I talked to Regner Cooling again yesterday and he promised to fix all the things pointed out in my video for production. That's for sure one advantage of the low volume production.

let me add a few more points to your list: - wrong materials (expensive aluminium vs. cheap steel), most likely due to manufacturer's limitations (doesn't have a stamp press) - failure to take advantage of the expensive materials (powder-coated aluminium looks like cheap steel, no brushed/textured/anodized parts visible) - wrong choice of manufacturing process and tools (expensive prototype vs. cheap mass production) - a total lack of any innovative/cool/retro/luxurious/hipster/radical/unique/elegant/satisfying/high-tech features without which this expensive product makes zero sense - primitive construction with zero convenience features (e.g. captive screws, magnetic locks, tool-less assembly, cable straps, quick-remove filters, noise/vibration dampening, etc.) - missing rubber grommets in the cable holes - this could lead to fire hazard - bland and boring aesthetics that can't compete against $100 cases - wastes space - restrictive ventilation grilles with wrong hole shape (triangle vs. hexagon) - bad airflow design (too small vent areas, the bottom fans have no room to breathe due to too short legs, etc.) - they apparently didn't even read the ATX 2.01 specification (e.g. the PSU mounting/venting requirements), this screams amateurism - they are attempting to enter one of the most brutally competitive markets in the world without being able to define their competitive advantage

€800 and not tempered glass? How is this price in any way justified? I have no issue with a super premium price, but the product has to be doing something genuinely special or facilitating a solution that is not otherwise possible.

@arudanel5542

Acrylic for 800? yeah, no. Already out. Feet are super low, so there's zero airflow from the bottom. No grommets for the cable holes. Zero cable management channels on the backside, 3D printed cover, no countersinking for most of the screws, and you have to hold the parts when installing them. Just all around overpriced and mediocre. I'd give them 250for it MAYBE, being aluminum. That'd be the max, the price is completely detached from reality.

@@arudanel5542 I agree, there are lots of cheaper cases that have better features. But those are all mass produced and not made in Germany. One of the reasons why it's so expensive.
@TheBrain0110

I suspect doing the double bends is very difficult with tempered glass manufacturing wise. Also might be hard shipping wise and not having it break. That said if it isn’t possible with this design and people really want tempered glass they need to know their market and do a design that will work with tempered glass. Most of the other issues seemed to be them being small and not having a huge design capacity.
Where are they trying to claim the 800 cost is coming from? This case offers literally nothing over other mainstream cases with this same design, in fact this offers less.

@@marcogenovesi8570 But its crap, people pay more for der8auers thermal paste because it's better than anything else, even if its only for the short term. @@marcogenovesi8570eh, germany beeing a high cost country doesn't even have that much of an effect, it is more their absolutely tiny production numbers, and the fact they have so many custom parts for each specific case they do. The tooling probably adds 5-10 times the money that the lebour costs.

@@reappermen tooling is cheaper in asia (if you can use local machinery that is, this is not true for very high tech sectors but cases aren't one of them). €800? Holy crap. I bought an £80 O11D knock-off that's better designed than that!
I think I can build a pretty good 1080p gaming PC with better aesthetics for 866usd...
🎱🎱Always Fun Roman! Thanks for the video! 🎱🎱
For fan/radiator mounting plate i would mill out a 2,5-3 mm recess in the plate, instead of countersinking as it's 5 mm thick anyways. That way both countersunk M3/M4 and regular dome based UNC screws will fit. If they don't have access to milling and want to lasercut it, then a slight redesign of the intake pattern is needed and you simply laser cut holes all the way through so the screwheads have space.
Product site now mentions tempered glass
Super detailed review! If even considering this case, just get a King 95 and put the savings toward a 4090. :)

It's crazy after all this time they still can't get the basics right. It's like it was designed by someone that's never built a PC before.
They're gonna sell a DLC that is placed over the power button and prevents cats from turning your system on and off.
my case was around 60 quid, it has case ventilation & a removable dust filter for the PSU...
Great review thxs, only criticism i have is the AIO, mounted so cables go forward, i always build mine cable back. It just looks better imo
For a build in this case be sure to add noctua desk fan first so you wont sweat and make sure that as big chunk of your budget went to the case, save money and buy cheap ssds from aliexpress and gpu and cpu too. And of course aliexpress liquid cooling. I heard you can get gpus, mobos, cpus and psus and basically everything much cheaper from there. Its amazing. So that you can enjoy your close to 1000 euros(when shipping costs added) pc case and quality aliexpress gaming pc build.
You'd need a gasket for the rad mountings.
10:20 No worries. With that price there won't be any mass production of this case, so 3D printing it is for that part you are looking at.
Aluminum is nice but acrylic (plastic) not glass is a hard sell.
A showcase of greed and ineptitude - it felt like each time there was a major camera angle change, Roman found another major criticism to level at this case. It should cost under £100 with all those flaws, and cheap acrylic. The acrylic only looks OK when there's nothing in the case - when the system was assembled and the camera panned, you could see all the ugly warps and ripples in the 'glass'. I just hope no-one tries to add a UV light strip to this case - after a few months it really _will_ be an all-white case!
Seems like nvidia pricing. Also acrylic can get micro fractures after time and for that money i would want a see through panel monitor that can display some fish when the computer is switched off.
Derbauer Is it better to keep the case fans and CPU fans at a steady speed for gaming or to create fan curves? If creating fan curves, what speeds or percentages should I set them to?
Ok - so - I just had an idea that you might find interesting since it's kinda crosses the auto realm too. I wonder if we could apply the same ceramic coating stuff that we would apply to protect paint surfaces to the acrylic to protect it from scratches.
no gromets for the cable cutouts? wtf
White case can we get white front panel cable wires. Also open each radiator location and put filter instead. Rear fan. Less name branding also.
Very good job, but I have not heard anything about the window for the eps cable. For my opinion on the top on the right side of the window for eps cable another window for the cpu pwn cable or rgb/a-rgb cable for more clean cabling management is not a bad idea.
800 is crazy, you could have something fully custom manufactured at that point.
Damm that is expensive 😵💫
I purchased the View 37, which I believe was one of the initial cases of its kind. The acrylic panel is bound to scratch over time; for $800, I truly think they should include tempered glass or reduce the price.
Too expensive for sure. Perhaps they can add shield or 90 degree corner to hide the Top AIO wire/tubes from a direct view? The Rubber Grommets need to be there in the same (RAL) color as the case for sure. I feel it could be nice-er had the Acryl and other side panel a hinge for easy access. It was a Proto-type not? Overall, It is a nice Fish Tank, not my taste but still nice. Curious to see the revised version, perhaps in a different color? 😇

They don't have to pay for R & D or outside consultants or hire anyone knowledgeable. They just make a prototype, send it to a reviewer and wait for the feedback. Clever.
For a PC case that expensive I would have also expected support for reverse connector motherboards.
2025 Case Trends: Double Curved Glass Panels. Watch this will be the next thing all mfg's jump on
dust filters, yes totally agree, put them in a box and clean your pc ... you can see dust build up ... lots of glass panels these days
Hard no from me dawg, a basic fishtank case for the cost of a 7800x3d+ram+mobo+ssd+lian lis most expensive xl case plus a cooler/aio (depending on brand)
I'm sorry, but what is this cool 12VHPWR LED adapter you use?
They took notes about what jonsbo does because this regner case looks very similar to the tk-2
DeepCool CH780 is a better designed case. The only 2 issues I had was the opening behind the CPU was incorrectly designed, blocking 2 screw holes for the cpu mount and the case has 2 USB 3 cables but my mobo only has 1 connection.. The included gpu riser works great. A minor design gripe was that the glass panel is not easy to open and you has to open the top panel .(
they should have options for different textures, something crazy like "anyozided titanium" for such price
Where's your extension for that screw driver?
The advanced math that turns two 90-degree angles into "270 degrees" is surely worth more than USD 800, right...?
Look similar to the Montech King 95 case
I would expect something quite special for 800 euro. Seems wasted to not leave the aluminium brushed of polished
idea - 10/10, realization - 2/10, price - 800/200 :)
If this is too large to use tempered glass then that side panel better be polycarbonate for $800. I don't care how thick it is, acrylic is just not acceptable. There are a lot of things I do like about the case but they really need to consult with more experienced builders before getting this far in the design process.
knowing lore of that 4090 i doubt roman had mutch faith anyway
800 bucks? That's not competitive. What are they thinking?
800 euros wowza. Only good thing good about it, is it is made in Germany. But is it really worth that cost?
I feel like somebody in that company didn't do market research because I don't see why this case should cost 800€... It has just plastic instead of glass, nobody really cares it's made out of aluminum because it's still under paint so if they used some cheaper sheet steel it would be just as good. One thing I've noticed is that they have no grooves or mechanism for dust filters so, in few months your nice fish tank PC will be full of dust. If this was cheap under 150€ case then these things can be overlooked to a point. Paying 800€ for PC that is cutting corners is crazy.
Acrylic not glass, no grommets or dust filters and half-baked engineering for $866? Where do I buy this fine, fine product? This is a very expensive joke.
At this point they just need to hire you. Or give you a consultation fee.
Its a badly conceived 200euro case (at most). Frankly there are better cases for under 150euro on Amazon. 'Made to order' is not an excuse when its just crap, however and whatever its made of. Having to charge 800euro just means you have a terrible business model.
Crazy. My Hyte case cost 500 bucks less and is twice as nice to build in and it has real glass.
The logo's are way too big too. And why are there TWO on the case?
Do you send them your feedback?
No ventilation for the PSU seems like an oversight really. Not sure what's worse, that being an oversight or not being an oversight.
Such case would be epic if it had support for all the connectors on the back of the mobo, there will be just a gpu cable and maybe a fan cable here and there If the industry can figure out a standard😂 Also its eay to expensive
800 euro for another O11-esque case? Are they insane?
That is the best looking of the O11-style cases I've ever seen and it's not even close, wow!
just showing this video to metalsmith nearby my area, i might can get around 100-200$ to do this. AND HOW THE HELL THIS CASE SO SPECIAL cost 800 euro.
The distortion from the acrylic is awful. I just don't see how they found that to be even close to an acceptable solution. It is going to be scratched and look terrible so quicly. Also the exposed screws while not an eyesore to me, are just begging to have scratches around them from a mishap with a screwdriver. Im not even close to the target market for something like this, but I think the people that are will expect much better than this thing offers.
Roman, you're not doing anyone any favours by dealing with this compony.. They are clearly an irredeemable abomination. Such basic mistakes for such a price? Pls just forget about Regner Cooling and don't spend another second of your life on them. ;)

I actually really liked the look'n feel of this case. Love the design-language, the “simple look”, no unnecessary holes and cutouts and the fact that they use thick aluminum sheets. It kind of gives me a sturdy and robust industrial feel to it. But yes, at that pricepoint, there sure is some room for improvement and tweaks to be done. If I were to order one my self, I would go with a kind of dark charcoal grayish color, with mate finish, for the paintjob.
Is the $800 in the room with us?
Yikes! That side panel that blocks the power supply from breathing. That’s bad!
Sounds like a one man company who has bought a laser cutter and a powder coating machine and is making them with out consideration of the multiple combinations of components that PC is made up of.
