I agree. But I would think having attorneys on jury's would benefit the defense more than the prosecution. Of course, that could also depend on what type of attorneys they are. The judge should have not allowed attorneys to be on the jury. As an example, the attorney in this piece is obviously biased for the defense. If you get an attorney from CNN they would probably be biased for the prosecution. If trump is found guilty on some of the charges (he will not be found guilty on all the charges - he has been overcharged) I wonder if having attorneys on the jury would be grounds for an appeal?

the Biden administration’s most recent “cancellation” of loans, shifting $5.8 billion in loans from 78,000 borrowers to hard working Americans. This brings the cost of President Biden’s election driven loan scheme to a staggering $143.6 billion and counting, with the price being borne by the taxpayers: In just three years, the Biden administration has attempted to spend an unprecedented $1 trillion on loan “forgiveness” in a clear circumvention of Congress. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that President Biden’s unconstitutional student loan bailout would have cost taxpayers more than $330 billion. The President’s six unwarranted extensions of the pandemic student loan repayment pause have increased the deficit by $165 billion. The administration’s latest form of backdoor student loan cancellations, the so-called “SAVE Plan” could cost taxpayers as much as $558 billion over the next decade. Student loan bailouts are regressive and do nothing to address the root causes of soaring college tuition costs. More than 60 percent of Americans do not have a college degree. Only 13 percent of taxpayers have student loan debt. Since 2000, college tuition and fees have increased by a whopping 186 percent, or twice the increase in inflation. President Biden’s FY25 budget proposal doubles down on higher education provisions, proposing an additional $290.3 billion to “reduce the cost of and expand access to postsecondary education, and training,” including $90 billion for “free community college.” Less than 1.7 percent of this funding would go toward increasing colleges' and universities' accountability regarding mounting college tuition costs, exacerbating this crisis even further. The prosecutor, Dreeban, argued that there were layers of protection that guard against political prosecutions, he mentioned the oath of office federal prosecutors and the AG take to behave lawfully and uphold the constitution. I was like, "Okay. But this case is about Trump, who also took an oath, behaving unlawfully and violating the constitution. It's hard to argue that no office holder would ever do that, while accusing one of doing it." Dreeban also mentioned the grand jury process as one of the safeguards. Alito was unconvinced. He brought up the old saw about ham sandwiches, then asked Dreeben if, in his many years at the DoJ, he had seen "a lot of cases where a US Attorney or another federal prosecutor really wanted to indict a case and the grand jury refused to do it". Dreeban insisted it does happen. Alito responded, "And every once in a while we have eclipses, too." Quote of the day, as far as I'm concerned. I think Alito was acerbic because Dreeban had just stood there making one of Turley's red-face arguments. The alternate slate of electors was an attempt to deceive. I'm sure judges watch the news. Trump and his team were talking publicly about the alternate slate scheme well before they did it. So where's the element of deception? No one was going to be deceived. It was all out in the open. As far as political cases go, it's hard to argue that you can rely on prosecutorial discretion when you're arguing that Trump intended to deceive congress when he publicly announced what he was doing.
