I missed these videos. And this game. Such a great mod. I remember playing it long before getting my current PC and boy do I wish the engine could hold up better on better systems and bigger battles cause this game is peak space combat RTS

Yeah I think there's ways to make the engine cope with more but it would be great to have the game updated for this purpose. The engine is so good for RTS battles

I've been playing this game since Middle School and doing terrible all this time. I prefer it over the other space RTS games cause it's typically "take over the orbit and our threats of nukes will make the people below surrender immediately" even vanilla the land and space dynamic was amazing to me and I wish more games did it. Also another game feature that never got implemented, Tom Clancy's End War had voice orders, it was simple and rugged but worked. Game may not have been successful but the feature itself bears examining and no one else really did it.

The ground and space combo was revolutionary at the time, and if I'm honest it hasn't been topped since. A lot of 4X strategy games fail to incorporate this system and, as you say, put the conquest of planets down to nukes and background bombardment

@@THEMIGHTYGAMMONTV With good reason. Its awesome, and its not complicated ether unlike AOTR or Thrawns Revenge. Its just Empire At War, the Clone Wars. Made by the same guy that made Thrawns Revenge as well.

You didn’t get the full experience If you did the beginning galactic conquest, you should’ve done the full campaign. It’s full of story missions and you get the entire experience too. Did you even see captureable ships and the different captureable stations
