My Dad still wears his Casio AQ 230 from the 1990s. Even after 30+ years, it functions perfectly well and has only required battery replacements every so often. Due to inflation, the price of this watch has tripled since then, but it's still a great watch.

Theres no doubt the Cartier is classy but personally I'm not a big fan because I'm not keen on numerals all around the dial. However I love Casios and you've blended style and functionality on a budget....winner! I was thinking of picking up an AQ-230 so I'll definitely be trying this. Thanks mate 👍

I've got one of these I inherited from my step-dad when he passed last year. I need to get a new battery in there. And mine is slightly different, it has a crown you pull out to set the analog hands on the right side instead of a button.

That watch band just gives it a lil more umph. Thank you for this video

Great little watch. Armitron Grand or their new Flashback new introductions have different colors and is a great alternative to a tank or casio. Just add the leather band.

The Casio Analog LTP-V007L-7B2UDF a great alternative, the Casio LTP-V007L-9B is a women’s watch but has the same dimensions and $5 cheaper. Both have Roman numerals.

If stainless steel is a must, I can recommend the Armitron Ridgemont, which comes with the same colors and pricepoint. Theres also the Metro and Flashback which offer some different colors on the same design.

Casio should release a green dial similar to the new Santos. That would be a game changer! I just bought the turquoise and it’s stunning!!

How do you install the black strap?

Very beautiful watch for its price!,but analog time adjust a little bit slow😂. Demonstration by wear it is the right choice, cuz i think most ppl want to see how its look when wear it.

The Seiko SWR049 is also a nice alternative.

what size strap is needed?

I like this. The Fossil Carraway 3 Hand should be considered as well.

It’s beautiful with the leather strap.

The title is wrong. It is not that Casio made it, but it is that you have just discovered it. This sort of watches has been available for many years. I have an AQ-222 bought probably in late eighties and it looks the same. Only colours are different.

Indeed they have. However I haven't seen anybody make a video about how switching out the strap on these really changes the whole look and experience

How to change the strap tho?

I've done the same with a SKMEI 1612, so I've taken an homage of a Casio that's apparently a bit of an homage of a Cartier. THe SKMEI actually has a metal case and a mineral crystal.

Where did you find for $30?

I would buy Cartier tank because it's rectangular, and because it's slim. It's hard to find watches that are slim. Rectangular and offer that classic vintage look . I've been thinking about buying a titan edge rectangular or a sanda tank . Or Seiko dolce 7740 series watch. This Casio double time is useful as daily driver beat down watch. Rather than a dress watch , the form factor of this watch looks a lot like casios regular watches like a158w or f91w . And it matches the Seiko dolce series a lot too. Honestly if you're at the budget of 20/30 euro. And you don't mind buying a clone/knock off you should go with sanda tank, the ladies version is almost identical to must de Cartier. Or if you got a little big budget, you should go for the Seiko dolce series. And buy this watch shown in video as a daily driver watch , something that's versatile . With leather strap you can wear it everyday and pull off the look of Cartier tank . But it doesn't match the dimensions if you know what I mean. By no means it's close to jlc Reverso, or Cartier tank. It pays a homage to the Cartier tank in a different manner, similar to the Seiko dolce series watches

@TopTierTicker 😵🥺 wish it was real steel atleast coloured in gold....this i realized afrer getting my b650 all black version i thought the case was steel coated in black but its plastic coated in black🙊 i felt disappointed after that so i am going to be more careful wish casio now after that experience

Great review! I wanted to get this version first, as a Cartier tank alternative, but then I saw the model LTP B165 (kzread.info/dash/bejne/c4p9x5aYgLm7o7g.htmlsi=SEFWRk0ZZMIsYbnS) and that one looks more like a Cartier Tank. It has a higher price, but I think that one has that Cartier tank aestetic. I only found just one review about it on KZread, so people don’t know anything about it yet. And they are too hard to find outside Europe.

It would've been better without the digital watch. They should've made another version of it without the digital.

Not bad. Again, its one of the models that's a little more on the nose with the design cues. I personally prefer this model as it has a lot of functionality with the digital display but still looks elegant. But great suggestion and thanks for watching
