i tried this deck after watching a bit of the video and it is ACTUALLY insane. I am shocked it's only tier 2 right now, I keep just killing things without even calculating my lethal.

For real, this meta sucks. I’ve only had like 4 or 5 games actually go to turn 10 or beyond either they die by turn 7 or 8 or I do.

Between this, swarm Hunter and Paladin in general this is one of the most toxic metas we've had at least since Stormwind quests. I hate metas like this. You just can't do anything to stop the opponent from killing you directly from hand on turn 5 or 6 except killing them even faster. It's dumb.

I think the meta WILL be good as it is shaping up to be Board-centric, especially as those decks you mentioned are going to be dialed back with nerfs, and burn shaman will lose lightning bolt from Thralls gift + paladin gets 3 nerfs. Aggro hunter is a little too strong, but it is a fair deck that fights for early board presence.

Comparing this meta to stormwind is extreme. That was literal solitaire simulator. This meta is tempo-based and has interaction.

I came back to playing Standard this expansion after not playing for the past 4 years. I was having fun with the Wizbang decks, and then I started running into this deck. I immediately quit playing again and remembered why I stopped.

Try hand buff Paladin, token face Hunter, or this spell damage deck. They are pretty cheap to make using the dust from old cards and are kind of fun.

Ele sham with bioluminescence back in Ulduar was one of my favourite decks ever, I had a 82% winrate to legend or something insane so I’m happy to see a deck similar to it making an appearance:D!

It helps that this deck is unironically, budget friendly. I'm using this to get up the ladder whilst I get more packs to solidify other decks.

I wasn't expecting to like this deck as much as I did. Kind of feels like old school mage but on crack.

I used wheel of death to get legend and this freaking shaman deck was the most troublesome opponent for me. Too much direct damage is always broken

Well, he can do the combo in turn 5 (i do it reliably) but he's a good player even if he doesn't master it.

I hadn't played in about 2 years. I'm just whizbanging up the ladder. It started off pretty balanced... Then I hit like 30 games of people playing auto complete decks full of basic cards and cards that make no sense. There's a 2/2 that does something if you have a weapon being played against me in like priest. So it's gotten really boring. But I guess the answer is to push through until I'm getting murdered by handbuff pally.

@@WillACarpenterIt's because the ranks mean nothing. You started at low MMR, where Blizz has no bots because they want new players to get the human v. human experience, then climbed to a slightly higher MMR where no one who is still playing is, and get bots to make sure you have games. Once your MMR is decent the Blizzard bots vanish

watched quite lots of your vids and realized still havent sub you so i did also nature shaman is fun, handbuff pallys doesnt even have a turn to play their busted minions xd (blizz why the fuck is 3/2 with rush, lifesteal, divine shield + hand refill 3 fucking mana)

Oh believe me, you can with the proper set-up, i deleted a warrior just because i copied my lightning reflexes on purpose (draw a card if overload), i almost lose due to animations but i had the damage to beat him, i killed him a turn later anyways, but yeah it is the "hardest" match-up.

This deck farms paladins, I'm only playing this until that nonsense gets nerfed

It's just broken. In the fisrt game you didn't even needed set up for turn 6 kill with only +1 spell dmg. The most of the shaman spells has userpriced mana costs.

I hate this deck, I have no way of telling when I’m ahead or behind, they literally randomly OTK me as soon as turn 6, it’s horrible to play against.

And people call paladin a problem. I swear, shaman and hunter that kill you on turn 4-6 are worse, paladin at least needs time to handbuff his minions and allow you to find necessary cards to answer, this stuff in their turn will kill you without even giving u any chances

Alot of problems in hs could be fixed with cards cant cost less than 1. Remove manacheat and remove rng. But new devs seem to like crazy combos

ok i played it in 13k legend after seeing this. and went 7-1. disgusting i killed one guy when he had 4 mana.

I don't think you can make it to diamond 4 with that basic hunter deck So LavaBat is LavaBot

Lavabat is definitely a bot. I played bots from chicken to high platnium at one point. Made me never want to play ranked. Since arena is geared for you only to get 3-4 wins, not many modes to play.

That LavaBat hunter player was definitely a bot. I ran into a number of "players" who were playing classic cards that felt out of place for the meta for each class. Don't mind so much as I was able to hit Legend for the first time ever.
