might be some confusion here, these didnt actually come with a forward transfer case, he added that which is a common mod for cr-v's. originally they come with a drive shaft that's powered all the time and goes to a rear diff / transfer case that consists of dual hydrolic pumps that operate a clutch and send power to the rear diff. the way it works is normally its fwd, but when the front wheels spin more than the rear the pump which is driven by the front drive shaft overcomes the pump driven by the rear wheels and engages the clutch to send power to the rear. so its really only awd when the front tires are already spinning and is pretty laggy. so what he said is he added a front viscus coupler transfer case from another vehicle (sometimes a landrover) and eliminated the rear clutch pack by pinning it together. also would be intresting to do it on a 1st gen, because 1st gen had a double wishbone front instead of the macpherson of the 2ndgen

Replace the front lower control arm bushings with spherical bearings and it will eliminate 90% of the torque steer issues on that great little sleeper! ❤❤

Extend fear ratio, probably eliminate the torque steer. That’s definitely smooth the power band.

Iv always wanted to do this! I would hope however you could lower these and stiffen the suspension and put some smaller grippier wheels and tires make it corner well and hook!

Considering the power, height, and tire profile it actually corners fairly well. Just the power-on that's a bit touch and go haha

Good evening. Am loving this project. I to own a 03 CR-V here in Barbados 🇧🇧. Would you be able to give me some info on the wheel and tire combo ? Like what vehicle the rims are off of and what size tire is currently on the rim.... Thanks a million

I built a 250k 2jz tiny turbo swapped 4x4 4runner with 250k and with auto trans. Can shift to 4x4 on the fly. Super budget project but waxing v8s and mild built hondas is an absolute blast. Cant wait to get my hands on some 5.29s and a 100 shot.

The CR-V needs stiffer springs and stiffer dampers including it need to be tracked correctly so when it launching from a roll or from a stationary stop the weight transfer should shift to the back to get all the traction it needs but the stock suspension causes the sway on the road when throttle is opened only recipe for crashing or getting out of control

I LOVE SLOW CARS BEING BUILT! Absolutely awesome. I wish I could’ve seen the build. I know it is more expensive but I wish more people used generic engines. Not just LS, K, JZ. You guys know what I mean. It is just unimpressive at this point because it has been done over and over.

It's like crabwalking, wanting to pull wherever? Yeah, sounds like my 1st gen HRV which if I'm not mistaken is about the same years as the CRV you were driving. When I was cruising down the interstates here in Iceland at 90-100mph the car literally felt like a small boat. Smallest uneven surface made the car wiggle and I believe that's just a symptom of the awkward tallness. Never felt this before with lower cars, nor after. This feeling is completely gone for example in the 3rd gen CRV.

Maybe a small amount of camber. Stiffer rear suspension with thicker anti roll bar will help steering control

So sweet. I’ve always wondered if this was a thing, i mean everyone yanks the engine and drivetrain out of these for eg hatches so… why not just turbo it as it is? Lol probably a blast to blow the doors off of frs and 350 z’s in this haha. In a straight line of course.
