old men study the craft and they are passing away. Please don't think I am attacking you. Have a blessed day my friend.

That table is literally fantastic. The recessed dm section, the outlets, cup holders, etc. show they clearly put a lot of thought into the design. But, having said that, the price is equally breathtaking. You would really need to be dedicated to be willing to pay that much.

3:30 - one of the problems with many of these custom gaming tables is how they tend to separate and create barriers between players. This one seems all right. 3:45 - adding atmospheric lighting options would be neato; DM can trigger red lighting, flickering blue lighting, etc. depending on mood. Thanks Prof. DM.

Interesting table, hate the corner pillars and lantern lights. Overall looks nice, but just not practical. At 6x6, the room would need to be 10x10 just to get people sitting down without any other furniture or room to easily move behind the players. 12x12 room would be the minimum I would put this in and it would still be claustrophobic. It also would keep the room for being used for almost everything else. $7000 starting price. Better get one quick because I can't see the demand supporting the business for long.

I understand. I was saying I don't think it should or does deter new people. No one exploring the hobby thinks you need a $20 starter set AND a $7,000 custom gaming table to get into the game. Sure, like all hobbies, there are ranges of things you can purchase. The nice part about TTRPG is you can enjoy the hobby on all parts of the range. I'm sure the same noobs also understand that you can make do with the dice set from the starter box and don't need gemstone dice and a $200 hand carved dice tray to play the game.

Thanks for the disclaimer. 😏 This is a bad-ass table. I first saw this at GenCon last year, and was really impressed by all the features, accessories, and customization you can get. I also have to agree with others that the price point makes it inaccessible to the majority of people. On the other hand, the popularity of items like this will inspire other companies to make versions with lower more accessible pricing. One tid bit that Mike didn't mention in your video, is that last year's version had a solid one piece top which weighed nearly 250 pounds by itself. That made shipping really difficult. So this year, the top now separates into 4 pieces so it's easier to relocate.

I built one of these several years ago and it worked alright, but in the end it was just a table that you played on, when playing who cared how fancy it was. But now I am working on my next one, it will be round with a submerged 3 foot center, where my, thanks to PDM, ultimate dungeon terrain pieces will go. I have made all my UDT 3 feet in diameter, I know that sounds too big but on a 5' round table it works out fine.

Well thought out feature designs for the table. The wider player decks, power, drink holders, sized for typical products like battle maps. Those corner posts were screaming to be dice rolling towers, generous port on each side facing the worried players to feed their big sweaty fistful of dice, and a results tray at the bottom. Need to move the drink holders though. Encourage them to sell the message for 'local exotic' lumber not mahogany or any other imported fragile ecosystem rain forest wood. Poplar machines easy and can look great, I've built guitars with it and have a couple of antique chairs made from it. Many other local wood choices out there if he looks. Perhaps he matches up with one of the youtube band saw stump millers (cremora?) for youtube marketing and wood supply. Lastly, he may want to verify copyright infringement entanglements for the dragon logo (that looks really familiar, like TSR artwork) and the Tolkein scripts.

The wyrmwood modular is significantly cheaper than this. I’m in queue to get mine in the next few months, it was under $3k with accessories. And will actually function as an effective dining table, I’m not having family dinner time under tavern lantern glow.

I would need to see an actual demo of the vault in action with some flip-maps open, not sure on size and the player desk looks like it makes it hard to reach inside. I love the DM vault, looks cozy and opens the table up. 7k is reasonable considering the materials, size, and fact that each one table is a one-off, but…

Awesome table. The follow up video to this one should be how to fake my own death and assume a new identity after my wife finds out that I spent thousands of dollars on a gaming table. Do you think they'd ship to my new address? I've always liked the name Pablo...
