This Dog Suffered So Much, But Her Life Was About To Take a New Turn

Howl Of A Dog rescued Emma from a public pound where she was found injured, emaciated and suffering from mange. We don't know her background, the only possible scenario we can think of is that she was a stray living on the streets, got hit by a car, then later captured and taken to that public pound where she received no medical care and her condition deteriorated even more.
She underwent femoral head ostectomy surgery (FHO) and so far has recovered very well and she has started using her operated leg more and more. She still favors it when running but it's been only 5 weeks since her surgery so the recovery phase is still in progress. Emma's left eye is tiny and underdeveloped, it is covered permanently by the third eyelid; she has no vision on that side, it cannot be restored through surgery, but it is not causing her any pain, it's more an aesthetic issue.
She is around 2 yrs old and is the most gentle dog in the world. She has a pleasant temperament and is very good with all dogs and with cats too. Emma is still shy with people she doesn't know and she needs her adoptive family to be patient with her and help her feel safe.
Emma is in our care in Romania, but can also be adopted internationally to the US, Canada and Europe. Emma is tough as nails, to decide that leg didn't work, just used one and one eye, that cant be easy either

These are the people who we need more of, someone needs to give these people $1,000,000 to make a organization to help stray dogs in need, these people are GOOD people
She just craves a friendly touch, something she never had all she ever knew was hatefulness, she is so beautiful with all the love and care, it won't be long until this lovely lady gets her forever home..Thanks again to you great people.

Matt Basford ...A blind man could see that this dog did not have a good life. I doubt very much that she was a runaway and if she was it was to get away from a life of neglect .

THANKYOU Dear people at howl of a dog, i donate to our own spca here in new zealand & i am very gratefull for what you do in romania to turn around many disadvantaged dogs that deserve our best care. it is very sad to look into there eyes & see a whole world that has left them all alone & in many cases in terrible pain & in the cold, for them to turn into happy & healthy dogs is always a great joy for the heart..always do what we can for them as they are so loyal & mans best friend.

I recognised all three of these lovely dogs Helen who lived on the streets for 6 yrs and was still the most sweetest gentle girl,Mina who was only 1 yr old but so scared,but got her forever home, and sweet injured Emma who was given the gift of being able to run and play again i am sure they will get their loving homes.Fingers crossed,prayers said, and God Bless the Romanian team for all you do,without you these sweet dogs have no hope for a life,Thank you...
