That’s similar to how it must have been for Brawn GP in 2009 when the previous car, the 2008 Honda was again another disappointment. Everyone expected this team to be near the back of the grid before they went to the first test.

Rough start and a fatality in its account, but at the end of the season, the updates they brought nearly made D. Hill a World Champion if it wasn’t for Schumacher and Benetton’s dirty tricks.

Ricardo Paterese won the GP in Japan and finished 2nd. in the championship with 56 points but no mention of that as he helped with the success of Williams that year too!

yes, but all teams only "upgrated" theyre 2020 car, because there where little regulation changes and big reg changes came in 2022, so all the teams focused on 2022 not 2021

Best bit is we will have them days again soon 100% sure of it. Best team in F1!

It's because the 15 was a brand new car, different to the 14 (the 15 was a dedicated active suspension car, whereas the 14 was a converted passive car). The 15B was an interim test car used in the 92/93 winter and the 15C was the car that eventually raced in 93

It's 15C because the car that was being upgraded was the FW15, not the 14B. 14B was so dominant that williams just went "nah, we leave that car alone. We already won so we make FW15 dominant for next year instead"

They also had the 15D in their sleeves but decided that a CVT transmission wasn’t necessary and the final stages.

We should clarify that the FW15C isn’t actually as dominant as we think. The MP4/8 was actually a better chassis, but it was hampered by its woeful B-spec Ford V8, with an average of 60BHP down.

Fw14 was insanely solid but not as reliable.

And then the FW16…

So basically what you're saying is that the rest of the grid got worse and Williams won with the older car just a but updated.

Williams now in the back of the grid with bottom perfoming driver for 2 straight seasons

And then unfortunately Senna stepped into a mess of a car in 1994.

The same man that engineered the championship winning Williams in 92, 93, 96 and 97. And Damon Hill would have won in 94 in the Williams, if not for Schumacher crashing into him deliberately
