​@@DowngradedBot how? The story missions in that game were literally the side missions, copied and pasted with a cutscene slapped on it. This game actually got creative with the sandbox and creativity of missions and how you approach them. Watchdogs 1 was a scam.

​@@goofyhawk7170You are right for the wrong reason. Yes, ray tracing does allow them to do less work, but that's actually a good thing because being able to dedicate less time to lighting and more time to the rest of the art direction is a good thing.

This was the closest ubisoft ever got to GTA quality game and then fucked it all the way up with WD legion. All they had to do was build upon what they had here. One of thr best open world games ive played.

This franchise could have become a competitor for GTA-like with the absence of new rockstar title for years but Ubisoft isn't capable of anything anymore just waste potential

the game has shit story and characters, they also stripped all the fun hacking elements while driving with dynamic camera from WD1 , the world is amazing though. they should've continued with WD1 characters and story line and built upon the hacking elements not stripping them out.

@@TheFather_ stripped all the fun hacking elements? You have way more options in Watch Dog 2. The story is mid sure but the characters are aight. They're not deep at all but they're fun. Although the autistic character is a bit insulting with how stereotypical he is. Wrench is cool. I realize now that you said " hacking elements *while* driving with a dynamic camera" and I'm not sure what you mean by that. Would you mind elaborating? It's been almost a decade since I played the first. Even though the story is mid the mission levels are akin to an immersive sim with how you can approach them making them more replayable. You can finish a lot of missions with just hacks and your drones.

@@Classic98Intro From what I've seen Legion is just a trash Watch Dogs game. Might be a decent game but a terrible Watch Dogs. The hacking in that game (again from what I've seen. I haven't played it and I know that's a terrible way to have an opinion on something but I don't wanna play the game because I know I won't like it.) is atrociously barebones compared to the first 2. I don't even care about the story as long as the game is FUN.

This game was WAYYYY ahead of it's time. The Parkour in this game has to be the best parkour in any videogame. The open world elements are just Top Notch. Really sad to see this game has not got it's recognition.

the watch dogs games are true gems. 2nd game had a bit much hipster cringe in it but still was awesome to explore the city. seeing Ubi games being the 'good' example makes me very happy.

While the visuals and gameplay was pretty good in WD2, I do agree that the story and "lore" bits you could read or hear was a bit too cringe for me to stomach in the game to push through to finish it. I know they say to just shut your brain off while you game but some of us like a good story or small bits of world building as you traverse - a few of us didn't enjoy it as much in WD2. I wanted WD to be beside Saints Row and GTA but this and Legion made sure that doesn't happen...

idea of watchdogs was unique and yes it had its drawbacks but I have loved the series so far for what it is. making the open world with hackable objects and with the new legion game even playable NPCs was a great touch. really adds one more layer to open world and make it look less like a sandbox for killing people mindlessly

Watch dogs legion is where they lost it. That game is really bad and abandoned everything that made watch dogs 1 and 2 great

I'm like "it's not that impressive" untill I get like 40 seconds in Also rdr2 Is 6 years old and it was already finished at the time this game came out, they were just fixing some bugs and stuff like that

The level design of Mankind Divided was truly awesome and holds up very well. The Character animations looked a bit like animatronics even sub par back then on release. I wish it was longer, too. It's a shame we won't be seeing another Deus Ex game for quite a while, unfortunately.

I played this game a lot. It really feels like one of those games Ubisoft released during their prime. Not only are the graphics outstanding, but everything feels alive and the gameplay mechanics are super fun. I loved the parkour so much, I started trouble, only so I can be chased by the police. I'm glad it's finally getting the love it deserves and I hope it's not too late for a proper Watch Dogs 4.

Cant believe you did a video on my favorite Ubisoft game of all time. One if the best in the series. The world was amazing and the Npc were so reactive to everything around them which helped it feel real. This was a great game that was overlooked because of the critical reception of the first 1😢

If only they focused more on this game it would've been a true competitor to GTA

watch Dogs 1 & 2 worlds are amazing, so much happening, amazing gameplays, detailed cities. NPCs engagement (meeting hugging, singing, reacting) feels so lively. what GTA just lacks.

Watch Dogs 2 is really underappreciated. The police Ai, water physics,parkor(obviously), stunnning visuals and overall awesome graphics. WD2 had the potential but it was still just "another ubisoft game".

I disagree with the police AI. They're incredibly easy to lose. I can lose them every single time with ease. Still better than the first games though which felt impossible to shake off. I was also a lot younger then so maybe that's why I had trouble.

I remember being so hyped for the the new watch dogs. I remember the days were I hoped the Ubisoft that we knew would come back and release some really awesome games. Unfortunately the Ubisoft we all knew and loved died a long time ago.

If you have RTX 4080 or 4090 this game looks absolutely stunning in 4K native @ 60Hz and max settings.

Took some finagling to get this working. I'm an American living overseas. As such, Steam would only permit me to download the Chinese/Russian language version. Had to downtown a pirated copy then merge the English files into my paid version.

Despite my grievances with the story, characters and complete tonal shift from the first game, Watch_Dogs 2 is a solid game and a complete improvement in terms of gameplay from its predecessor, and the first game already had a bunch going for it in that department. It is really unfortunate for the series with how much flak it got because of Ubisofts lies about its graphics. The first two games are extremely fun open world games in my opinion, and I would recommend them to anyone who this type of game would appeal to, regardless of your feelings towards Ubisoft (though I will warn that unfortunately, the first game was hit with Ubisoft's mass online shut down of their games a couple years back, and not all the content in available in the game anymore, with some features, weapons, perks and gameplay permanently locked away with no ways of obtaining them in any alternative means).

Also it is a snapshot of when San Francisco was the Oasis of beauty and tech.

Batman: Arkham Knight is also still holding up extremely well! Released in 2015

I feel like 2016 was just 3-4 yrs ago, as if I have forgotten counting yrs after covid.

It's not even about the graphics. NPC interractions were amazing and honestly sometimes finishing a mission in some more thought out way was so amazing, like blowing up stuff hacking a car to drive over some guys and getting into it just to run away was so cool. Watch dogs legion is such a letdown in comparision, it plays weird and eh.

the last most optimized Ubisoft game for me. it freakin fully utilize a Xeon E3-1230v2

For some reason, despite it being a Ubisoft game, I enjoy just going around San Francisco, it feels like one of their most alive open worlds, the visuals hold up well too.

and 8 year game in which you could 3d print a fully functioning gun from the scratch and with said gun you needed to gain followers XD. crazy but fun

If only Fallout 76 could’ve looked anywhere close to this quality coming out 2 years later.

It looks all right, but a lot of small details are missing to make it more life-like

I played this game on a 3 hour demo that Ubisoft put out, and I loved it right away. For me, hands down the true Watch Dogs experience and a shame that Legion was incapable of living up to it. The story, gameplay and graphics of course were stunning. I recommend this one for sure!

They really needed a continuation of this game as Watch Dogs 3 instead of Legion. Ubisoft really drops the ball when they finally have something that works.

This was the first gta type game I got. I have every achievement and have spent over 100 hours in the game. I remember killing time just running around and going crazy, experimenting with the physics. It’s still a good game to this day. I was looking forward to wd legion, but it was a serious let down. My hope for the serious isn’t a lot, but there’s always a chance that Ubisoft actually starts caring.
