The issue with Marceau is it's guns brake very often.. Sometimes break from the speed of the ship 😅

Seems like a gotta pick it up as my next coal ship, Even though I already have a lot of T10 DDs. I just got Salem recently and I'm really suprised I don't see it a lot more often, I had so many great matches with that ship so far, even though I don't have the Des Moines and therefore was not too familiar with the playstyle, but the guns and pure damage output is just nuts and the super heal is a cherry on top^^ I don't even feel the need to upgrade the range, just use smart positioning and your guns do the rest :D

Yeah. I bought Salem about 2 months ago and been having a blast in it as I didn't want to grind for Des Moines.

I have the DM and bought the Salem because of it. I now find myself playing the Salem more even though it has shorter radar. That repair has earned me some Dreadnoughts.

Wow- that speed boost is like increasing the speed on the replay!

I use RPF on my Marceau, its amazing to hunt DDs with speed boost, you can outgun every other DD

@@rowinglove4ever marceau has also better HE dpm (240k from Haru vs 253k from Marceau) And Harugumo moves like a brick while marceau is one of the fastest ships in the game (#2 behind paolo with speed boost active)

Smaland or Kleber might stand a chance in close range. I've also beaten many Marceau with Khabarovsk,they seem to only shoot the 50mm platings haha . Most marceau players keep spamming HE,which is a free win for khaba. If they only knew about AP...

I pick Marceau over Kleber. Consistent DPM, better stealth, non-yolo torps, and better AA is enough to convince me

@@etdizzle10 I bought the Marceau about 8 months ago and I am about to have the Kleber, the marceau is a lot of fun to play, as with the Kleber they hardly see you and run away, only the kleber is much better at long distances than the marceau because to the arc and to the flight time of the projectiles, but with so much DPM if you miss a shot you can instantly correct it, the only problems that I find with the French destroyers is that they suffer from very easy detonation as well as fires ... Points in favor are the speed, the saturation of damage that can become 0 (I checked eating 3 torpedoes from a shimakaze and survived) and that you do not regret getting any of the 2

@@Angel-PerCe Marceau has the same gun arcs as the Kleber. There is no difference to long range fighting. Marceau has better DPM than the Kleber hands down and better torpedo range in the event someone is clumsy enough to rush you. Marceau is favored for Saturation damage, speed and DPM over the Kleber. The only thing that Kleber got going for it is the reload booster and even then Marceau will beat it out with fearless brawler.

@@CCM1199 The flight times of the Kleber are not the same as those of the Marceau, there is a lot of difference. speed, rudder turn, and turn distance are equal. on the other hand, although the Marceau fires faster and has the highest DPM of all destroyers, the Kleber beats him when he activates his enhancer even for 15 seconds, I have fought both with both destroyers and the Kleber wins even without the enhancer simply because its flight times are better and because it has higher alpha per shot

@@CCM1199 Both are great, although I maintain that the Kleber is for playing in the open sea and the Marceau for closed environments, even its turret twist says so

French DDs are so underrated. Once they notice they can't lead enough they just leave you al9ne lol.

@@bluej511 this doesnt work so much for the Marceau though in my opinion since the Kleber is far more manageable at being useful at a distance where chaniging speeds and such is far more meaningful. Marcaeu doesnt have good range to begin with even before you factor in the mediocre shell flight time she has. She's an upclose assasin and is a different style of gameplay then the mid-range fast gun boats that the rest of the French DDs are

I have to save up my coal again. I went with Moskva because I got Stalingrad for steel and I love Stalingrad. I can say that Moskva is no Stallingrad but it is a fun ship to play on. Me on a DD in randoms and you may ring the dinner bell because Im lunch. lmao

Yeah, she'll be my next ship I buy for coal. Especially with WG getting rid of ships here lately!

I have Kleber and I can't play it to save my life, the speed is too quick for me I think. I have had some decent-ish scores but I've mostly Potatoed.

Player base skill is so so low. I've been playing today a lot and is frustrating to see your team disappear in 2 minutes no matter how hard u carry.

I suck with Marceau, I Mostly Play Pan Euros and am used to having the best or nearly the best conceal and my playstyle has developed in having that attribute. Ironically Marcy kicks my ass but I can't kick ass with her lol. I do have a weak commander in it and haven't given it the time that I should but it just doesn't suit my playstyle. Trenlass could kick ass even with a Vasteras in a tier 8 battle lol. I regret buying my Marceau and amaze at watching Trenlass here: He's sooooo Damn map aware! I'm always impressed with his vids. Ouch he hurts my ego, OUCH! lol

Okay youtube...When I type World of Warships I ALWAYS get names like Trenlass, Flamu, Flambass, Jingles or other big CCs....Today? Not a single CC I have ever heard of is coming up in the search algorithm. If I filter I can find a video by Zoup or SLM but that is it for the ones that I follow. Coincidence?

please get Marceau before Yoshino. Yoshi and Napoli are fun, but average at best. Marc is the best by far, plus it has great AA

i have yamato in BB, kitakaze and shimakaze in dd and only zao in CA which is kinda weak and i am grinding the british heavy cruiser line (T6) now. so that's why yoshino is my choice now

@@codev2880 If i may say Yoshino is definitively a good ship, if play correctly, long-mid range and some sneaky torps. Later in the game you can push a bit more but you said "good hp and armor to not get blapped from any angle" that isn't Yoshino xD Hp is ok but armor ain't good, a BB sneeze at you and it can slapped you in any angle. Huge citadel above water, side plating 30mm and bow/stern only 25mm. From far you wiggle left/right, play with ur throttle and... pray when shells are coming, up close against a BB.... citadel fiesta for him (u can citadel too though but only if not angle properly to you). Overhaul a good ship difficult to blap cuz it is at 18-20km from upcoming shells, and heavy He which will lit fire again and again, Cheers

So high tier coal ships in order of importance: Marceau, Pommern, Napoli, Salem, Yoshino, Neustrashimy, Marco Polo??

I can tell i prefere salem instead of napoli! Napoli is more tankier but that 17 secs for reload (yes its a t10 ship long distance module is a must 18.9km) is a lot and when comes the time to fire, i found my self a lot of times that couldnt pen the opponent! Salem has 5.5reload and can kill anything with the extreme pen shells and the crazy dpm! The main problem is that you must be cruiser player and all time be careful for your broad! Apart from that salem maybe is one of my very best ships! Napoli somehow disappoint me!

Not even a DD main but when I played this ship I felt like one, it's insanely fun especially during grand battle where I just farm the crap out of the Super Battleships.

I'd say that you need to be very good at DDs before picking up this ship. I'm not good at DDs period. So this ship would be a waste for me.

If marceau didn't have the floaty shells I'd get it, that is the one deal breaker for me. (well and the slower torpedoes) edit: best coal ship atm, I wish we'd get some fun additions or old ones to come back.
