We kinda just alternate between good decks and bad ones lately. Like we played a Warrior deck with all 1 Mana cards to drop 5 stars, then climbed with a real deck to stop back at rank 2. Actually pretty happy to be holding our rank despite shenanigans, will make the final Legend push trivial this month.

If Regis played the mercenary he wouldn't have mana for hero power so he would be at 20 health. He would have had two minions left on board the mercenary and siamat. Leeroy would then summon 2 whelps so unleash the would summon 4 hounds which is 12 damage plus the 8 from leeroy for lethal

There’s a lot of variations to the deck, but Priest is the way to go. It’s a divine spirit + inner fire combo to kill, with card steal, potion of madness, big health taunts to support and health/attack swap, weapon removal, other removal to survive until you get the pieces to win.

That quest hunter omg. How did he even get to rank 2?

In the first game, how do you risk losing to unleash the hounds when you are at 29 hp with 1 minion on the board?

I don't know when you mean, but I suspect I was saying generally, if we give up too much damage, we will end up losing, not necessarily that it's an instant lethal. At the end of the game, we were at some sub-20 breakpoints at stages, which are susceptible to Leeroy (6) + Hounds (2) + Hero Power (6), and any additional minion adds (3) damage, so going to two minions on board puts them at 8+6+3+3, or 20 total. The turn we didn't copy the Siamat would've left him with exactly that, and us at 2 health, but it's risky because he could trade in 2 hounds to clear and leave up a board I couldn't immediately react to, and we had inevitably anyway, so why provide him any extra outs. Edit: NO ACTUALLY WE WOULD HAVE DIED, WE COULDN'T ARMOR UP IF WE PLAYED THE MINION. HE COULD DO EXACTLY 20 FOR LETHAL.

@@RegisKillbin thing is he would have had 2 cards in hand the following turn, so that combo is out of the question, plus he would be short of a lethal in 100% of the cases, in which case his only option would be to trade, resulting in a net neutral, actually in your favor since your bombs are still coming, and you didnt sacrifice board presence.

Why is Leeroy + Unleash the Hounds not possible with 2 cards? What do you mean? In the alternate line where I copy Siamat: He plays Leeroy for 6 damage. It summons me 2 minions. I already have 2 minions. That's 4 minions which means 4 hounds get summoned. That's 4 damage. He then hits Hero Power to buff 5 minions (Leeroy and 4 hounds) each for +2, for a total of 10 damage. That's 6 + 4 + 10, or 20 damage total. Or 8+3+3+3+3 if that helps you see it better. We die because we have 20 health (we didn't armor up, we played a minion instead).

so if this aggro ish, have you consider to put quest synergy, its about 4 cards now, and looks likes all the 3 cards is good to maintain tempo (with the price of starting with 1 bad card). And the quest will completed eventually, to let you makes at least one 4/3 golem every turn (looks way better than 2 armor in this kind of deck)

The next logical solution would be to cut the Ancharr and replace it with a card you do have. Some replacements that come to mind : Leeroy, Brawl, Spellbreaker or Shield Breaker to tech against zilliax healz. Highlander decks can easily slot in a few replacements without drastically altering its gameplan bc its consistency is already suffering from singletons.

Vincent Mui I appreciate the logic, but no thank you. I don’t like playing without swing cards, I understand the math just fine but the annoyance of losing when “if only I drew X card that I don’t have” makes the game more frustration than fun. No-go territory for me.

He didn’t miss lethal at 13:50 if he had killed his bombs it wouldve killed ur minions to making unleash the hounds not give as many 1/1 charges

Remember when Blizzard didn't make Risky Skipper a pirate (yet)? Because Pain-and-Gain Pirate Warrior is viable and scary? As Regis was able to show off, this makes Ancharr a lot more of a threat. I also fought a quest warrior that used it to draw and play the new Kragg, but he still lost to me because the quest is just that bad XD

Why not run Dr.Boom as well for boombot value?

Same reason why we don't run Dr.Boom in pirate warrior. This deck isn't trying to out value opponents and win through attrition by controlling and grinding the opponent out of resources. The deck's mana curve alone should be a clear indication that this deck is trying to establish early tempo and face damage with mid to late game aiming to finish the opponent over the top with bombs and highlander payoff cards. I can easily see this deck running out of gas and losing board by turn 9 and playing Dr.Boom will just give the opponent a free turn to further capitalize on their late game advantage. IMO a Leeroy or Brawl will help the deck way more than playing Dr. Boom.

I’m kinda new and don’t know how some of this works, but god damn if this isn’t one of the best games

I think it is Augmented Eelek that adds more cards when cards are shuffled into the deck. It would increase the risk of your opponent drawing bomb cards

There were definitely some missteps. Interestingly, he sent me a really nice message after the stream mentioning how nervous he was to play with people watching. Super cool dude, and it happens to the best of us!

Your timestamp didn't really make sense to me, but speaking generally, I feel like you have a weirdly antagonistic interpretation there, especially of something that's so obviously NOT about the streamer. Surely you must see that there's value in explaining the distinction between lines for the sake of the viewer, not for the sake of the streamer. There will be 50,000 people who watch this video, and a huge portion of them will wonder about the other line and having an explanation why it's not ideal is super helpful to them. I get so many comments asking why I didn't do certain things if I don't explain them. In my opinion, it's a painful necessary evil, and certainly not something I think makes me an "interesting snowflake." Do I seem like someone who prides themselves on "thinking of all the possibilities?" I rarely think of 1/10th of them, hahaha.
