This Electric Motorcycle JUST Changed EVERYTHING| Verge TS e- motorcycle

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Many kids dream of what kind of vehicles or gadgets the future will bring. The world quickly develops concept ideas into video games or toys, bringing these futuristic visions to life. What happens when those young dreamers grow up to become adults? Imagination becomes a reality. Introducing the Verge TS Electric Motorcycle, a bike from the future. At first glance, any motorcycle enthusiast will instantly wonder where the chain is. Then they will marvel, perhaps with a sly grin, over how sick it looks to see a bike without a chain that they can actually ride. They may then wonder how fast it can go. The Verge TS Hubless Electric Roadster Motorcycle features an Integrated Rim Motor producing 80 kW of power with 1000 Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-62 miles per hour time (0-100 km/h) in under 4 seconds while being able to reach a limited top speed of 180 km/h. Not bad for a bike without a chain that never requires an oil change..in this video, we are looking into This Electric Super Bike SHOCKS the industry! | Verge TS E-Motorcycle

Notice the use of the HoloCube in the background at CES? It makes it look like the video is floating in 3D space. Or it could have simply been an LCD display without the backlight. Allowing you to see through it. The e-cycle is cool too. This could be a cool reverse e-trike with a normal seat suspended in the middle providing easier mounting and dismounting without having to straddle it like a horse. That would also lend itself to aftermarket add-ons like a fully enclosed cabin so you can enjoy it in all weather conditions.

Unsprung mass is highly concerning, as well as efficiency of that fancy donut-shaped motor. Have to see how it will end up. Just reminding - conventional tech used for a good reason P.S. too much words "innovations" for 8 minutes video, considering electricity have been around quite a while...

Yup, the hubless wheel design was tried on gas motorcycles also.....There's a good reason why the huge majority of bicycles & motorcycles still use hub wheels vs a hubless wheel design.

The real wheel motor is interesting and very electric-eccentric. A rethinking of the hub motor. No chain, belt or drive shaft, just direct power. I can see this being copied. Nice design but a bit pricey.Electric motorcycles dont have the big $ amount fuel savings like an Ecar as most get decent ICE mileage. But the maintenence bills will be alot less. After 2 Ebicycles I can say I love E vehicles!

Great how its the 'affordable' alternative to fossil fuel bikes, initial cost around double of equivalent fuel bikes, cost of electricity rising faster than fossil fuels, I don't see much advantage at this time, maybe in a few years, who knows. It will be very hard to convert the die hard 'real' bikers to these machines. Thanks for a great video and info.

I'm a "real" biker, and I'd ride one. I wouldn't BUY one, but I'd ride it :) As you say, too damn much money all the way around. Additionally, the claims of "sustainable" are dubious given the need to replace battery packs, with packs usually costing an astronomical amount of money and no released tech being better than lithium ion. Oh, it's always "right around the corner", and youtube is infested with vids on the latest, greatest vaporware, but for now seriously expensive packs that will probably require even earlier replacement than standard auto packs would be my guess on these, making that up-front cost look even worse every 5 to 10 years tops.

If its quiet its unsafe. I rode motorbikes for years and put the loudest exhaust possible on them so folks would know I was on the road, otherwise I was beyond f'g invisible, it saved my life many many times. I see folks riding bicycles adjacent to the roadway with 5k lb killing machines and just shake my head, they are taking on too much risk with little opportunity to influence their survival. Just my opinion, which I am glad I still have after deciding to stop riding 30 yrs ago when I decided I had something worth living for.

Don’t worry. He diehard naysayers will die off and open minded people will embrace electric motors. There are some limitations with battery tech but will a good number of scientists working on battery chemistry and density, I expect these limitations to be addressed. I personally own 5 vehicles and three of them are electric. I’m embracing change but also embracing the ease of use and low running and maintenance costs.

By low maintenance costs, you mean $24,000 to replace a Tesla battery, which is nearly at-cost and needed every 10-ish years? There's nothing open-minded about ignoring expenses in hopes of justifying a technology. The latest batteries are always "just around the corner", youtube is infested with vaporware stories that rarely amount to anything useful. The naysayers live in the now, until someone comes out with something real, they're in the right.

I have nothing against electric vehicles except for the high prices, planned obsolescence & purposely made to be very hard to diy repair. Of course gas car companies pull the same BS... I'd prefer to build my own ev for much cheaper vs buying a new ev if I had the money. Like an electric vw beetle conversion or small pickup truck ev conversion. For now it's way cheaper & easier for me to just keep my 1989 van on the road. It's in good shape, parts are cheap & I can fix it myself.... I wanted an electric bicycle kit but prices were a joke compared to a 2 stroke kit for $120.... For $120 + $80 in upgrades my 2 stroke kit outperforms a $1000 e-bike kit in almost every way possible except for low end torque. With some engine port work= 45 mph top speed & 85-90 mpgs. Engine lifespan is about the same as an electric motor & battery. If ebike kit prices come down, to a reasonable level I'd buy one.

Generally that equation is in how you drive it. You CAN use that horsepower, but it drains the battery faster. Drive like less of a chimpanzee on cocaine and you get more distance. Also true of gas engines, but you're always going to have a minimum constant use dependent on displacement and idle speed that electric nearly eliminates.

Looking at them broadly, a valid question. The ONLY edge EV's have, and few make the point, is that electric plants can be centrally regulated to any level of emissions the public is willing to foot the bill for with higher bills. Even then, regular motorcycles represent such a low level of emissions that they have been removed from testing requirements here in AZ where we use them more than most other states. Coupled with the additional mining requirements and disposal issues of batteries...it's a solid question.

Ewheel invented in Asia. America pushes the Segway, the most obviously lame, impractical, useless, I possible to store version that also just exudes the word dork. Although Segway type things existed for years prior in Asia where they were rolled around like luggage since they were so much smaller, we accused them of copying the Segway. They have entire fleets of transport based on the e wheel. The tesla is really just a giant go kart based on the e wheel. It even had to put its dash on a center screen just like virtually all e wheel based stuff you get from China like when like finally popped americas cherry on the e wheel by buying a ton of e scooters from Ali baba. The only reason why the tesla doesn't have a real dash board is because it's based on the same thing as all the e wheel devices that Asia had 20 + years ago. They just for us to dismiss it and be deliberately blinded to it by showing us only the Segway.
