    Bottom fans really really help this case! Its shocking how much it changes things. Use bottom as intake fans, top as outake the back little fan as outake then the back wall ans the side as intake. I promise you will see surprising results.

    Hey a couple of questions because I have this. So first I'll say I will run it closed with full fans, will it be good to put 3 bottom in 3 top out 1 back out, aio on side pull from out and the 3 in front out? or should i also put the 3 in front in or the aio sucking from inside and going out?

  • @dihydroxide

    @dihydroxide

    @@jookerbb you can fit at most 2 on the bottom due to the PSU. Set this pair as intake. You should point the 3 in the front as intake to pull in cool air for the AIO on the side to push out. The 3 top as exhaust will work great to cool the motherboard and vent the case in general. Don't forget the exhaust fan out the back too.

    Im not a fan of open case due to potential dust get into system and frequent chore to clean it up. Is there always an opening gap at the back near pci/videocard mount? There a way to close the gap with dust filter maybe whether we mount the video card horizontaly or vertically? For heat issue i think they should put dust filter at the front instead of glass panel.

    Exactly what I do. Top mounted 360 rad pushing out, front side and bottom all pushing in and one out the back. The biggest choke point is the 4090 pushing hot air at the tempered glass. Honestly I feel gpu’s need to start being redesigned to push that air out the back of the card somehow. In the front and side you can have 2 14”, 3 12” or what I have is 2 12” and a 14” on both front and side and a 12” and 14” on bottom for intake. I suppose side mounting a 360 is an option as well but I am not a fan of most builds with side or front mounted radiators unless they can some how be above the AIO level. This way and air in the system doesn’t end up in the AIO.

    The whole premise of this video would have been taken apart by following basics law of physics and removing the top glass. I've been running the same case with 25 degrees idling and 31-35 under full gaming load (Hogwarts legacy on 4k for a few hours). Removing the glass would have allowed the hot air to rise and leave the case without issues. If the top glass is there, it's quite obvious that hot air will be trapped between the radiator and the glass, making liquid hotter. On my setup, I did the following: 1. Waterblocked CPU and GPU (AMD 7950X3D & Gigabyte Gaming 4090 OC) 2. D5 pump right in front of the side and front of the case 3. Fan config: 3- 120 cm fans pushing air in from the bottom 3- 120 cm fans pushing air in from the front 1- 120 cm fan pulling air out from the back 3- 120 cm fans pulling air out from the top with a medium 360 cm rad 3- 120 cm fans pulling air out from the side with a large 360 cm rad 4. Loop config: D5 pump to GPU then GPU to top rad Top rad to CPU then CPU to side rad Side rad back to pump Removed the top glass and voila!! Great airflow and thermals which even with the setup above would have been terrible with the glass on top just trapping all the hot air... Cheers, Capt. Barbossa

    Just finished building my P6 with a very similar configuration as this video's build: Intel i9-10900 and an ASUS ROG STRIX 3080 Ti. The CPU is cooled by a 360mm AIO with 3x 120mm mounted in the push configuration out the side, just like this video. 2x 140mm fans were mounted on front (intake), bottom (intake), and top (exhaust). Finally, a single 120mm exhaust fan in the back, just like this video. Decided to run thermals after watching this video. CPU maxed out at 74 with Cinebench R23 and GPU maxed out at 67 with Heaven. Although 8x 120mm fan may sound like a lot from the video, but it's not nearly enough. The best intake is through the bottom, which fans were completely absent in the build from this video. The front and top can each use an additional 120mm fan. I think this is the only review that had thermal issues with the P6, but it's also the only review that ran so few fans for such a case that was designed for many more than just 8x 120mm fans.

    wtf? it's a 200€ case without fan included... adding "just" 8 fan means adding an additional 64€ in cheap fan, or another 200€ for a full noctua industrial 120mm there is no excuses, the tempered glass and the lack of space to let the fan breathe are killing the termal performance, it's full of 200€ case that do best with fewer fans P.S. you shouldn't blame the reviewer for not putting in "enough" fans, you should blame thermaltake for poor thermal design

  • @dihydroxide

    @dihydroxide

    @@librasd8087 I believe all "show" cases suffers from airflow issues. P6 is actually one of the better full TG cases out there with the bottom, side, and back fully vented without TG. As another person commented, the reviewer opted NOT to use bottom vents during his install. If cost is an issue, don't go with a TG/Show case. Plenty of "airflow" budget cases are available. Also, if you want to save on those "expensive" fans, TG panels are removable on the P6 if you are truly desperate... Very few TG cases on the market give that option.

    Important question here. I’m about to pull the trigger and get this case to mount and add a custom loop. I’m assuming that with a water cooled custom loop the air flow restrictions and box getting hot would be resolved. Is that the case? Or is the lack of airflow still going to create a problem? Having said all this, I also wanted to mount it to the wall when complete, and that’s the exact reason I want this case. Will doing so suffocate the case more? I can’t expect fans on the mother board side to pull in much air when squashed against a wall. Any input would be helpful!! Thank you in advance!

    In the Thermaltake example on their site, it looks as if the bottom fan offsets heat from the aio near the bottom of the radiator, it mixes and gets pushed out the front, that's why there's no air filter up there. The top and side should be in and head out the back and front. If the front is in and top is out, which I can't really tell in the video, then hot air would gather on the top glass and form a trapped heat pocket in the front top corner, which again if front is in, side in, and top out, would eventually expand that hot air bubble, growing into the gpu. Again, can't really tell in the vid, but I worked it out in paint, I could host if anyone wants to see. With this configuration, I think it's supposed to be in from bottom and side, out to front. In from side and top, out the back. Also, Thermaltake left little gaps above the aio radiator, and above the back fan probably to help with some micro airflow. Thanks for the vid!

  • @willosborne6763

    @willosborne6763

    Nah, it's fine, it just just requires some thought about fan placement and how to exhaust properly. Check the aio radiator placement with tubes up meaning air is going to get trapped at the top leading to inefficient cooling of cpu, second, no thought has gone into air circulation within the chassis. Depending on the fans used for the radiator if they aren't supplying enough static pressure then any warm air is going to get sucked straight out the top of the case. A better method would be to have high static pressure triple aio front, with side fans and a top right fan having low static pressure but high airflow to cool the oncoming air off the aio, which will continue pushing cool air onto the gpu. A bottom 140mm fan can blow cool air up and directing all air towards exhaust fans at the rear and 2 on top with the far rear exhaust having a higher air flow and static pressure to pull air in that direction.

  • @stryke3725
    @stryke3725 Жыл бұрын

    your radiator placement is completely wrong, by placing it at the side of the front. you're circulating warm air from the radiator into the main compartment. also the cpu cooler won't be able to cool the cpu as efficiently as it could because of the air pocket at the very top of the radiator inside.

I would just slap massive amounts of fans in there. I've got Corsair fans, and LL (Lian Li) fans, and P12's from ARCTIC.. Just get a bunch of fans and 140mm fans and 120mm. So yea, just throw fans at it all over the place. I see no heat problems. It's such a beautiful case, how can you go wrong with it? Just freeze the hell out of it with fans. It's probably quiet as hell and cool as hell temperature wise. One things for sure, ITS BEAUTUFUL. Have you seen the army green and turquoise units? They are bad ass, like Hummers., I mean I have a BIG question for you. How is this case any worse in thermals than the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO edition? I would think they are exactly the same, both have tempered glass panels on front and side, so yea, how could there be ANY difference at all. You've got 6 fans in the front of the case blowing in and against each other. I doubt there's good airflow because of this. Move the radiator/fans to the front of the case in a push/pull configuration with the three fans already there. All blowing into the case. You now have created a good breeze (albeit a little warm) into the case to feed the GPU. Don't build for show, build for proper air flow and thermals. Not saying this will dramatically improve the temps, it may be the front glass is simply restricting too much airflow. Which is why I hate glass cases. Give me mesh any day over these tacky looking fish tank cases.
