Thanks man! Awesome stuff - I went through literally countless tutorials to no avail.... The most useful was mentioning that if the reg entry is already there we should delete it and recreate it. For real, thanks a lot. I wasted so much time browsing the internet looking for a solution, found something similar to what you did, but they didn't tell us to replace the Upperfilters, just to delete it. Didn't work, that's why I came here. And as you can see I can type something so my keyboard works perfectly. Nice video, thumbs up!

2021, Win 10 Pro 64, Dell Precision Laptop - internal and external keyboards both not functioning. Remote access (by me using support tool working but machine useless to local user) This method still works and saved me a LockDown journey to my remote users' house. Superstar! (This after trying Windows troubleshooters, Dell diagnostics tools, CMD line tools etc.) Great save! Thank you.

I'm here to say my thanks :') It works like magic My problem start when i can't find "Device Settings" tab in my mouse properties. So i search for a new synaptics touchpad driver and installed it after uninstalling the old one. But, when i restarted my laptop, the keyboard and touchpad isn't working, but fortunately i can use a mouse to control it. And then i found this video. Thank you again, it's very helpful to me.

I need help to resolve my touch pad issue

Okay, so if all of his steps don't work for you I have one extra step to throw in before you get to the regedit part. Try uninstalling the software from the device manager before you go to the regedit, then you can do the regedit stuff you were doing like he said. His way of just doing the regedit first wasn't working for me so I uninstalled the device first and then did what he suggested and my touchpad works no problem now! Thank you sir, helped me a ton!

Bro, You are a legend, I clicked uninstall button and clicked check for hardware changes in device manager, everything sorted out. just in 5 seconds... WOW

OMG!! IT WORKED!!! I tried to look for a solution for 5-6 hours. My keyboard stopped working, because I was trying to uninstall touchpad/mouse drivers, because I could't disable that and normal habits didn't work. welp, finally both touchpad and Keyboard stopped working, but now both works. Ran into this error following a restart after I'd altered another registry that was causing repeated BSODs. I thought for sure that I'd fucked the registry because I'd deleted whatever the string was in its entirety. Followed the instructions precisely, and presto! The keyboard works once more. You've saved me $1500 dollars, and my sanity.

Hey Dude, Thanks for making this video. It's worked for me twice. I have seen other videos on youtube like update your driver etc. but that doesn't worked for me. So a little background for others what happened. I have two laptop, both running on windows 10. One is of lenovo and other one is of HP. This keyboard and mouse problem occurred for me after uninstalling Quick Heal Antivirus on both. Not sure if there is any other reason also. But again a big thank you.

Hi I come across your video as I'm having similar issues with the I2C HID Device having the same error code - but mouse and keyboard is fine - my problem is the touch screen, its not working or appearing as a component when it was clearly there before the win update. Now no amount of resetting reinstalling, clean installing windows or reinstalling drivers will fix this.. Do you have a similar fix for the touchscreen?
