This is extremely helpful Chris, and entertaining. Thank you! Do you ever find a need to switch back to from Fresco to Procreate for any tasks? Lettering? Using 3rd party features in Retro Supply, True Grit, etc? I can’t wait to get designing and animating in Fresco!

Glad you liked it and found it useful! There really isn’t anything that I go back to to Procreate for. Recently I’ve been using it a bunch to get the Procreate version of my Retro Supply Co pack ready. I like Procreate a lot, but Fresco just allows me to work a bit faster and more conveniently.

@@chris-piascik thank you. it seems so many tutorials, especially on Domestika, are for Procreate. I like the development team at a procreate and had hoped to support them. But I’m just much more comfortable with Fresco - especially the native brushes. I’d prefer not to use multiple apps where I can avoid it.
Nice!!! Ty man I asked about rotoscope in fresco last vid...tu Very much

The method I used was using 'print screen' every other frame using VLC player frame skip feature, then pasting them into each frame lol I will try your method tho!

Could you carry out all these steps directly on an iPad using Photoshop (iOS version)? Or are you not able to create an image sequence without using the desktop version? This looks like a great tip and can see this being rely useful 😊

Are you using vector brush sir?
@chris-piascik
3 күн бұрын
Not in this video. Vector wouldn’t be beneficial for animation as animations can’t be vector, it’s either going to be a video file or an mp4 and both are pixel based.

@@chris-piascik omg , I’m using vector brush for animation all the time. 😅
@chris-piascik

@JeforDie hah well it won’t hurt. It may get a little a laggy with a complex animation, but that’s about it.

lol I see what you did there
Only workaround you need is find an alternative to Adobe. After the recent fiasco, who still uses Adobe, simply can't trust them anymore. Lots of work I do, is under a NDA, if I use Adobe now that I know they are like peeping toms looking at my private work, I will be complicit in breaking any NDA.

I think you’re misinterpreting the TOS a bit. A good majority of my client work requires NDA’s and most of them are also using and requesting Adobe files. The TOS that a lot of people are worked up about are standard terms that nearly all cloud based apps use so that they can do things like generate thumbnails/copy+paste/etc. Adobe as since added explainers to everything I believe…

@@chris-piascik What I found is a lot of folks are really upset with Adobe because of using their local files, not only those on the "cloud", to train AI models and who knows what else. I don't think Adobe has allayed any fears in this regard, on the contrary, many people (myself included) now don't trust them at all and I suspect you will see quite a few organisations move away from the Adobe ecosystem. On the other hand, if your client/s specifically request that you work with Adobe type files and apps, then you are in the clear. I have now updated my response to any NDA by saying that I assume the client is aware of any potential NDA breach by a third party (such as Adobe) and by requesting the project be dependent in whole or part on any Adobe software or files, they assume all responsibility. Luckily my work revolves around video and audio so I make them aware of alternatives such as Da Vinci Resolve that handles ProRes 444 which has alpha channel support and for audio, there is Reaper and others. Some of my clients are more than happy to bounce the files to app agnostic formats such as 32 bit wav audio and ProRes (wrapped in a MXF) for video.
Props to Kirk for assist. 🛹
