    As a general rule of thumb for the daily vods Woohoojin says that if you're lower than gold it's because of not enough mechanics practice. It's hard to give more advice than "just study, practice and get better at movement and aim". However if you meet the various criteria that was mentioned in this video, Woohoojin does some limited coaching on Wednesdays for low elo. But only for people that can actually prove their problems are more unique than just not drilling mechanics.

    on wednesdays he does low elo coaching I believe but imo you shouldn’t waste your time hoping for a vid review, just work on your mechanics and you’ll win.

    14:55 What Woohojin says is true, as long as you don't have other issues like with confidence or stress while playing, or a tendency to overthink or be distracted from what's going on at the current moment. You will ONLY be able to get Radiant-level aim IF you learn to FOCUS-UP, and stop any worrying, instead accept every possible outcome. The reason people often perform mechanically better in a Deathmatch or Aimlab is because there is none of that pressure or complexity. Stress or overthinking is quite natural to happen to new players, and of course, this will almost never have a positive impact on your gameplay.

    Lmao same. I think it's a mental thing of caring about competitive too much. Don't worry so much about losing that you are afraid to use what you learned. I found the games I was the most casual and least worried were the ones I popped off.

  • @snowpools8498

    Seriously though, don't even worry about deadzoning until you are like diamond minimum. Literally just focus on crosshair placement and bursting, don't even worry about strafing either until like high silver/low gold. Just practice what is realistic and easy to get the hang of, because putting all of your focus into something like deadzoning is pointless when you can't even 1 tap people or have no idea what to actually do in a round

    you really dont need to learn deadzoning.. even if you learn it, just learn the general timing. You don't need to practice 200h bro. its super niche imo, even top 1 doesnt use it lol. Deadzoning should be basically last priority. You will get more kills just peeking normally and killing

    That makes no sense. What if you miss the shot when you peek? Are you just going to stand still and shoot or crouch spray? Deadzoning is how everybody shoots at medium-high range. Goofball. @@__bayon

    10:00 Well let me introduce myself - Someone who enjoys replicating Radiant plays, yet is hardstuck Diamond! Well, I'm not actually hardstuck. I just don't play enough of the game, but I am a huge nerd and I know infinitely more about the game than what I can apply in real-time. Though that's just knowledge, not actual 'true' understanding, so I'm not sure how much this would be worth for long-term improvement, if I started playing the game more. Anyway, I did actually make a near-identical play once to finish off a game, but the spike was planted under the boxes instead, and I ended up being literally above the defusing enemy. Epic way to end a game, but I did have a no-comms team so sadly no hype.

    Is it weird. That I don't play Valorant outside of a handful of unrated a month just goofing off with friends, but I still watch these videos daily. I play ranked League of Legends 6 out of 7 days of the week. I practice various League drills and study methods. I watch this videos for 2 reasons. 1) The talking banana has a really fun personality that's just enjoyable to watch. 2) Hearing someone daily talking about a healthy growth mindset actually helps me in League. The speciifcs between Valorant and League are very different because they're very different games. But the core ideas of how ot improve oneself stay the same across all things. I obviously can't take any Valorant specific advice away from these videos. But imo there is a lot of value in these daily videos for even League players. There are only a few people in gaming that I can listen to and agree with and learn from so much as Woohoojin. In particular the concept of not allowing yourself to blame others for your losses. When you vod review, you don't get to complain unless you are completely blameless. As long as you hold some of the blame there is 0 point in complaining about people you'll never see again. Being "good enough" doesn't earn you the right to complain. While you have any amount of blame, you have room to improve yourself.

  • @themakerstoolbox9688

    @themakerstoolbox9688

    Жыл бұрын

    Honestly don't worry about aim too much. If you are in the top 5-10% on aimlabs your aim is good enough. Start learning things like strafing, dead zoning, and crosshair placement. Also try to focus on map awareness and angle positioning. Don't do this all at once but take it slowly. Aim is less important than all of these things. Once you are feeling good at that then start thinking about strats and working with teammates.

    I have a question for the masses cause I'm kinda lost on what to actually do in this case. I hard climbed upto Diamond 3 back about a few months ago when I actually had more time to play the game. Now I don't really play the game as much(cause of academic pressure n stuff) and mostly queue up with my friends who are of lower elo around Gold. Since I mostly 3-queue I can't really play in my main account and even if I somehow 5-queued I can feel that in order to play against players similar to that of my elo I'd have to put in more time into the game. Since I don't really have that much time I end up having to smurf regardless and the matches never really seem balanced to me or fun. What do I do in a situation like this?

    Back when I used to play an ungodly amount of kovaaks my technique was using short breaks. I do the same thing when studying for exams and big tests as well. I did a 1hr 30 min routine and did roughly 5 runs (of a 1 minute scenario) and a 1 minute break (it doesn't have to be a 5:1 ratio that Is just what I found worked for me) during the one minute kovaaks break do anything BUT look at a screen. Just stare off towards the far side of your room, drink some water, stand up and pace around, whatever just don't look at your screen (that counts your phone). I do something similar with school work and programming 5ish minutes and then a quick break to reset it helps me keep fully fresh the whole time Source: I was top 7 in close fast strafes invincible in like 2019 Edit: I also have ADHD my proof is that I some how forgot to mention that during a comment about doing thing with ADHD

    Each practice is 1 minutes long and 3 reps of them, you should be able to hold your attention for that long if maybe a little difficult. After you could just extend the breaks a bit but i’d reccomend trying to go as far as you can go until the break (takes abt 8 minutes to get to the break)

    quick thing at 10:00, that silent jump on to the wall and then the box really isn't that hard, it's more that ppl in low elo just don't know about it, I got g1 last season, went in to a custom game, and did it 1st try(no, was not a fluke, repeated it 10 more times, got all of them completely silent)
