Imagine being in spotlight for so long, being the goldened peak of a certain pyramid for so long, and not getting corrupted by the dark forces of arrogance. I dont know how Grubby managed to keep it that way for so long. What i know is, that is a big reason i very like him. Stay that way, Grubby :) May the force be with you xD

I think him feeding 3 archers early without cancelling the beastiary, and then failing to creep his naga with AoW while dh harasses was what gave grubby the edge. Failing to micro at 50vs60 was the final blow

@@cello1993 the macro point in that situation was bigger to my opinion. Grubby made kodos exactly as an answer unit once he saw the bears and bought speed scroll exactly for that purpose, the entire scenario was planned and was based on scouting. Baburfrikker was looking very unaware that his bears are doomed, I guess that he did not knew about the kodos and gone into fight unprepared for that. I totally agree that microing against that is super hard, that has to be compensated by anti-kodo units.

First Happy Birthday! The man did good but to be fair... 13:30 The fight just started & the Kodos took the bears so fast he didn't know what to do. I swear idk how people can think they match skills with The King of Orcs. LMAO

Oof the bears going down kodo belly's just sealed his fate so fast. He did have really good fundamentals though.

I once played in a Warcraft 3 contest (in year 2004?) in an internet cafe called "Fun City" in Stockholm where 1000 crowns was the prize, there were two sponsored gamers there and one of them looked just like you! But then I begun watching your videos many years ago on KZread and after a while you changed your looks a lot so you didn't look like him anymore! Magic! I actually beat your look-alike in that contest by an air-only strategy with walled-in towers constantly repairing them against your catapult and massing birds in "secret"! I won by points cause games were only allowed to be 30 minutes long. But there were to few anti-air units so I had the edge. I have schizophrenia so you know, but this were no illusions! My strategy is a kind of gimmick so I would have lost the re-match against an opponent that can adapt! But my friends couldn't, I beat them all the time with this strategy, L.o.l.! I didn't win the 1000 crowns although cause my friends forbid me to get towers and the next opponent could have cheated cause his Huntresses slaughtered my units (army + militia) without me understanding why his units didn't drop enough in health and so. Sorry for the strange post, but I believe in magic not only in games! 😀

1 min in and im already skeptical, pretty sure grubby just stomps him here and... i was not disappointed, guy didn't really stand a chance but he didn't play badly that's for sure, just don't think he was aggressive enough don't think you wanna be trapped in your base if you have no AP's and only a few moonwells, 100% shoulda peon harassed with DH while leveling up his naga.

Imagine if he has to play while streaming and comment for the audience. He was probably 100% focused in this game killing you. If you were given same focus opportunity I think he would have suffer even greater defeat. He played well, he almost got it :)

15:49 -- even tho Grubby was still winning, this game, had that DH *NOT died* so stupidly at that time, but had instead survived, this game could have gone on for MUCH longer... ... *AND significantly interestingly at that too !!! :)* .

The story of the running was so amazing! That’s why the content shines so much!

This dude is really good as well. It's amazing how many excellent players still populate such an old game. Grubby should start going 1v2.

Man I really wanted him to get that moonwell heal off on the demon hunter and have it reach lv 6. Would have defiantly made the game much more interesting. He was probably done for any ways but if it had shifted that fight it would have beeen sweeet!

Good game! It was fun to watch. Grubby got lucky with items, and Babu losing early archers was a big deal, and obviously the battle with the kodos needed to not happen. I don't really know what the play would be to beat those kodos at that point, I guess scout more and avoid that fight and build more range to deal with kodos. Despite that, even at the end, if the Demon hunter was micro'd a little bit better and didn't die, he could have had level 6 soon and become a big problem. A few ancient protectors at home could have tremendously helped too.

i wonder if he had 5-8 more years of experience a long side 10 000 more games, it is hard to imagine were the diminish returns of experience vs talent and love for the game start to kick in.

As a Dutch person there is a big no-no list of things you can't do. 1. Declare a Republic 2. Say you can beat Grubby at WC/Dota/good looks 3. File your taxes correctly Shame this guy had to find out rule #2 the hard way on his birthday, but hopefully it will prevent him from breaking rule #1 and rule #2 in the future.

I haven't watched the video, but if that man goes demon hunter with immolation 3:26 well well well. My man uses arguably the most broken strat in 1v1 (atm). Probably beats a lot of people. And now suddenly thinks he can beat the OG of warcraft3

that's 8 additional heroes to add in. the result would likely be either more of the same roles/abilities as what's already there, or resorting to moba type unique heroes with abilities that would be a big big change

I've never claimed I can beat Grubby, I got crushed once, and the game still was way closer than this one. Although it was on Turtle Rock and with OP talons, so I guess I had an advantage. On the other hand, taking into account how many people claim they can beat a pro, this guy was quite god. Just lost 3 archers for no real benefit and totally messed up a fight. Otherwise it could have been close.

I actually thought you were in your late 20s, 30 at most. :O

In the final moments, if the Naga staffs away the DH lvl 5, the next bear is there for rejuv, then there are heal potions and moon juice - the entire orc army will die to the unkillable DH with immolation. If Grubby runs to the tavern to revive the blademaster then he loses 2-3 units on the way (which will be kodos with bears inside) and maybe still loses the fight. Further retreat back home and elf expands while defending. Elf didn't realize how close he was to a win... but instead he runs in the DH and lets him die. GG.
