    She has the right to free speech. As long as she's not threatening or harassing anyone, then she's well within the bounds of the first amendment and the law. If people don't like her, then they don't have to listen to or associate with her. We're still a (semi) free country.

    Except that you want you receive your diploma in person, you *HAD* to be there and so *HAD* to listen to her. I have no problem with her expressing her political opinions. It was the "“Time, Place, and Manner” regulations" that made her speech not acceptable. It is reasonable for a public school (ie, that receives tax payer money) to place a reasonable restriction on what is said at school-wide graduation gatherings where there is a wide spread of racial, religious, and political beliefs - where those folks had little choice in being there.

    She's bringing attention to literal CRIMES and atrocities and your issue is "it's not the place"? People need to realize what these speeches and protests are meant to do. The aim is to make you uncomfortable, to make you think. What would be the point of her speaking to only pro-Palestinians or pro- whatever else she stated? She'd be talking to people that already agree with her, how is that helpful? Every place is the damn place to do it until there's a change.

I wonder what the parents of her classmates who came to celebrate their children's accomplishments thought after being subjected to that virtue signaling tirade.     According to the 1st Constitutional Amendment of America, everyone has freedom of speech and freedom of religion. However, hate speech does not count as free speech.     I think that people with semitic languages as their mothertongue has this nasal sound to it and often you can hear this among native speakers of arab and hebrew when they switch to their second language
