GYRO complete and ACCURATE instructions for the 6-ch Tx/Rx that comes with the 'Carbon' version. Firstly, it's assumed that the Transmitter(Tx) and Receiver(Rx) are already bound to each other, and both powered ON, thus there's NO need to even open the Receiver(Rx) box at all. 1) Turn OFF the Transmitter, and keep the truck powered ON. With the Transmitter OFF, press and hold the SWA (ch3) button, and then long-press the power ON button at the same time. --->Transmitter(Tx) will now be in the Gyroscope setting mode. Mixing Button (bottom LEFT on Tx): This turns the Gyro On/Off. --->When the upper right corner of the screen shows a 'signal' symbol (e.g. cell tower symbol), the Gyroscope in ON, otherwise it's OFF. ALSO: The Forward/Reverse Button (bottom RIGHT on Tx): This alters the directional effect of the Gyroscope. ---> The ◥ symbol on the screen means 'normal' operation. I.E., if vehicle fishtails to the Right, gyro steers to the Right. (Make SURE this is selected!) ---> The ◣ symbol on the screen means 'reverse' operation. (NEVER select that!) IMPORTANT: This following is correct and confirmed, but often cited incorrectly! Left Steering Dual-rate Knob (below the ch5 button): Adjusts the Gyroscope's 'Sensitivity' aka 'Reaction Time'. (top number on the screen) Right Throttle Dual-rate Knob (below the ch6 button): Adjusts the Gyroscope's 'Intervening Travel Ratio' aka 'Amount of Reaction'. (bottom number on the screen) Once finished adjusting the settings, Long-press the SWA (ch3) button and it will be saved. (2 beeps) DONE! (so there's NO need to power off ,and then back on, anything!) LASTLY, very IMPORTANT x2: Return the Steering (endpoints s/b at least ~75%) and Throttle (@100% of course) dual-rate Knobs to your chosen, normal operating positions.

Your tips have been insanely helpful! The light bar on mine is not working though. Any idea on why that might be? Is it turned on via the transmitter? The manual indicates a "light" input on the receiver but the lightbar cable is not plugged into this.

@@GrayMetro The light should be plunged into the 'effective' ch5 (red lightning bolt) slot. If so, then it should turn on using the ch5 button on the Tx. If it doesn't, try toggling through the mixing options by Long-pressing (until it beeps) the 'Mixing/Hybrid' Button (bottom LEFT) UNTIL you NO longer see either a ① and/or a ② symbol(s) next to the mixing icon on the bottom RIGHT of the screen.

@@CSL33 You fixed a problem for me yet again. I can't believe all I had to do was press the Ch5 button. I couldn't find a solution anywhere. I thought maybe the contacts in the plugged were flipped so I swapped those and still nothing. Swapped them back to the way they were originally, pressed Ch5, and boom. Lights on. Thank you so much! I'm very new to this and you've been an incredible help.

How does it feel to be the only person in the universe who figured out how to adjust the gyro on that truck? Thanks for the great video!

Lol some say it came in box and and had to install with carbon edition.... is it actually built I'm or do u have to install. Mine didn't come separately in box only zip ties it says to use for it....

Resolving some of the issues with the 6-ch Transmitter(Tx) that comes with the 'Carbon' version. 1) If you see a padlock icon on your screen. (with sometimes also having a flashing screen as well as beeping) - Turn the Transmitter OFF. - Press and hold the Fwd/Rev Button (bottom RIGHT) and then LONG-press (until the screen appears) the Power ON Button at the same time. 2) If you inadvertently mixed channels 1&2 together (e.g. throttle also works while steering) or channels 5&6 together (light bar doesn't stay on). - Toggle through the mixing options by Long-pressing (until it beeps) the 'Mixing/Hybrid' Button (bottom LEFT) UNTIL you NO longer see either a ① and/or a ② symbol(s) next to the mixing icon on the bottom RIGHT of the screen.

Ive actually noticed spectrum avc limits throttle as well as adjusting steering,where tsm and dumborc gyro doesnt effect throttle.

That poor thing looked like it was about to have an ED-209 freakout at the start there! 😆 and yeah.. in my limited experience the gyro makes a world of difference, especially the smaller you go. It's almost too easy to drive, but that's kind of the point. Good video, appreciate the PSA, and I also went to hard packs after having the same issue in another basher.

Awesome channel, I'm new to RCs, I have the Carbon on order, does relocating the ESC up to fit bigger batteries effect the balance of the ride? and does it leave the ESC vulnerable to damage if it lands on its roof?

Balance seems a bit better, remember, adding the extra weight of the battery will definitely mean moving the esc to the centre line actually helps even things out a bit! It’s more vulnerable for sure, but the body helps protect it still. Thanks for watching and welcome to the hobby!

I have tried to Email Rlarrlo but can't for whatever reason (kind of a red flag), But i have a question about the 6 channel radio. How many model memory does it have, I'm considering picking up either a 6 or 8 channel receiver for my Arrma Big Rock V3 3s so both can be under one radio as well as upgrade the Arrma to a gyro radio

Does it come with a charger

A good tuned gyro just makes everything more enjoyable to drive👊 well played sir

And if you want to check out my more cinematic stuff, you’ll pick up way more than watching this one! 😉 I rarely use my GoPro for anything other than a few action shots or these POV style setups. It doesn’t offer the same focal range as my mirrorless camera, or zoom. If you have an iPhone 15, you can do a tremendously good job with just that in cinematic mode!

I found around 40% for the top number and 60% for the bottom number worked best for me!

I see my terminator to max gyro, hold the 3rd channel down, beep. No jitter and when I pick up and rotate no concevable movement in the front wheels. Gyros I’ve used you can see it moving the steering. Am I missing something. Ps not ran it yet

So the Gyro is used mostly when on the really loose, low traction surfaces. A good place to start is.... -----> 30% to 40% 'Sensitivity' aka 'Reaction Time'. (top number on the screen) -----> 40% to 60% 'Amount of Reaction' or 'Gyro Strength'. (bottom number on the screen) I believe @scalebuildersguild said somewhere here that he liked using 40% top, 60% bottom...

Do you recommend this truck for someone who is looking for a good first bigger Basher? Or should I save more for the mt10

You have to do it manually with proper throttle inputs and timing, but it can right itself with your help given those tires.

Put the battery in a tin, if it doesn't smell sweet when you open it after a week, it's safe since it has't been punctured. Tape it up over the foil before charging and using it again.

Gyro not needs in my humble opinion, it doesn't drive all that straight to begin with anyway at least not for my purposes. The Traxxas TCM system is soooooo much better and there's no fancy doodads to activate it. I reached out to the manufacturer numerous times for various reasons and go no response at all so I wont be purchasing anything more from this company and thats shame beaus I see some exciting models coming up.

You said, hold down the 3rd channel, where is the third channel? Not sure what you're really doing. The truck is mostly the top of your video and not the center, hope to see it lower a bit but just an opinion. Thanks for the video nevertheless.
