When my regular degreaser is not geting the job done well enough, I went searching for a better option. I searched the internet for popular choices and chose to compare 1 well known engine degreaser, one new to the market, one that is an old mechanic trick and one that is not normally on anyones mind! i was impressed with the findings and you will be too!

Certain products can strip top layers that protect steel and cause rust.

Very true. But the gunk degreaser is safe on all surfaces. And if you’re using aircraft stripper, then you have pulled your engine apart to rebuild anyway. That’s the case here. This engine will be repainted soon.

No I haven’t even heard of it. Is it great? I’m always looking for the next best thing.
People dilute purple power ? Huh , I never have and love the stuff . Totally Awesome from DG works very well and is dirt cheap .

Maybe it didn’t show up in the video, this block was disgusting. Built up piles of grime in every corner.
