This Excited Housewives In The 1950s

Фильм және анимация

To support my efforts to create more clips please donate to me at www.patreon.com/allinaday. This is a film from the collection that I put together to make my television series Making Sense of the Sixties. I never knew a mother like this when I was growing up and I doubt women like this ever existed. What a joke. But I love seeing how advertising agencies thought they could reach women back then. My grandma didn't shop for fun but she did have a similar attitude towards housework. Nowadays you will not hear women complain about not having time due to having an outdated kitchen, in fact many younger people are getting back into canning and have complex meal plans which are a lot of work. Not only that but many of us also have to work and pretend like housework happens by magic. It's kind of sad that women nowadays are expected to have everything perfect looking at home but to talk about it as work is just about taboo.

Agree 100%. Back in the 50s women practically owned their neighborhood and were really smart. They knew how to keep a husband and a family together. They administered their husband's pay check and the house finances. They were subtle, elegant, clean, modest, restrained, feminine, moderated and exquisite. Have you taken a look at what people call "women" today? Loud, masculine, clown-like, unfaithful, woke, entitled and vulgar. They have copied only the vices of men...
