The story takes place about 50 years after Ghost of Tsushima. Kamakura, which Sakai Jin defended from the Mongols, was destroyed by Ashikaga Takauji. This anime contains some fictional elements, but is primarily based on historical facts.

The Hojo clan symbol, the three triangles are what inspired or more like literally taken in design for the triforce in the legend of zelda

If you find the names, special words and background of the story confusing, please refer to my brief explanation (from Japan). Tokiyuki is a prince who was supposed to be a future king (more like a prime minister) who would rule the country. Kamakura is the area around present-day Yokohama, which is called the "Kamakura Period" because the samurai established a political base there. Around 1333, the king (Tokiyuki's father) had become a mere figurehead, as we see at the beginning of the story. Ashikaga Takauji went on an expedition to defeat the Emperor (Empire Godaigo), who was trying to destroy the Samurai government and regain power in Kyo (Kyoto) taking advantage of the political instability. However, Takauji turned to the side of the Emperor and destroyed the Hojo clan(Tokiyuki's family) and the city of Kamakura.

No the charecters are real and events are true but not factual in any sense its fiction based on real characters so the story goes as how the mangaka wants to write it

Elusive is this context most likely means "hard to catch". Elusive basically means "slippery". It can refer to tangible and intangible things. But in this context I am pretty sure it means he is literally hard to catch/grab/hit.

Yorishige's va is also Gojo's (and Sein's)

I found this anime interesting because even though this is fiction, the story is based on real historical characters and events, and I've read the manga after watching the anime, they explained the real events in each chapter of the manga so it was quite a fun ride for me. Even the characters' behaviors are based on historical notes, and it's quite interesting.

Betrothed is basically like, set to marry.

Hojo Tokiyuki was destroyed by the Ashikaga clan, but the Ashikaga clan was also destroyed by Oda Nobunaga. There is a theory that this was because they were not true Japanese.

You should also check out wistoria: wand and sword. The animation was phenomenal. Also, if you are interested then check out no longer allowed in another world which is based on real life person osamu dazai who is a suicidal maniac. This season is stacked.

I wouldn't have recommended you this before but now that you are watching soo many new anime coming out this season, it's perfect for you to react and give your thoughts on it. Also it might tell you about the hidden gems of this season that you otherwise wouldn't have known bcoz they are not that popular.

Succsessor of Hojo clan never got be Shogun, It's Shikken, the title of Kamakura Shugunate of Hojo's. For long time, the Emperor title was used to be puppet by Shogun. Shogun title was puppet by Shikken of Hojo clan. And Shikken like Tokiyuki's father got to be puppet by his own servants. Megalomaniac Emperor Godaigo was boring such puppet show, and he wanted to be a real ruler. Emperor's ambision effected to Takauji awaken Muromachi Shugunate plannig. It was the trigger of chaotic tragedy.

English isn't his first language, right? Not knowing words is fine. I highly doubt he chose to learn the word "concubine" and chose not to learn "betrothed". It's just a matter of what words he has encountered.
