All those newspapers and pics you throw away are desired by junk journal enthusiasts. Usually 10 pieces of whatever can run $15-20. The slides are also desirable. They usually sell 30 slides for about $15. Well worth trying to sell on Market place. You will have people wanting to buy.

Came here to say that, and all the old letters too
This entire locker is such a valuable beautiful time capsule of a man's lifetime works. It's priceless.
Sure hope you did some research, Jack!! Check to see if there is an Orchid Society near you. The wood and all of those pots were probably used together to earn the awards at the orchid competitions. Also, you're missing out with all of the old ephemera. Junk journalers like me will photocopy the deteriorating papers to have the old ads and headlines. There IS a big market for it!! Makes me very sad to see it all go into the trash! Even scientific papers with graphs and scales are great. The small "kiln" is probably scientific equipment that was fabricated for some specific experiment -- back in the day you couldn't just order stuff on Amazon -- you had to engineer it yourself. There's also a lot of interest in vintage documents regarding Nuclear Power theory and production. I'd buy all of those stamps and old envelopes and the little wax bags in a HEARTBEAT!!!!!! Even the empty stamp collecting albums are TREASURE to me!!! PLEASE sell them on Whatnot!!

whyd you "whatever" those Xmas ornaments, those are Shiny Brights, those are worth some cash
Bing & Grondahl or Royal Copenhagen for the danish dishes, definitely worth something. I used to collect it, I love it. Research it before taking it to Stockton.

The box for the blender was hamilton beach but the blender was oster...a much more expensive brand and vintage collectable
If you stick that reindeer decoration in your freezer for about 30 minutes all that candle wax will pop right off.

Crafters love old books, paper, old photos, slides, rocks etc , lots for your on line auction
Universities buy old books if they become part of the Studies course for reference, i work in Acquisitions in AUT, so it would not hurt to list them on Amazon, just in case, if they are rare. Its a fun job.
This was a fun locker to watch you go through it. For me, seeing the old coins was so cool. It had quite a few antiques, too. You were saying “mid-century” so much it made me wonder if I'm “mid-century” too? 😄 I'm 62, so I'm a little over half a century old. 😄 Thanks for being so kind and taking this locker for free from the elderly couple. Bless their hearts.
I sincerely hope that they are not watching this programme, it is their treasures, what a life they had.

It's disrespectful to stand and say whatever, whatever.....it's their lives and their things that he's got for free. I really hope they don't see the video. What a shame that you choose to be indifferent to what you say and I've always found him likeable, but it just went down.... Is it always something that he chooses to give them their photos and other returns if the older couple wants it. THINK about how you behave and say in the future when you get a locker for free

My imagination is going crazy with this locker! The former owner could have been experimenting with nuclear radiation and its effects on orchids! If you have a Geiger counter you could runic over those rocks!
Those small Japanese Pots are for Bonsai and can be valuable depending on the potter.
You can't beat free! The stoppers should fit the pyrex flasks.
There seems to be a lot of vintage & antique items $$$ there is much to profit from! Save the plant slides, send them to a botanical association with awards etc🌷🦋💐
I love the old school Xmas lights. Nothing beats the colours when lit.

Jack , there are a lot of people who are looking for old papers, photographs, calendars to do journaling with contact through online media. The tubes are all over the place somebody would give you 10 to 20 bucks for that stuff. Go forward.

Those aluminum trays sell for big money! They're double layered trays and air flows through them for a perfect two-sided browning. They sell for $60 each!
It's a copper wash tub boiler, used to "boil" clothes clean on an open fire or wood stove. +/- $75 to 100 in the Midwest if there are no holes in it.
I sold a scale pretty much like that for $75! I can’t believe someone at the better market wouldn’t buy it.
Love the Gumps figurines.
Thought you might be interested the Australian coin is one that is highly sought after. Copied from a Google search:- The value of a 1943 Australian penny can range from $20 to $250, depending on where they were minted and their appearance. This is because the 1943 Australian penny experienced mass production compared to other coins, as the country was in the middle of World War 2 during 1943, meaning the need for currency was higher than normal.
With the background of the owners those rocks may include some URANIUM ORE. Might want to get that checked out.

Especially since you are finding scholarly papers on atomic decay and other such topics Jack. I’ve read a lot about the history of atomic energy development and folks who accidentally hurt themselves on things they found in random places like storage lockers and basements. Please be careful. See if any of your buddies has a Geiger Counter.

Jack, please stop dissing Stockton. They do help contribute to your income a little and I’m sure there must be some nice people there. They probably don’t have a lot of money to spend on anything. Keep up the great videos. Marsha from Georgia

The Danish plates etc. can be worth decent money. Tons of collectors
Stoppers are for beakers 😀
Old Christmas ornaments sell all year long on EBay worth some big money
This locker brought me back to my childhood! That blender is identical to the one my 90 year old mom still uses. And I think that rag doll is known as a Topsy Turvy doll; it has 2 heads, and you can flip the skirt, depending on which doll head you want to play with. I had one from the late 1800’s, which interestingly had a blonde head on one side, and a black doll on the other.
The two pieces you first picked look like Purple Heart and Ebony. Both are equatorial species and are generally very expensive. The long narrow piece of ebony could be worth $100-$200 dollars. It also looks like it would be long enough for a finger board for an acoustic guitar
Fun locker to go through. Thanks for sharing. And, yes I have been patiently waiting on the video from the estate sale. I love estate sales. Glad you mentioned it. Hope it is out soon.
The Crocks in the corner could be very valuable depending on the maker also
Oh my those flat sheet cake pans are bakery type ,heavy duty !! Those wood deer we used to make those years ago and sell them LOL
Free is my favorite four letter word!
Given the age of the owner and the subject matter of his research, I think I would go over everything with a Geiger counter. And maybe take some iodine, too. Just saying.
Awesomeness 🦋🌷spread the love. Great to see some people are not greedy but actually giving by helping others ☮️🇨🇦💜
WTG Jack & Jana. Stepping up to help an older couple and for no charge is awesome. There are some good suggestions in the comments below on the value of some of the items you found.
There are Sterling silver buttons and cufflinks
Since you seen a generous person, I would recommend taking whatever medical equipment you find, call your local homeless shelter and donate them there. Some stuff they can't take but give them a call on the crutches.

Hmm...pottery shards, from Santa Fe? Hard to tell if those are legitimate collectables. Most pottery shards found in historical locations are forbidden to pick up.---Pictures at an Exhibition album in that stack. The first album I ever bought was a Leonard Bernstein's conducting album, music we played in High School band. Still one of my favorite music albums. I have it on CD & cassette! Lots of history behind that music for me.---I think those sand bags in the sewing box were for holding down delicate fabric when cutting out patterns, because the seamstress wanted to avoid pin holes.
So cool! I would love half of that stuff, even the slides! 💖
Take those aluminum trays to DeAnza. They are great.
I know you are in business and clearing lockers to make money which is an amazing job I would love to do what you do. I do feel you have a responsibility when finding specialist research stuff especially old such as the orchids to see if it is of interest to horticultural societies. It’s part of history and would have taken years of work and may be important.
People will definitely buy old album and letters if they don’t want them back. We use them in making art journals and what are called junk journals.
Like a time warp. He sounds a very interesting guy to talk to, would love to read those letters n look at those old photos too. For someone on very little sleep you sure can work hard still. Nice one 👏👍🏻❣️
The fancy small pots are sometimes used to plant orchards
Well since you got it for free, then everything you sell those items for is gravy. I'd be happy if that was a locker I got for free to resell. A lot of those old newspapers are collectable. Please make sure the family gets back all those family photo's. Someone in that couples family will want them I'm sure.
Always enjoy your videos ❤
I hope you check the value on the stamps. Even used old stamps can have significant value.
I wish more care and respect were used in the handling of this locker.
Look out for reactive glass and such; in the early days they had radio active things in watches and clocks ⏰ 🙈 🍀
Jack, seeing your videos its clear this locker is a rarity for you! Try not to be too quick to judge. We're talking beyond vintage! Research might mean big bucks for you! I hope you didn't make a dump run yet! Lol

Hey I watch a couple that does antiques and you really need to look into some of that really old. Don’t be quick to discount vintages glass and kitchen items and China. I know you want to turn it over quickly for profit. 😊❤
I love these Pyrex! I found some on a garage sale and I keep flowers in it.
Nice job, Jack. Fun stuff. Pottery and coins are cool.

All of the Danish China and the hammered aluminum are all definitely MCM items
Might you consider sharing your sales on this locker with the older couple that gave it to you?
I'd be very happy with the Sterling silver symbol that's a 100 bucks or about hard to find
. I will check out your WhatNot auction
what a fantastic locker with lots of neat intresting thing ive never seen before , a real treasure trove
You always make it interesting Jack. That Japanese vase is so pretty. Take care ❤
Hello Jack. Let's see what's inside of this free abandoned storage unit. Everything looks awesome.
Set a piece of cardboard underneath the reindeer with wax out in the sun. The sun will do most of the work and melt away the wax. Anytime you are dealing with wax, let the sun soften the wax for you. I do this all the time when I want to clean the wax off of whatever it is.
Those Shiny Bright ornaments you were unexcited about usually sell for decent money. I sold a decent size box of them for $80. I always pick up Shiny Bright for the right price. I am not sure what kind of margins you look for in reselling but I would keep those to sell for sure. Especially since you had them in the boxes and the colors looked to be in excellent condition. Also, some old ornaments that look like stained glass can be shell and those in sets like you have can be worth money. Even so, with as many as you had in sets, they would probably sell pretty decently. Everyone has their niche though.
All of those slides could be given to the orchid society
The bamboo prices go with that tub it's fontai n
The 2 smoky glasses that are in with the barware look like glasses that came in boxes of Duz detergent .
Check out the stamps on the old letters.
I do like the ceramic crock Pottery Flower pots
I would love to have the box with the science books
All that old papers is great for junk journaling !!!
Were those old Shiny Brite ornaments in that cooler? They could be worth something maybe...?
