Sage S-B Chloe is an impulsive and reckless character who makes stupid decisions without thinking about them and doesn't regret making them, it's probably the most fundamental aspect of her character design. That's what I like about her though, in this generation of over the top social justice, a lot of female characters are depicted as flawless Mary sues for empowerment reasons. Chloe actually has decent character depth and many flaws which makes her realistic. David and Joyce, who are antagonistic in Chloe's development, aren't bad people at all, and more times than not, are actually looking out for her best interests while she is too absorbed with stubbornness to notice or care. Though these flaws are understandable. She can't bare the thought of another Male figure coming into the household and replacing William, because it really hurts her. In her eyes, she feels like her mother is betraying the memory of her father by replacing him with another man, when Chloe loves her father a great deal. Chloe might be quite impulsive and rude when she talks to people, but in the dream sequences, she is very different when she dreams about talking to her dad. While Joyce has the comfort of loving David which is helping her heal the wounds of losing her husband, Chloe feels very abandoned and lonely, which accelerates her development into a destructive character, and fuels her grief and anger. She's still a daddy's girl trying to deal with the death of her dad and the feeling of abandonment from Max, which are the biggest drives in her change of character. Even if you make mature decisions, Chloe is never subject to character assassination and from a writing perspective, that consistency actually makes her a good character. She can make mature decisions without betraying the writing of her character which shows that the writers have thought carefully about how she would act believably in those situations. Lots of characters in Life is Strange are flawed in many ways, that's why I am quite fond of the characters and willing to overlook the edgy dialogue.

Thank you for your comment, it makes me see the character in a new way. I still find her frustrating as a player and wish that we could really see her grow and become a better person, evolve in some way, but yeah you have a point.

saddly that will not happen till the end of the first game when she ask MAx to sacrifice her to save the town. I understand your frustration, i get the same amount of that while play as Chloe, but the game give you enouth intimacy with the caracter (if you take the time to read the letters and listen to her thoughs) to understand how deeply hurt and lonely she feel (and is lonely, after all the only person she have is her mother that have to work a lot and have her own relationship now).

I know it won't comfort you, but Episode 3 is truly fucked up, the ending is literally RUSHED. While I think this Episode 2 was the best from all LiS games, unfortunately Episode 3 is messed up, and have the same issues as the ending episode had in the original season...
