    My hands are to big for the string trick. I just went with Kiwi grips. They work well.

    Great hack idea! Just a tip, generally every manufacturer makes 2 types of racquet grip. Dry grips for sweaty palms, and tacky grips for dry palms. Just read the packaging to see what’s best for you.

    For the Quest controllers, I wonder if you could just cut a couple of strips and put them on either side so you would still have access to the battery cover without unwinding the wrap

    why not clip snippets an glue it on? That way you can still open the battery cover. But the biggest issue for me isn't the grip rather then it's too short. I only get 3 fingers around, the pinky hangs under the controller. A quick fix with a 3d printer but it's a shame oculus (i'll never refer them as meta) made them that short.

    That's a good tip. Another good tip is that anytime I change batteries, I give my straps a wash. I give them a good scrub in the sink with some hand soap. They dry super quick and it keeps them looking white. And they also don't feel nasty when I wear them.

    Probably, but that usually has a cloth-like texture, where grip tape is more akin to duct tape for the outer texture. It would probably also be considerably more expensive. I use kt-tape for my wrists though.

    Holy hell, that stupid strings can be removed from the quest?!? I have one of those covers that simulate what the Index has, the band that goes over your hand, so I just have these useless danglely string loop things for no reason. I keep thinking about cutting them off but now I'll just remove them!

    i have yet to find something better than the KIWI extended grips.. They make your controllers longer, add a thick rubberized grip over the entire controller, and have an adjustable strap that holds on to your hands. you could completely let go of the controllers, even in a throwing motion and the controllers will be stuck to your hands.. theyre cheap and work amazingly well. I'm a huge advocate for them. they change the whole feel of the controllers from some thin ugly feeling, weak feeling dainty controllers to thick durable GREAT feeling controllers.

    Right so... cutting my hands off with a spork and super gluing the controllers to my wrists wasn't necessary then? Damn it

  • @LampDoesVideogame
    @LampDoesVideogame2 жыл бұрын

    It's just grip tape. Lol. Another tip. If your wrists or elbows hurt, look up KT Tape! It's helped me completely break through multiple brick walls in BS. I also cannot use grip tape because I have silicone covers. I can't grip the controller itself well, because of nerve issues.

  • @christophercoey7804

    Why? I mean once you change to claw grip you realise the game is so much easier, because you have way more wrist motion, and there is zero issue gripping the controller with a class grip. Anyone using a Quest 2 controller not using a claw grip is simply making the game unnecessarily harder for themselves.

    @@Naysy - Fair enough, you're great at the game regardless, love the vids/content/super helpful. I only got Beat Saber in January, struggled until I moved to claw and just getting the good As and S scores in Expert. I guess expert plus is a way off, everyone talks of the big jump in difficulty - Eeks! Your improvement vids were super cool by the way. I wrongly assumed all the players on expert plus were using claw. The irony - I'm a former tennis coach who was bemused at the use of tennis grip tape lol.
