    It truly is. And also, the 4x400 is even worse I find because you have to keep strong at the end for good hand offs.

    i don’t know... good question. i think at some meets you’re only disqualified when you step out of your lane if you interfere with another runners race.

    Man I miss running and watching track and field. I wish it was as big in America as it is in other countries. Maybe create a professional league like or something. Just witnessing the speed increases your adrenaline.

    Yea I wish track was a bigger sport. People work so damn hard at it but barely get recognized as much as other sports. I feel like it’s gaining popularity though outside of the Olympic games

    lol I run for wings. I was in that Junior Olympics. I ran the 400, 4x1, 4x4 and the 800. In the 400 I ended up being the 6th fastest kid in the nation. This was really good!

    The third leg for the Athletes Academy team won it for them. Don't get me wrong the final leg guy blazed through, lit it up, what a finish from him, but he would have not got that chance had the third leg guy not pushed the way he did particularly in the last 100m before passing on the baton

    I understand why they have the staggered starts on the first lap, but why on the second as well? If you're on the outside lane (first leg), don't you end up running more than if you were inside lane?

    The stagger makes up for the distance of the bend. You will notice the stagger in this race is further than a 400 meter start.

    Asthmatic Spaz ehhhhh idk, those races are completely different and do use different systems. I run 200, 400m and 800m but if your more of a 200 guy then I wouldn’t recommend going for 800m

    Most Unique I’ve always found that the fastest sprinters could run an 800m even faster then some of distance runners who trained for it

    james jackson I ran in NY and NJ 77-80. We had cross country Sep-Nov. Indoor track Dec-Feb and outdoor track Mar-Jun.
