This guy Joshua has good insight. Comparing Tennis Legends with trading is actually brilliant. Especially if you observe Djokovic`s game, the way he plays, more often than not he doesnt miss the ball, he always sticks to his plan, he is consistent for years, he knows when to take risk. All that you can implement in trading.

thats literally the key getting to the point where you need to be comfortable isnt overwhelming the potential reward. Add to winners and capped your loses is the hardest part.

When you have this honesty with yourself in life and in trading. you will inevitably grow. But also limiting beliefs will stunt your growth. You gotta believe in yourself and believe in your strategy. Always take risk that are calculated. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt.

Honestly, the way this guy describes his interactions with FTMO challenges is so so on point. Everything mentions, ive experieced myself with the FMTO challenge and its not something that i have heard anybody really dive into. Some real gems in this one that every trader looking to do the FTMO challenege should really take a note of.

Loving how he gently roasts FTMO for being inflexible (re: 22 challenges). Guy is an average trader (with plenty of room for improvement - I reflect on his monthly BALANCE curve - huge zig-zags which is indicative of boom and bust performance). A good trader has very little drawdown ie a near straight diagnonal line being minimum. But the guys strategy is sound (knowing what i know) although he is missing out on huge alternate trends from what i see. I get the impression he is super confident personally so would be successful in any walk of life. At 29 he has every opportunity to be the 100M account hedge fund trader. I love the fact he managed to slip into conversation "mental mastabation" ...so funny ;-)

This was one of my favorite interviews so far. Just goes to show that this trading journey is a marathon and not a Sprint. It may take us many trails, but we'll get there in the end.

I passed the Challenge (after some repeats and fails) and am onto the Verification stage and relate to Joshua soo much, as had personally been postponing and fighting for my dream of becoming a pro FX trader for more than 14 years. Mostly slippage happens when new York Market is closing going into Asian active markets this is what I have noticed from the UK. STOP LOSS IS KEY

My God, he is a fucking monster, the level of details he is trying to breakdown is just from another dimension.

Nice interview, for the people struggling just stop caring so much about strategy and be the best with risk management. Me I have a 80% winrate which I don’t really care so much but with a high RR. RR is the most important, it’s all about losing little when you are wrong and winning big when you are right, if you understand that and stop being greedy, you will become a profitable trader! Stop trade with big lots and big stop losses ! Focus on Risk management, just protect the capital!

@SimplyPips actually it depends a lot . I’m a swing trader so I don’t trade everyday. I have only one setup. And it’s around 60 % on a bad month and around 80% on a good month. But forex is all a About risk management . If you don’t learn this rule than forex is not for you!

Is the 10%+5% target really fair? Isn't a trader more consistent making 5% profit every month for 3,4 or 5 months? So wouldn't it be better making 5%/30d challenge and 10%/60d verification (or 5%/30d verif. 1 and another 5%/30d verif. 2) to find the best traders?

@@redalf5405 The target is fair because all traders need to complete it to get funded. That's why it's fair. 10% in the first month teaches you how to handle the stress, then 5% the next month shows you're consistent and didn't just get lucky on the first part.

What he said was spot on. The 1st time I passed the challenge, I literally blew the account on my 2nd day. It was a painful yet needed lesson. It let me know my psychology wasn’t quite where it needed 2 be yet and I was too thirsty/greedy 2 start making money. Never made that mistake again. Becoming a consistent and profitable trader truly is a journey tailored 2 each individual like a fingerprint or a snowflake

this story is inspiring! I am so frustrating about my Challenges but I will never give up… My gosh I failed couple with 100k and made 50k 10% but failed intraday.

I can relate to this guys story. It takes time and forex does not give you guaranteed 10% profits a month. Some months are great and you're shit, so you miss out. Some months you're great but market is shit, so you don't make much. some months market is shit and you're also shit, so you lose alot.
