I tried this build out this evening. Good God this thing stomps. I used four weapons groups as suggested, and it was a natural to play - heat management is very doable. Fantastic build.

I consistently find that spamming lasers has almost no downsides in most matches. Yeah there’s the odd death ball brawl but right now no one really brawls hard. Add to that the speed of clan mechs to peak and dip for cooling and it’s a no brainer

Yeah, the jump jets being tied to the "Torso" instead of being in the leg omnipods has been an unwelcomed surprise :(

What exactly does the difference in them being legs or torso do? Is it something to do with the thrust trajectory?

@@josephholcomb4410 as far as I know, it's just a position. I prefer to switch legs (which have no omnipod bonuses nor weapon slots) than a side torso (which has both, and in a BAS with shoulder mounted weapons more often than not means getting shot in the back of said side torso when shooting at the weapon)

2 less medium lasers 1 more double heatsink and max armor... might be better

I like using pulse lasers as an alternative to the longer firing ERs. I have a black knight with 9 of MPLs and it doesn't do as much raw damage, but it allows some good pinpoint armour and component stripping.

This is very close to one of my dream builds in the Battletech board game. I still have the build sheet somewhere, but I think it was an IS Warhammer C3 fit with Clan lasers and HS instead of PPC. My updated PC build is almost done, I may have to look into MWO again. Personally, I would probably drop 2 med lasers and add an additional HS and more armor for this build.

Damn this thing looks scary! Every day I'm getting more and more tempted to pick up the pack for myself 👀

Feel like with some green and white paint job you could do a pretty convincing Bowser mech.

At one point I had 80-110 potential dmg output on all my mechs (excepting the lights of course), now oddly theyre all at 40-60 dmg and Im making more match score and damage per round than ever. Just goes to show... I suck at riding the heat scale hahaaaaa!

Putting the fear of Kerensky into them!

I could have watched this mech for an hour. 10-15 min was not enough.

try srm6 and streak-srm 6 vomit blood asp! it is fun with e arms, rancor side torsos and prime ct.

If you look at the results of the first match, the top player on the opposing team was also piloting a blood asp.

Can this thing even fire on a hot map?

How did you remove the jump jets and hand actuators? It said fixed equipment.

You might have to buy the bolt-ons for the special variant from the pack seperately. Those bolt-ons were part of the preorder pack mwomercs.com/predator

I haven't played in a while but one of the first mechs I started dominating in was the 4LL stalker. It hit hard and had all the weapons on the top of the mech.

Depends on your playstyle, I just started playing aswrll and the first mechs I really fell in love with were the bushwhacker with two rac 5s and the linebacker with 6 mpl, bushwhacker is relatively tanky for a medium and is great has great dps with the rotary auto canons, the linebacker is extremely quick for a heavy and relatively tanky aswell, my model has jumpers for positioning and very good pinpoint damage in mid range with the mpls, I generally prefer flanking and hit and ran tactics with the faster mechs

havent played since i think MW 2 long time ago. is it the same where if you blow their legs off, they are dead and you get all the salvage?

Not sure about blowing up both legs but the legs don't actually blow off in this. They just get horribly damaged and you become super slow if I recall correctly.

It's similar. You get a salvage bonus in the form of CBills when you blow up both legs. Otherwise: Blowing up one leg = mech gets slowed down (considerably), both legs = kill.

I didn't know we needed an "IT HITS LIKE A TRUCK" warhorn, but here we are. As much as I hate wrestling, I think we need every youtuber to record some wrestling-worthy one-liner for a set to go into a warhorn. And the animation is, of course, smashing a chair over some sad mech.

Ive been trying a build like this (with HMed or Med Pulse) since the pack dropped as a joke and havent been able to make it work.... I need to git gud...

At 6:01.. how long do they have missile locks? All day. You took zero in Radar Deprivation, so you're running with the stock E(S) bonus of 25%. With a few nodes in Target Decay, that's 3 volleys into you easy. Radar Derp... it keeps the missiles away.

@@silverthorngoodtree5533 And it really doesn't matter how much cooldown you've taken, because even with all the heat nodes you can get, there's no WAY you can fire again as soon as your weapons are ready unless you're ONLY firing the LPLs. Its dysfunctionally hot.

@@gbprime2353 I might be late but BAS-D's center torso has 5% heat dissipation along with 25% radar derp quirk so this might help.

I watched your twitch when you ran this.. and didn't have the cool shot... when that assault mech came around the corner on Grim plexis. Your laugh was soooooooooooooooooo EVIL.. I couldn't stop laughing myself. Good fun. I built it too, I can't stop laughing when I fire and melt other mechs. It affects my aim, soo evil ... sooo fun.... Side note they need to add a quirk for +1 or +2 for Lpl, Er ppc, or ER LL. It really needs it.

too bad that the removeable JJs are a bug right now. When this gets fixed, this beauty won't work anymore, 'caus the JJs will be locked in the legs again. 8 tons less to work with.

basically you take the ecm chasis, and just add the right torso from this thing. sadly Stock...it.. NEED some love.

Leave it to teammates to be useless, even in the year 2022

Fun to watch but I hate playing the game. The mech dads that play are scaredy cats. They absolutely refuse to push or make efforts. Everyone just hides in the corner and takes pot shots or goes in one at a time and gets slaughtered. It always boils down to which SINGLE aggressive light or medium can carry the match.
