I love all the work they put into this game. I really hope it gets a PC release, it already looks fantastic at higher resolutions on mobile. And it still has a better Britannia campaign than Thrones of Britannia.

I know, right? Dude… I would absolutely die if we got a Medieval 2 remaster. I mean, think of the possibilities. Medieval 2’s visuals are light years ahead of Rome’s already, I really think it’s going to look beautiful even for modern standards. Stylized, perhaps not so realistic, but beautiful nonetheless

@@AndysTake Terminator told me once that he's certain they have a plan to, since it's once you make what is essentially a remaster for mobile, it's relatively easy to release a remaster for PC.

@@stevencass8849 CA didn't make Rome Remastered; Feral did. And given that it's basically already been done, it's a no-brainer. The remaster has already been released for iPad. Also Medieval is far more popular than Rome.

This game is totally being remastered for PC

The port is developed by Fenrir Interactive. They are incredibly well-known as a development studio for porting countless titles to Mac and now they are into mobile ports. So yeah, I wouldn't expect anything less since they have years of experience doing fine ports.

I love what they've done. Still I wish so much they would release a remastered version like they did for Rome. This is my favorite game but I love the mods and have less fun with Vanilla.

Rome 1 remaster was disappointing Visually, it looked worse than the original and the god awful pathfinding was still there Given how little improved over the original, it wasn't worth releasing

@@idaboi8378 Oh bull, at worst some units did not look as cool as they did in the original but almost everything about the Remaster was a graphical improvement. And they made further patches that did improve the pathfinding over the original and even made the AI slightly better.

The Medieval 2 music just fits so well

I doubt it but... if the hotseat needs to be started on PC and transferred to mobile... is it possible to do the same thing with a mod? I won't suggest any massive mods here but, maybe a mod like 'Regnum Caelorum' (aka Crusades Campaign 2.0)? 🤔

Yes, i just bought it yesterday the graphic is just the same like M2TW but with different map and experience, love it.

How huge did the soldiers in the field get? Is it 90/ unit max or the same as the highest unit (huge 150/unit) on the PC?

I feel like the battle/campaign AI has also been updated, I've seen my opponents pull out a few (smart-ish) moves I definitely didn't expect from the traditionally brain dead ai of the OG.

thank you for highlighting this. Hopefully we will get this for PC with mods ability like Rome Remastered. Then it will break all records.

I’ve been having a blast as Norway or the Holy Roman Empire in the Teutonic Campaign, something you weren’t able to do in the original, those two handed and Zweihander units are finally useful and they’re great. On my IPad, the graphics have been sadly downgraded, but it’s not really that noticeable when you really get going, and your armoured units still look badass and it’s only exceptionally noticeable on some of the more exceptionally detailed shields

I hope the remaster next year has hotseat, its just a beloved feature that really makes MedII what it is. Sounds like we have reason to hope with Feral's (in my mind) proven track record with total war ports/remasters.

Does it have the two handed glitch, though?

You got my hopes up there for a moment I thought they had released a remaster like they did with Rome 1.

Actually, its the only Total War title that is UI scaling perfectly fine on 4k PC. I own 4k monitor and i play m2tw kingdoms

i wish they put the kimgdom factions on the grand campaing, i never liked those small campaing helding the new factions hostage

@@AndysTake At least I wish they could add the units from the Kingdoms Campaigns to factions already in the Grand Campaign or as mercenaries for more flavor. That's what CA did for the Viking Invasion expansion back in Med 1 so it would be nice to see Feral do that for a Med 2 Remaster.

Everyone is praying for a PC release, has everyone already forgotten this is exactly what they did for Rome? Rome Remastered started as a IOS app and once they understood what they were doing and familiar with the code they tackled the PC remaster. Now they’ve moved onto Medieval and the cycle is repeating. The real question is not “Will Medieval Remastered come to PC” but “Will we get a Empire Remaster or will they go from Medieval to handling the Historical Total War side of the Franchise entirely?”

Question, I'm gonna try to buy this port in my phone because it's pretty cheap for me. So does the port fixes the bugs, stupid pathfinding and the braindead a.i. in the pc version?

Mostly got improved but the shitty buggy attack and death animation still remain I hope they improve it in the next update also give it a new death animation because mtw2 death animation is fucking weak compares to other tw even rome 1, I hate seeing the same kneeling down death every single fucking time when the soldier is killed even when charged by cavalry 🗿

@Narongpon Saetan I recently bought the game and i actually have been having fun. Many of the problems have been fixed or improved but some still persist to the ported version. The A.I. is definitely better but its still very stupid, the pathfinding is aslo improved. But as you said, the two-handed bug in the grand campaign is still not fucking fixed i actually contacted feral Interactive about it and they will forward it to the development team but i doubt they will fix it at all. Overall the game is great and its very entertaining and its definitely better than the vanilla pc version minus the controls and the ui and it has no mod support which is a shame.

One great thing they did was to make the Mongols playable in the Teutonic campaign! This is great, the first time you can play as the mongols in a total war game

The closest game (well, actually it's a mod) is AoE III wars of liberty. But as you expect from aoe is it couldn't ever be that deep and detailed except for the unit model, but for me it's already close enough.

A pc remastered version is all I'm waiting for

Devs said google play is prohibiting them to implement the ability to play mods in mobile. plus, they need to call out modders to make a porting of their mods for mobile

@@narongponsaetan8605 Every unit regarding their use of weapons has their own unique killing animations so the game has unique death animations too . In battle, try to zoom in more when they're fighting, see if you can spot the unique death animations.

Sands of Salzaar mobile developers manage to add list of mods that are available on steam. Dunno why others can't do it. Just add mod list on the title screen and install it like steam does.

Modern phones are stronger than pc you can make 10 years ago even with 10k us dollars. Phones are actually starting to be stronger than general use laptops/pc and even toppling some low end gaming pc. It's sad to say it but phones reach more people. Massive development also of software allows phones to go way higher than their weightclass.

And for those who have tablets or even on a phone you can connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to your device and get a closer experience to PC if you choose now I’m gonna go watch Talon01 he has a play through going over there on his channel English grand campaign super fun lots of longbows and stakes

What's about PC optimizing? Staring at pocket sized PC is not cool at all. More over, it can have a devastating empact on eyesight.

I actually think they won’t make it like in Rome Remaster. The first reason, is that the Remastered UI actually looks kinda like the mobile one - although much better just since it’s on PC and it’s easier to use. But with Medieval 2 for mobile, the completely changed the UI, and it looks nothing like the one in Rome for mobile. So hopefully that’s a good sign. The second was the community backlash of the Remastered UI. So hopefully we get a better UI that doesn’t look like the mobile one - even though I came to like the remastered after all.

@@AndysTake That's good news at least. Rome Remastered with mobile game UI was such a letdown. Glad they are acting on that feedback, but still sad Rome Remastered had to be the lesson. It was one of my favorite games but the UI made not like it as much as the original. Anyways... thanks for replying. Hope it helps with your algo.
