Pro Tip when using WorldEdit: Blocks that use complex models or contain special data/nbt tags will almost always require being pasted twice. This has been a bug with WE for a loooong time but nobody can pinpoint the cause of it due to it being fairly inconsistent when it happens. Just remember to paste things twice and you'll be fine.

the way you worked out the issue with the end portal lava block thing was genius,and it gave me the inspiration to try my hand again at making crouching work like a source game!

discovered submarine boats, lava freezing boats, flying boats, on lava driving boats and breaking the world. you can save a commandblocks using structureblocks, maybe they dont glitch so much with command. they are part of the vanilla game, they also can save entities. I could save a custom entity "Skeleton King" perfectly.

This was so funny and that command block which makes the boats jump, make dropped things teleport and we can't pick those up , made a circle which boats, is the best minecraft command block ever!

I've literally never used a command block, but it's interesting and fun to watch you troubleshoot with them!

6:02 I think what happened here is that you got in the boat and whatever command you ran caused your client to exit the boat, but your player is actually still in the boat on the server, so when you threw the ink sacs, it tossed them from where the boat was because your player is actually there. When you log in you see that you're in the boat since it resynced you with your actual player. If you look up "fundy boat glitch" you'll find some videos that show off this weird bug, but using a different method to cause it

There’s a new nbt tag in 1.17 called HasVisualFire, which determines whether the fire can be seen on an entity

Ohh, 6:00 what happened is: there's a glitch with boats that the server things you're inside them, but your client thinks you're not, so in reality, the boats(along with you) must have gotten teleported to a cave or something where alot of glow squids died, and the "you" in the boat picked them up (atleast thats half of whats going on)

I'm still confused with how to use redstone, yet you go ahead and do this. I am very impressed 👏

The explanation I can think of that explains the weird behavior of boats with the command block, is that once a player is in the boat, the boat that the player is riding in is no longer considered the same kind of entity as a boat without a player.

idea: after you finish something with commands like this, turn it into a datapack, its pretty easy, basically the same commands. Then it works everywhere without loaded chunks

I think at 7:02 the reason it wasn't working is because the ai of the rider always overrides the ai of what is being ridden, so is the command block moved the player up and the boat up it would work

For removing the fire effect, I'm pretty sure in a 1.18 snapshot that there is a /team subcommand that allows you to toggle the on fire effect on and off. I think it would be worth a try to get rid of the fire blocking your screen and on you.
