How can someone do a review on something and come to a conclusion after 8 miles? I insist on putting 100+ miles on anything I review before I can start forming a complete picture of it. The e-mobility review space is a disaster.

I own two Roadrunner RS5's, one V1 and a newer MAX, which are essentially upgraded rebadged versions of this scooter. They are a ton of fun. I'm not sure if Ausome uses sinewave controllers on theirs or not but, if they do, as long as you shift your weight more to the front on heavy acceleration or feather lightly on the throttle during turns, the front wheel slip is minimal and controllable. The MAX also has more powerful motors that create more tourque and I dont seem to have an issue with the wheel spin in the front. Might just need to get more time on it and you will get used to it.

Excellent review, Jake. I live a few miles from Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. After Memorial Day, the roads become a slow-moving parking lot. E-bikes and scooters are very popular here, but I'm worried we are going to see a lot more injuries this year. These things are quick and maneuverable which might be a recipe for disaster given the place has pretty women in every direction and the cagers are not looking where they should be.

Hey, I'm also from the same area, how do the Hampton Poice treat the scooter riders? I figured they would be pretty strict about it, so I never even thought about cruising that part of the strip. I do enjoy cruising along the beach in Rye which is just up the road from Hampto.

Good times, hope to see more ebike stuff and just more Jake in general, i just picked up a fat tire ebike this spring and the little time I've had to play with it's been fun, 28mph on that is a blast, i cannot imagine 42 on that scooter with those little wheels.

This is a profound review! Liked it. Excellent. I just hesitated to click the thumbnail because it looked to generic and theoretical with a commercial like dawn shot and a indoors picture of your head. A thumbnail like your forest-ride might do better...

Scooters are for kids...well, the old school ones were. These, well, just ask Jake. Glad you got the gig (and the scooter) to review because I've always told you, YOU have the VOICE for commercials/radio/podcasts/tv and such. Get that $ boy or just say NO. #thevoice

I have a varla eagle one. And it looks so similar. I love it. It does really well. It's durable a reliable. Holds charge good even after a year. But I'd suggest upgrading to fat 4 inches tires and more rugged inner tube.and a upgraded headlight

The gallop is the Ausom branded version of the Unicool G3 from Titan group. Other models built from this parts lot are the roadrunner rs5, the kukirin g3 pro, etc. Actually just ordered one myself.

I think the brand name you were hinting at is Valara

Other then hills I see no point to the duel wheel drive. Also agree that 50/50 torque would make this thing hell to steer. Stick to a ebike, its much more fun.

I notice some companies market wattage in continuous and peak power? I have the feeling that Ausom is marketing 1200 watts as peak power? What do you think?

Battery powered vehicular devices are not allowed either at my 75 acre work location or my apartment building. At least bikes and scooters. I not sure about automobiles. I'm pretty sure I could squeeze a Honda Grom into the elevator of my building, but my wife might not be happy about the smell of gas, or dirty tires on the carpeting.

Out of curiosity, do they have an exception for UL-certified ones? Those have been verified by the Underwriters Laboratory to have a level of safety built into them (primarily the battery BMS, which is the important part).

@@100PercentJake Seriously doubt any of these "administrators" have any idea what UL is, at all.

It looks almost identical to a vsett 10+... Even the color is the same. I think the voltage is higher though.

Also, I looked up these on Amazon and it did one of those "Buy it With" recommendations and it was a Lego Star Wars set that cost $50. WTF? Seriously, though, these look like fun.

What's too tall? I'm 6'4" and I ride my scooter every day...too scared I think is more likely.

Very interesting, even though the chances of me buying one are about 0

This thing weighs 90lbs? Broooother, when a 75lb e-bike dies it's a pain. I couldn't imagine trying to kick this along when the battery hits 0

I need to know about everything else that's in that garage please.

identical to the kukirin g3 pro and the leopard is identical to the kukirin g2 max both company's get these two scooters from titan and have them branded under their name. The software is identical also and is made by Titan not Ausom or Kukirin so they wouldnt be able to modify the firmware. That said Titan makes some pretty rugged scooters.
