I have been wondering for yearssss why we wasn't doing this anyway. It's not just a few degrees, either I noticed around 11 degrees less c on full load, that made my fans considerably quieter

EKWB direct die is problematic and are an underperformer. I went with IceManCooler direct die block and never looked back.
