Carpet is the most unsanitary flooring you can use. My advice is tile with removable rugs. Cleaned carpets long enough to know carpet is never clean!

My grandparents had a "brooter house" that we all would use as a storage shed! I've found a heap of tools & furniture out there😁 I found a 100 year old iron bedstead that had about 10 layers of paint on it but we had it sandblasted to reveal it's true beauty! Funny thing is that it had wooden wheels that still rolled!!👍

@ Well...if you're near Searcy, Arkansas, I can give you 2 addresses that has 2 whole brooter houses & 1 that's just the skeleton. My grandparents had 210 acres but they sold 100 acres in `94. That's why one brooter house is almost torn down

I just got randomly recommended this. I actually have a carpet outside right now which needs to be cleaned. My new foster cats were running crazy around my house and in less than 2 seconds managed to take out both the flower vases on the side tables as well as an entire fresh cup of tea on the coffee table and not even stop to see the carnage they left behind. Needless to say, the rug needs to be cleaned. The soap in a watering can is a BRILLIANT idea, as I had no idea how I was going to evenly spread it out while cleaning it.

Don’t forget to turn it over and do the back. I tried cleaning one with a vac carpet cleaning, nothing as good as this for sure, sent it to a professional as I could still smell cat pee on it, they did a marvellous job. Just like Jacob does.

I was just thinking the same thing! One of my favorite jobs was working at a dog board place. Spent 6 hours a day outside, playing with dogs and cleaning pens (scooping dog poop) for minimum wage and I loved it. Thst should tell you my opinión of most people. Lol

@@PinkAlphaMom I worked at a greyhound rescue poop scooping, walking and feeding the dogs, did it for a year paid, working mornings or afternoon and 2 years volunteer, same work but no money. I did it for the dogs and cos I volunteered I picked afternoon shifts cos I hate mornings and no one ever loves 40 kennels full of yapping dogs, pee, poo and God knows what at 7 in the morning, I picked 3 till 7pm 7 days a week and loved every minute

What are you doing on your Saturday night? Spending HOURS watching this guy clean carpets, and enjoying it!

Bless you for seeing the beauty within all the grime, and taking time to clean and shine it up again. It is expensive to clean carpets, but if it is quality, spend the money to save it. I have a 100% Wool Zebra rug that is about 30 years old. I had a professional cleaning and a new backing in 2019. I absolutely love my rug so it will remain in my family.

Reminds me of my mom when she would take the rugs out back and use the hose to clean them every few months. She would use carpet shampoo and scrub them with an old short bristle broom. Then she would leave them in the sun to dry.

IN the 60' s, I cleaned all of my Mom's handhooked throw rugs on my knees with a scrub brush spring and fall. They never looked this good, though.and Rug Doctors were so heavy and unwieldy;!!

This didn't sit in a chicken coop for 10 years. Even regular cleaning wouldn't have kept it looking as good as it was. The uric acid and other chemicals would have eaten holes and worn down the fibers after only a year or two.

@@CRRNCRW No, the colors where brighter after the wash. From experience, dye does not come out that easily, especially since he was not bleaching it. carpet naturally holds in a lot of dirt and hard to get out easily. As a side note, using an extractor is more efficient as far as water use, but the same happens after a few passes with extra dirty carpets.

Yet my friends laugh at me when I buy rugs from the thrift store and wash them in my driveway ! I use a lot of baking soda for odors, I bring rug home, lay it out, sprinkle with baking soda, sit in sun for an hour or so, wash, rinse until clear, let dry and Voila, brand new rugs appear. You guys are the best, so satisfying watching a beautiful rug reappear from the mess. I also want to know who put this beautiful rug in with the chickens ??🤔🤔

The carpet was never washed and the dye came out of the carpet. I acidified it, I think it will be better with the next wash 🤗💖

cause it is a handmade turkmen carpet, these carpets are very valuable and glorious and it's made by central asian turkmen people, making handmade carpets like this one is a part of their culture

My number one concern would be him walking on the fold of the wet carpet at the end. I'm sure thousands of fibers were distorted and even broken. Also he obviously favors everything to his left. Why push the water out always the same direction, it seems uneven cleaning. Why push the water out at all, seems to me vacuuming the water/dirt straight up would be better. Also why not spin the water out twice half way through. Why not use compressed air to blow more dirt/dust out of the dry carpet before cleaning starts.

That's because that was a b******* statement that carpet would be that dirty in about 5 minutes 10 years I've got 6 ducks come on man that carpet would be dry rotted and fallen apart with all that scrubbing

And the floor is covered in crap so thick you have to use a flat edge shovel to scrape it from the floors cause its like velcro. There is no way this rug was lying on the floor in a chicken barn. Not happen! Now it may have been rolled up in the corner somewhere possibly but they roost on just about everything so it should have been even worse than it was.

Yeah I had a nice linen comforter that I hung over my chicken's coop or what I call their bedroom inside their coop excuse me I'm sitting here saying chickens my ducks and it was ruined just by laying on top of their bedroom and like a month's time that I had to throw it away so I can't see it rug being used in a chicken coop for 10 years and then it coming in that building looking that good even though it was dirty and they did a good job cleaning it I guess I know the dude worked really hard at it but that's about all I can say

Couple of things: I watched a rug get cleaned for 40 minutes. This felt like one of those pet rescues where the pupper had a real hard go and someone cleaned it up and loved it.

I subscribed after watching one video. The work you do is so satisfying to watch-just a real effort that is palpable, and feels almost zen to watch you doing it.
