Thanks Opti for covering this. My brother (not biological, but he and my bio brother were raised as brothers) got murdered back in 2018. The only thing stopping me or our uncle (a gang leader) from orchestrating something is the fact that he'll never know his daughter, he'll never get to see his girl, and when he gets released, he won't make it very far. So that animal will never get to see his daughter grow up, never see his girlfriend young again, and he'll be in the afterlife by sundown the day he gets released, meanwhile my niece and nephew get to hear all the stories about their father and learn about how good of a man he was. And that's good enough for me.

And that's what she is going to go thru until the last day of her life. In my opinion whether the death penalty or life sentence is worse really depends on if the person genuinely regrets their actions or not. If they are remorseful then lock em up for the rest of their life so they can suffer with that guilt. If they feel no remorse or guilt at all (such as psychopaths) then they should be executed. Plus don’t forget that certain types of criminals can probably not suffer (or not suffer as much) during a life sentence by just reminiscing about their crimes. You do forget that prison visitation exists right? And considering how her parents were “shocked” by the verdict I wouldn’t be surprised if they’d regularly visit her in prison.

Edit: Also glad she got life, I hope the family of her victims know peace. I’d become absolutely mental against her if she did that to someone I loved.

There actually was an Onion video like this. They had a teen girl who stabbed a friend and the court ruled that it was so gruesome that she would be tried as a black man. This included having her courtroom picture altered, all her witnesses replaced with a single crackhead, and her parents demanding she be tried as a light skin latino.

I don’t really feel much when it comes to death because I am used to it but this time I feel glad that woman got what she deserved. May those men have a good rest. A tragic loss.

The fact people want to defend her has me wonder if those people have any value of innocent life. I’ve seen videos of people killing others for relationship breaks and it disgusts me every time because nothing is worth taking a life over such a trivial, childish situation. It just shows how unstable they truly are by not respecting others’ decisions or just taking the pain and leaving.

"wonder if those people have any value of innocent life." That's been on the decline since Roe v. Wade was decided. Once it's determined that babies (for which people are instinctively protective toward) are expendable, it's a short trip to decide that other, less innocent people are, too.

At minimum, she should be kept behind bars until her mid-40s. She should NEVER be allowed a genetic legacy. Keep her under lock and key with no male guards until she is post-wall, and infertile. THAT's a fate WORSE than life with a chance at parole. NONE of the Manson girls directly involved with the Tate-LaBianca murders ever begat a genetic legacy.
