I've been doing a lot of Montech builds lately. Their old cases were sorta junk but you can tell with each new case they learn from their mistakes, and they keep getting better. For the price it's really hard to beat the quality you get now.

Well maybe junk is too harsh. I bought one of their first cases ages ago and yes, build quality was not that good ( although not even that bad) but I paid it 35€ brand new off Amazon. And that was with 3 included pwm fans. The price made it up for the sub optimal build quality. Hell, a single fan of my current build is 32€. Almost no product is junk, those who are it's because they are overpriced.

Junk is kinda right. I had the montech x2 and I will say there were definitely mistakes when making it bet still not a bad case. One mistake imo is the space for cable management is not that good and could definitely use room for improvement

I'm really digging the fact that all those features, including a non-standard color & top panel plug/caps, are included in a fully sub-100 dollar price tag. THIS is what I'm talking about! I can really get behind this case for my next build.

Love Micro Center but hate that there's too few locations and their policies with limiting the most desirable items to in store purchase only to snub all the online scalpers. The closest one to me is an 8.5hr(!) drive away. Creates a massive gap between the have and have nots that aren't within a reasonable driving distance to one of their stores and makes you question the choice to sponsor content on a world wide platform when the company can't even cover a quarter of the US. I wish they'd expand to Salt Lake City cause our ONLY option is Best Buy and their terrible never in stock limited choices and pre-scalped AIB products.

That is actually an interesting case. I like the blue, and the case seems pretty thoughtfully designed. Equipping it with a full suite of fans is nice, as if it's a new build (or builder) you don't need to worry about mismatched fans or having to buy extras. The flipped fans is also a nice touch.The accessories pack is nice. If they made a mesh version of this in blue, I'd be tempted to use this for a new build. But i'm just not into the whole tempered glass thing.

I using this EXACT case in a build and I plan on ripping those fans out for ICUE fans just because I feel like they would look better next to my ICUE AIO cooler and they'll all connect for RGB control

id love to see you fully mod this case. painting the grills and stuff, throwing in a little screen or two. i think its a cool littler case.

I love the fact that you find these unheard of brands and do videos about their products showcasing things. I love looking for new things and sometimes the biggest and baddest brands out there aren't necessarily great bang for the buck. Definitely will check these out if I build a new pc again. PS: The Glasses really suit you, looks good on you.

I built my rig in a Montech Air X case about 2 years ago. Over time it evolved from fully air cooled to an top mounted AIO to a full custom loop with 2x240MM radiators (with minor modifications to mount the top rad). Was surprised with the quality of the case for the price point and have recommended them to a few people that are looking into building their own rigs. The blue looks sharp too!

Have to admit, have only ever owned black cases. Actually like the look of the blue and what comes with this case for the price. It is for sure an option on a budget. Great review and thank you Montech for providing Jay with the cases, so we could see them. You are now on my radar for a new case.

Same until my last case, where I got the coolermaster h500p in white. Looks super clean with black mobo, gpu and AIO/rad.

i really dont like the blue they picked for this case. Also dont like the rounding of the fans, but im not trying to convince you not to like it. Cant fault the price atleast. And its good to see less popular manufacturers getting more prominent.

I've only ever used black myself, but my brother has a white desk and I made him a white themed build that looks great on top of it in an NZXT H510i

One of my first computers 20 years ago used the case that Ultra later called the Wizard, deep blue metallic, even the plastic has metallic particles, and it has a blue UV reactive side window with chromed CPU and GPU intake covers!

I like the new smarter Jay look, new spectacles. Awesome. Not a bad color on the PC case. 👍

This case seems really decent for the price point. I'd love to see Jay finish a build using it.

This case makes so much sense. I love the idea of the HDD being screwed in. How often do you actually swap your HDD? The ventilation and fan layout looks amazing.

Kinda dig the blue, I've always thought cool colors were nicer than white - like the Fractal Pop Air varieties. Also good on them for the ARGB/PWM splitter included at the sub-100 price. Actually considering a transplant to this case now. I like it more than my Cougar MX-330-G Air.

Ya know, me too man, and I don't think I'd ever look at a powder blue case unless it was right in front of me. Pretty unique.

Montech has been improving dramatically over the years. I'm even feeling tempted to buy one of their cases if they ever get imported to my country (buying them online is simply way too expensive even for the cheapest of cases due to the weight factor)

glad montech are getting more exposure! my case is the montech air 1000 premium and i love it, looks so clean, is easy to build in, and it comes with 2 front panels at no extra cost - great airflow too

Well worth the money, nice features in that Montech case. I really like the integrated controller and the squircle fans. The last build I did was Lian Li O11 Air Mini and this layout has a pretty similar easy build feel. After years of glass I'm slowly shifting toward the high airflow cases... Very nice compact look without all the noise.

Montech makes some interesting cases, good to see their quality improving.

So speaking of those little LCD panels as sensor panels, I am about to finish up a 3D printed design for mounting one to the rear of a Lian Li O11! If anyone is interested in the files for it, I will be posting them to Thingiverse hopefully tomorrow! :) Will probably title it "5 inch Display mount for Lian Li O11 Dynamic", also working on adapting it to standard 120mm fan mount. Small edit: Just ordered the threaded inserts and screws for testing, won't be delivered until next week and I don't feel comfortable posting the design if I can't verify it works 100%. So will be posting by next Friday (1/20/2023) if all goes well! EDIT: I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!! School caught up with me plus one of my prints failed so I lost motivation for a bit but the project is on Thingiverse :) Just search " 5" Display mount for Lian Li O11 Dynamic " and you will find it.

That is a lot of case for $93. The reverse fans, the hub, the color, its really feature rich for that price point. impressive.

I'm really enjoying the current trend of aquarium style cases, allowing parts/builds to be shown off. The blue looks really fun to colour coordinate with.

@@VeritasEtAequitas what are you talking about? There's lots of options for if you want to make a strictly functional build and it's typically less expensive to do so vs a dolled up RGB build.

I've been waiting for someone to review their cases. I bought one for a build blind 2 years ago and was amazingly impressed.

Montech has been in the game for a minute. Their cases have been low budget but they have been getting better throughout the years. This case seems like an average builder case. I would love to see Jay max this case out with some high end parts, for fun lol. Also love the glasses!

I'm liking that more manufacturers are coming back with color options. Reminds me of BitFenix cases that had color galore

TT has some cool color options on some of their cases. Check out their Tower 100 ITX tower, they have a nice blue like this as well as an Orange. Best ITX tower I've ever built in. They took the Silverstone vertical Fortress idea and made it better.

I'm very impressed with this case and what all is included with it. I hope in the future they venture into super towers, and mini itx cases.

I bought my own silicon IO dust caps years ago, pretty awesome though to see them included with the case, Bloody well done Montech! I hope this brand comes to Australia at some stage.

here in the UK we can get the previous version, the Sky One in mid and mini formats.

Would love to see a near future build with this. As well as a great chance to give an in depth showcase of how to use that rgb and fan controller in the OS.

I dig these different colors. I still rent, so me changing colors of walls etc aren't practical, but if I owned and was able to make my own space, having a case like this would be an awesome focal point for a build. It would also be nice to see someone do this and paint/wrap a monitor bezel, etc to match, or make a contract color. Terrific idea by the "little guy on the block" to go against "we MUST make money" mentality and offer something different. And to add the reverse fans and the fit cutouts for the side mount showed the company took their time to design with the end user and experience THEY have, in mind. Massive props to them for thinking of us first.

Good to see the shipping armor they applied to the corners of the box. I often wonder how anything ever arrives intact after seeing the way most things are packaged.

I’d love to see a build off series where everyone has the same case and major part but it’s up to the builders creative to make the most unique pc

MONTECH is the brand who often get overlooked, but their cases and coolers are really good. I appreciate you review their products !

At the price point even the Blue seems like a steal for the case you get. Very well thought out design for a budget case . Keeping them in mind for sure ,thanks Jay

This video came out just as I was putting together a new build and was looking for a case. Bought the black version of this case and must say it has been great to this point. Quality construction, looks clean and sharp and really good cable management. Plus it comes with 5 or six fans!! So glad Jay did this review!!

I'd LOVE to see more companies make fans like this. Nothing worse than having to put the pretty side down.

I just built in their Sky One for a Christmas gift and found it a great case, particularly for the price, which is even lower than this one. I liked it so much that now I'm building in the Sky Two. A blue one like in the review. A couple of things that Jay didn't mention which builders should be aware of. Depending on your mb's layout, cable fitment can be TIGHT. A USB 3.0 header that fires straight out the bottom is gonna be a problem. EPS cable up top with an AIO may cause issues. You wanna put a rad where the side intake fans are, you ain't fitting that monster GPU in there. (There's a reason that the ones shipped out for review also seem to have included the same air cooler for the reviewer to use.) A Sky Two 2.0 with juuuuuust a little more room all around would be a Hall of Fame case at this price point. Don't get me wrong, this is still a great case. You just have to be aware of its limitations when planning your build.

I had to cut some metal out of my sky one mini to get my USB header in. Also I've no idea how people fit the psu properly as there was no way to fit it naturally. Very tight fit but I needed smallest possible and the Asus Prime was a bit too long.

Yeah, the Montech is definitely on my radar now. I'm going to be building a flight sim box shortly, and was trying to figure out how I might "aviationize" a mid tower case. These removable mesh panels seem like just the ticket.

That Morocco Blue does look really good. Excellent attention to detail when presenting the features of this case and comparing the case build to previous builds by Montech. Thank you!

It's way too baby blue for me and looks like it belongs in a baby boy's room. A deeper more purple royal blue would be drastically more preferable.

I have a the Montech air x case and I’m telling you man it’s one of the best designed cases it’s got plenty of space and easy to change out parts like replacing the fans, only issue I have with it is front to back it’s a little short so the aio I have in it had to go on front instead of the top like I wanted but in the end it ended up looking really good so it’s worth it plus it was $80

Standardized front panel connector shout out. That takes me on the way back ride where every darn time I bought a new case and motherboard it was a chore trying to match all the little pins in a zillion different orientations! Thanks for highlighting a cool value case.

Asus used to give port plugs and covers like those you showed in the video. The asus X99 TUF SABERTOOTH came with USB, PCIe slot covers, and fake ram sticks to keep those clear as well. They also had pinblocks to make front panel wires to one block.

I really like bios speakers, there's something so satisfying about hearing that beep on start up

For the plug caps, most ANTEC cases include them. Really handy for server/htpc setups, or dusty environment.

So glad that PC case manufacturers are actually including the Bios beep speakers, the Bios beep is an insanely useful feature to have in my honest opinion, if you hear a single beep when booting-up your PC you will instantly know that's a good sign, cause it usually indicates a successful passing of all the P.O.S.T. routines before the PC actually boots-up.

The sky two has been my recent Dream case because i love the look of this. definitely gonna buy this very very soon

I’m glad the beep is back, I have a 20+ year old speaker and cable from an old Antec case I keep in a draw for builds so I can have my beeps.

It's the first Video i'm watching you having glasses and we can tell they are new to you as you do exactly the same thing people do when they wear glasses for the first time, adjusting them (without even knowing) all the time :)

I've had a number of systems in the past, mostly beige. Built a few black systems, nice to see a different Color offered. The Moroccan Blue was nice.

I am a fan of Montech as of about 2 months ago. I bought the Air 1000 case in white and absolutely love it. I even bought a second case for my wife. Then a friend was building a new PC and he went with the X3 case. Both very nice cases for less than $75. The RGB fans alone are worth the cost of the case.

I help people fix build lists for their PC's and I often find myself migrating to cases like Montech x3/1000 Air/100 Air, Fractal Pop Air/Focus 2, Matrexx, and such because it helps keep the costs within budget, usually have good airflow, and comes with fans installed! I also find that white builds are becoming increasingly popular, but I'm hoping more colours will be seen.

Oooo it coming in blue makes me automatically put it on my future cases list. Always figured if I wanted a blue case i'd have to get a white and paint it.

Back in 2019, I bought a "GOLDEN FIELD M3S" case from Amazon for a client which came with USB and Headphone jack dust plugs. I didn't know such a thing existed and promptly bought some for one of my machines where the front USB ports were _constantly_ getting plugged with dust.

I've actually kept my bios speaker from ages ago and it's served me well. Especially when I didn't have a diagnostic indicator on my motherboard.

I really like the fact that there is openings in the front side to the power supply and cables,makes cable management a lot easier.Always just think it is wrong just to push cable in to hide them.

I live near the ocean so I'm sitting here looking at that color and I actually love it because I think it would go amazing with an ocean themed custom build.

Really appreciate seeing these review on some lesser known brands. I really like the blue and would absolutely consider purchasing one of these at the $100 price point. I need to do a daily use build for a family member and I'm thinking of using this case.

My wife and I purchased several Montech cases last year for some budget builds we were doing. I was very pleased with the quality of the cases and the price just couldn't be beat. $50 bucks each... holy moley!

I got the Montech DT24 Metal Premium cooler for my recent 13600k build. SUPER SICK cooler. Works great and I didn't even have to use both fans to get 75C @ 180w

i find computers so interesting. i love watching shit like this even though im not even in the market to buy a computer case. i get just as excited about innovations with computer cases, cpu coolers, etc. as i do with gpus, and cpus. this still interests me even though this case didnt do anything different. you get my point. everything about computers peaks my interest.

I absolutely miss living near a Micro Center. T’was glorious, the one I used to live near had a Fry’s & QZAR < 2mi away (before they both ceased to be a thing).

In the last couple of years I've built over 40 PCs in Montech cases. My personal favorite is the AIR X with (2) 200mm ARGB front fans and (1) 120mm ARGB rear fan coupled with a full ARGB fan hub. Outstanding value in my opinion.

I actually was considering Montech for my "cheap-ass" budget build.. it was close loss to another low cost manufacturer but did impress me... The case I chose had the advantage of a little more depth for cable management on the backside but I probably could have made the Montech work.

I built my pc in a Montech fighter 500 and I love it, I removed the static fans that came in the case and install some cooler master rgb fans that could run off my board. But now for some reason you can only get this case on ebay, been thinking about building another pc in this case.

Orange would go really great with that case too. Nice

I love my montech sky one lite case. I’d love to get this one. Wish it had 3 intake fans on that side panel instead of only fitting a 240 rad, but everything else looks solid. Montech labels their screws better than any other company also!

I have an Aerocool Aero-1000 for years, that came with dust caps like these. I love them, since I don't use the front ports, and I'm the type of guy that puts tape on every open socket to prevent dust from getting in!
