F90 are worse even. The bearings are even shittier and rods weaker. Just change the bearings and always keep an eye on misfires (injectors, coils and plugs)

Need a new module most likely. Swap the module out from the working light and test it to the non working side. If the led lights up, you need to replace the module. If the led does not light up, it’s probably best to get a new headlight I think

If it’s an A3 8V it’s the DRL control unit which can only be accessed by removing the bumper or arch liner.

I’m sorry but openly admitting your speed on a ‘private runway’ whilst parked next to a motorway and then uploading it is not the smartest thing to do!

apparently there was a call back on the f10 engines for the oil pressure unit being faulty. this would cause the engine to blow. I own a 2014 model and the last BMW service was at 2018. I know a 2016 m5 that had this issue, cost him 10k to fix the engine.

For both f90 and f10 it’s the same engine except we charge £750 more for the f90 being a 4wd, full cost to forge a running engine is £9000

S63 engines are known to be weak. Especially the rods and rod bearings are known to let go when you throw any power at it

True say but own one or any performance car and you will soon the stock power always gets boring and you just want to take it further, on a case like this where the engine has failed it’s an excuse to forge it as it’s all out

Loads of M engines have common issues just as injectors overfuelling and engine bearing issues this one seemed to have a bearing issue

Wow who has an M5 and has it half yellow and half black???? the engine wanted out of its skin dude!!!!!

If the rod bearings were done in that F10 M5, it appears that someone didn't do the last two stages of torquing the rod bolts. This would be a lesson for those who buy the F10 M5. Do the rod bearings and torque rod bolts to the required specification before 60k miles. Do not reuse rod bolts!

Cracking up when he said private runway 🤣🤣. Going to hurt his wallet getting this back on the road.

Facts

Put a LS7 in it and call it a day. You can beat the 💩 out of those and afterwards they drive like nothing happened. If I had a V8 Bimmer I'd LS swap it for sure. The LS is more reliable, make a 💩 ton of power, and the parts and maintenance are cheaper, but I have 2001 Z3 3.0i. if I ever brought another Z3 I'd LS swap it for sure. 💯🔥
