what are the weight of the domes that come with the EC kit?
Ive got F1S, Matrix Boards, Ramas, Mr Suit, Janes and other high end boards,, the class is the best value, between them all, it weighs 3.2kg+ and is on the same level as the best premium boards
Sound test got my nips steady stiff, I don’t mind a lil scratch tbh
What do you think of Varmilo EC boards?

Interesting you don't get weird clacking sounds from gmk keycaps. My heavy grail had such insane ugly bad clacking sounds from gmk caps slamming on the plate so now I'm currently using sa caps which looks weird as hell on it

i got to try typing on an R1 Class80 at my last meetup. it was half plate with the original flex cut pcb and good lord the flex was insane looool
I was going to buy that one but decided not to, to try and get something else 😢
Is it me or does it sound scratchy? I imagine it's very smooth to type on but what's that grainy sound??? Is that all the mush from the dome?

Yes topre sounds scratchy because of the rubber domes but feels very smooth
Man this makes me want a Type-B so bad
How can a keyboard sound both scratchy and mushy at the same time...
Honestly grabbing the EC board with all the bits and making your own keeb could be a good deal considering the offerings with topre in general are fairly lacking imo.

I bought a mechanical keyboard. The package comes not looking like the main image. Then I find out a plate is missing even though in the description it said there was 2. Tried to return. Return got closed. Tested out the keyboard to find that a key doesn't work. Contacted the seller to no avail and if I try and make another return on the item it says "Case Closed" and I can't make another one. I am quite stressed as it costed a lot of money for me and I am fearing that I won't get my return back. Tried contacting ebay but apparently the only thing they have at most is a trashy automated service. What am I meant to do bruh 😭😭😭

Is Topre patent also expired? This is a fully custom PCB, meaning it would violate their patent if it hasn't expired.

@@jammies701I do a Google search after commenting this. Indeed, their patent already expired just like Cherry MX. What strange is that manufacturers don't seem to pick up Topre's design. Meanwhile Cherry MX design have hundreds of derivatives.

@@bltzcstrnxpeople literally have though, Densus and Deskeys make domes and there's Taobao domes as well, and that isn't even mentioning all the other hardware like sliders and housings that manufacturers are also making

@@bltzcstrnxthere are a couple companies innovating on topre but another big problem of lack of demand is due to lack of exposure which makes a business risk. Prebuilt topres like hhkb and realforce are super rare in the wild but mx is in almost every prebuilt mech. Most just don't know and don't want to take an expensive chance when they already know they like mx

Not a very good EC build tbh, stock Realforce or XRF still sounds better
